Send in thousands of armoured vehicles? If these are indeed only "probing attacks", it'll only take a few more of them before they have no forces to follow up these "probing attacks" with.

Very possibly - though I am not sure we have as yet seen large forces committed. Mind you, with c 20 to30 tanks per brigade they will soon run out.
