State of the War: Video Roundup

87

I thought maybe I’d start a new series where, to fill in the gaps between longer articles and SITREPS, we can parse out a few of the top daily/weekly videos with commentary, perhaps discuss the absurdity of them, etc. It would be a way for us to share more content and connect over it more often. But vote in the poll at the bottom if you’d prefer less of this, as I understand things can start feeling spammy or oversaturated at a certain point. There’s simply so much daily content that I wish I could comment on or ends up not fitting into the larger reports (as they’re already overladen).

Also, seeing as how I noticed that Substack actually posts the full quality videos rather than compressing them into very low SD quality as Bitchute does, posting some of the better ones here is beneficial in seeing them more fully.

Here I present to you the first exhibit of the day’s grotesqueries a la Ukraine.

First we have an alcoholic Ukrainian man who conveys his genocidal hatred of Russians in a quite unequivocal screed over a videochat app. Followed by a man who claims to be a Ukrainian military surgeon, who proudly specializes in butchering wounded Russian POWs to sell their organs, in his own words.

The next is a woman from Kharkov who says the city’s morgues are so overflowed with AFU dead that the coroners are desperately seeking to pay people to offload some of the cadavers to their homes for a negotiated period of time.

Interesting how we don’t hear of any such tales from the Russian side, yet we’re to believe that Russian losses are over 10x higher than the AFU (yes, according to Ukraine’s “official” accounting, they have only 15-17k KIA while the Russian side has suffered 200-300k dead). Videos like this from the Ukrainian side are a dime a dozen.

The last video is a newly confirmed, baby-faced American mercenary liquidated on April 7th in Bakhmut, reportedly by a shrapnel wound to his head. He makes the reason for his coming to Ukraine very plain in the video; another ‘safari’ seeker hoping to regale friends back home with stories of the orcs he valiantly slayed.

From Rybar:

🇺🇸🇺🇦💀 Another American mercenary destroyed in Bakhmut

Yesterday it became known about the liquidation by Russian troops of another American mercenary of the "International Legion" by the name of Edward Walton Wilton (https://m.facebook.com/edward.wilton.16)

▪️ The Florida American was 22 years old and had previously served in the US Army.

▪️ On April 10, 2022, he went to Ukraine, where he signed a contract with the International Legion.

▪️ In the ranks of the legion, the mercenary managed to take part in hostilities in the Kharkiv region and in the Donbass.

▪️ Wilton was an ideological Russophobe - in his social networks, he promised (https://t.me/TrackAMerc/4954) to " kill Russian pigs ."

▪️ Fate was merciful to the American for almost a year, until he was eliminated in Bakhmut on April 7th.

▪️ The US State Department has already confirmed the death of two US citizens. According to (https://www.thedailybeast.com/two-american-citizens-killed-in-russias-war-on-ukraine) The Daily Beast journalists, one of them is Edward Wilton, and the second is instructor Grady Kurpasi, (https://t.me/rybar/34052) who was considered missing since June 2022.

According to official figures, 15 mercenaries from the United States have disappeared along with Wilton and Kurpasi since the start of the SMO in Ukraine.

A CNN article on baby-faced Wilton has the following quote:

I want everyone to know that my brother chose to go fight for democracy, freedom and righteousness versus evil. My brother laid down his 22-year-old life in the namesake for the future of Ukraine and all his children. We will miss him dearly. We cannot wait to see him again.”

Really?

The second mercenary mentioned was a U.S. Marine Platoon Commander and Company XO, Grady Kurpasi. He died last year but apparently it was only now confirmed, and his body returned to the U.S.

A soppy Medium article praising him accuses Russia of his murder in such a tone as to suggest that it was Russia who went over to his home and killed him, rather than the reverse.

Russia killed Grady Kurpasi in Ukraine. This wasn’t yesterday or a week ago; they killed him a year ago, in April 2022. In the year since, his family and friends have not had a clear answer of what happened to him. He was officially missing in action.

Grisly though the above videos are, I found it important to put them up for the collective record, and document the types of barbarity we see for posterity.
