The troops of Russia’s Group of Forces North have dashed the AFU’s hopes, plus that of OTAN mercs, for a splashy media win *before* the big Ukraine Defense Contact Group’s meeting on 9 January @ Ramstein.
Zelya, whom Lex called charming and charismatic in a 3-hour podcast, which played more like a fawning tongue bath, no doubt was bummed to learn that DJT’s Special Envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, had postponed his trip to Kiev until some time later, vaguely after DJT’s inauguration.
By launching Kursk 2, the charming and charismatic Zelya had hoped to showcase AFU spunk in order to impress General Kellogg and the president-elect: Ukraine’s fighting spirit on full display. Maybe it would persuade them to offer a path to OTAN membership—? Kursk 2 was a slapdash follow-up to Kursk 1—by popular demand because Kursk 1 was such a stunning success. /sarc. Kursk 1’s precedent, its prequel if you will, had been !Krynky!—a bog-based martyrdom of young men in a floodplain gumbo chunked out by FAB 500 glide bombs. Charming and charismatic though he was, Zelya seemed not to grasp that Kursk 2 would feed his men right into the gnarl of wide-open bear claws: a Russian military on its *own* turf—dug in, well-equipped, expecting the attack and just lying in wait.
Imagine the charming and charismatic Zelya now having to devise a *new* trick for General Kellogg.
Can’t be Kursk 3. Maybe taking the Zaporzhzhia nuclear power plant hostage—?
Meanwhile the bit-players of Kursk 2 are getting mauled in Moloya Lochnia but no one thinks about them anymore. Out-of-sight-out-of-mind cannon fodder is so yesterday.
Imagine losing your life in a desolate forest for a temporary PR stunt to impress an American president.
....'an American president' who thinks you are eejits with an overblown sense of entitlement that bores him rigid. Armed with Musk's clear sight, he feels the same way about all that flattery you have been ladling out. Enough dollars have been wasted on this stupid local war that was always going to be lost. Biden might have been addled enough, vain enough and compromised enough to get stuck in. He is not. He has other fish to fry. It suits the US now to stabilise Europe with Russia (whom it respects for the force it really is and the wealth it really has) holding a stable OLD boundary.
Lex and Zelya are the example of the perfect couple of these times. I would like to see the wedding with Zelya in high heels, and Lex looking at her with a more gobsmacked face than usual ..
"Imagine losing your life in a desolate forest for a temporary PR stunt to impress an American president."
Poignantly spot-on; with universal and historical relevance. One can only hope there will be a serious backlash against the West for urging a people to commit suicide on behalf of billionaire ghouls and corporations thousand of miles away, up in the clouds, living in luxury, not a hair laid on their head.
WHAT ABOUT TRANSNISTRA? Seems to be a problem there you are not covering, and the problem has been there for a while now. I'd like to see them use put a stake in the fossil fuel industry and use Tesla Free Energy (which I know they have), and that would do in the dollar.
Even if such "free energy" technology existed and could be implemented? In what world is the Russian Federation going to turn it loose and so destroy the value of their largest single export- Hydrocarbon based energy.
Why save Transnistria with free energy? It's inevitable and far cheaper and it is available. They are not allowed to be sold "because of the currency, (the government). The value of the dollar is based on the petro-dollar. Replace oil and we have no dollar hegemony.
Actually, taking energy out of thin air is common. A crystal radio does not need a battery, and you can hear each station individually. What if you got a "crystal" (they use diodes now) that could take on all stations all at once. A light emitting diode generates electricity in sunlight even though they are best known for emitting light when energized. That isn't even touching zero point energy. Problem is, all the inventers who try to monetarize it die suddenly. The Keshe Foundation actually tried to sell them, but were not permitted by the government. This is a really good video on the subject.
Since you are well acquainted with the physics and technologies of harvesting "free" electrical energy, could you please publish construction details & schematics of the free energy installation you have no doubt implemented at your own house/business?
Did you watch the video or just trolling? Search "zero point energy" on Youtube or Google for yourself. There are patents and working units have been made.
It exists, but no major player will ever allow that genie out of the bottle. Energy is the end all be all of existence here. Its both power and freedom that can never be given to the common folk.
It isn't relevant to anything. It will be settled with the end of the Ukraine war. As far as the people go...war sucks. They have to deal with it as best they can. The idea that Russia has to solve every problem all at the same time or they are losing is preposterous
I dont think it will hold out that long. Once people start starving and freezing, Russia will have a very , very difficult choice. What will it do attack ? Isnt that what the US is just itching for ?
Great comment CS! I believe Trump will be a lot less friendly toward Zelenscream than people expect. I believe he will be a lot more amiable toward Putin than people expect. Time will tell.
I believe that the annihilation of UKR troops is a deliberate strategy by Kiev to get rid of undesireable male populations, ethnic nationalities in Ukraine, destroy other city-based power centers, and eliminate other poles of power within the armed forces, such as the Navy. Yes, it is theatre and narrative management, but it is also a weak king sending rooks and knights to die so that they can never threaten the throne. And in the end, to stay in power and manage the ‘rebuilding’ of rump state Ukraine when the spoils of a dismembered nation will be redistributed and $Trillions in funds will be ‘managed’.
One may hope that when the front line troops finally mutiny/take out their "blocking units" & just walk away/surrender en masse or however the end may come that the Ukrainian politicians and oligarchs will get to experience what they have been dishing out to others. But they'll probably mostly end up in various Florida, London, Côte d'Azur & etc. mansions with their loot if history is any predictor. Next door properties to Hamid Karzai, Imelda Marcos & some older South Vietnamese generals? Think of the parties they would throw.
I seldom encounter such witty repartee, not being the kind of person invited to soirees, but it is reassuring to know there are people out there who see through the BS. Entering into the spirit of expose, may I also add that the entire Japanese Government post-WWII Government was made up of Generals listed for execution for war crimes. They were hustled through a door, into a nearby enclosure, and while shots were being fired ostentatiously in the military execution yard, they were flown to Japan by good ol' boy, McArthur. I hope my contribution gets me invited to future literary soirees. Please. I never get invited anywhere.
I don't know... what does the West care about reality. Zelensky says Kursk 2 wiped out a whole battalion of North Koreans and that the Kursk offensive is a massive success. Forcing Russia in desperation to beg North Koreans for troops. Any defeat can be spun as a victory.
MPO I see a parallel between Israel’s expansion into the greater Zion, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria whatever it may cost also Iran is on the map, and Trump big big wet dream, MAGA or is it the world’s only currency cannot be other than the dollar, from Panama up to Greenland, Canada just a walk over, and the EU diving deep into their own pockets to level up from 2 to 5% for their own military budget. Expanded Zion and greater MAGA getting married in the end.
Ziondom will have to fight the neo-Ottomans for their dream empire. It's highly possible that Russia and Iran sacrificed Syria to let Turkey deal with Israel.
Yeah Rashmi the whole thing came across preordained. Assad was too civil to do what will be done. Ouch time. As for the rest.
Well some little voice told me not to become a Canadian. Not to worry as an honorably discharged USN vet I'm quite certain my life is not worth a plug nickel.
So no illusions of grandeur. Would be reassuring to hear the UN make a comment about the US just taking what it wants. Yeah gonna hold my breath.
Kinda didn't think that after the US blew the Nordstream pipeline, Canada would be in the crosshairs so quickly. I thought they banned slavery.
Gosh and we aren't even on the list to join BRICS. Somehow seeing all those Palestinians tie wrapped and blindfolded twigged a deep sense of foreboding, uh oh here we go!
Indeed, but US literally controls Lebanon and Gaza is under siege and yet, Israel has been fighting and losing against them for more than an year despite all the destruction. Turks can arm their militias much more easily if they want to.
they do one thing tho, provide an alternative market and soon enough an alternative clearance house.
this if those points of pressure you mentioned are economy related; on the other hand, if you thought about pkk idk but i think that after gaza kurds are gonna have a nasty surprise with erdogan.
i think the west misunderstands the situation; there is nothing but hate and disgust for them in the eastern europe, this fanciful idea that they own erdogan is stupid.
Netanyahu and Erdogan really do deserve each other.
But way too many ordinary people are going to get dead over their butting heads.
The pair of them really should be locked in a basement somewhere with a couple of baseball bats and the rest of us get on without them. Then, after the noise of combat stops coming out of their basement, we could knock down the building and build a peace park over the site.
Why stop at Canada, make on offer for Australia and NZ, both have the same status with Britain as Canada, colonies with constitutions and a crown on top.
It's not up to you, nor any pleb. It looks like the splits within the US oligarchy are shifting to a garrison state; pulling all the vassals into whatever political formation suits a rules based order.
WRONG! New Zealand is already a resource colony of China. As long as the forestry, meat, and dairy products keep flowing to the Middle Kingdom, all will be well.
Australia is already occupied and totally ready to jump for trump. There have been several us spy bases (with minimal domestic oversight) for 50 years, an airforce base near Darwin (used as a staging post for strikes on Yemen) with b2's and a large 'rolling contingent' of us soldiers.
Australia has bought into the f35 fiasco and soon to be active sub bases (for which it has paid the us $368 billion and provided the infrastructure. It is supposed to be getting a couple of us nuclear subs some time in the next 15 years).
Australia's rare earth deposits have been declared critical by the us.
The saturation by us media and capitalist/exceptionalist ideology is near total.
Aussie here. Been worried about that myself. I think we have a bit more leverage insofar as China, not the US, is our biggest trading partner. Even so, the political elite is utterly captured already.
Also, the Canadian federation is very weak. Maybe the Western provinces could join the US, but they’d lose Quebec and the maritime provinces I reckon (American annexation would provoke a month-long general strike in Quebec at minimum, with everything snowballing from there).
Yup takes an Aussie to say BS like that. Let me guess you ski bummed a few years at Whistler on a "student visa"🙄? Uh no the federation is not weak at all. Heard about the Trucker Convoy? Heard us come together throwing rocks at Trudeaus Campaign bus or screaming at him both in Montreal and Toronto to F**K off? You have no clue what you are talking about.
Hi Carol, je suis désolé, je ne voulais pas t'offenser. I’m sorry you took offence. I did not mean Canadians were weak, I meant that the centralising tendencies in Canada were weak. That is the Federal Government in Ottawa is weak.
You can correct me if I’m wrong but your examples seem to me to support my contention.
I’ve never been to Whistler, but you are correct that I was a student in Canada in Montréal.
I always take offence at incorrect assumptions. SOOO cool you speak some basic French 🙄 very erudite of you . BTW unless you work for the federal govt or live in Quebec French is not used. Yup nailed it-- a student in Montreal--figures. Ooooo you meant "centralizing tendencies" 🤣🤣 and a poly sci "student " too.
🤷♀️Don't know why you haven"t given any real receipts re" your theory(sic) of centralizing tendencies. You came out with the great theory but haven't given any evidence. How can I rebut nothing? Love the insults-- hilarious 🤣. If you only knew Mr Phrygian 🤣
Regarding China being the greater trade partner, what do you think will happen when the US applies sanctions to China and forces its allies to comply.
Even worse, what happens when the US demands its allues to impose sanctions but the US itself continues trading (see the EU vs Russia fiasco).
Oz economy is stuffed. I saw the forecast, and left Oz right after C19 since it’s economy will implode to that of a colony. Ask other colonies how they fair.
Yeah, it’s a real risk. In 2022 we saw the US ask EU countries to cut their d***s off—and they did it!
Apologies for the crude language, but you know, some EU countries literally handed over all of their artillery to the Ukraine, Germany deindustrialised, I would never have believed it possible, but it happened.
Then Albo agreed an astronomical sum for subs that we all know will never arrive (we will quietly get some French or Japanese subs after all, but don’t expect a refund from the US MIL, subs weren’t really what the money was for).
Even so, I think Australia will remain “the Lucky Country” for a little while longer. We’re sitting on loads of coal, loads of uranium, loads of iron ore, some natural gas and the “tyranny of distance”. Plus, even though immigration is becoming a problem, source countries skew towards East Asia rather than MENAPT like Europe.
Most of europe does more trade with China than the US. Didn't make any difference, when Master snaps his fingers, european knees resolutely hit the floor.
Well the Americans have the same plan for Australia and NZ as they have for Ukraine. Create a war and let the Australians and Kiwis die so Americans do not have to, in a bid to weaken China. If the idiot Australians and Kiwis fall for it they have no-one to blame but themselves just like Ukraine.
The American people don't give a hoot about Ukraine, NATO and the British Financial Aristocracy.
We give a hoot about our economy, outsourcing, the uncontrolled flow of illegal aliens, Woke Politics, the Forever Wars amd our 401K accounts, interest rates and so on.
If Trump decides to walk away from Ukraine... well, hell, THAT's why we voted for him.
Walk away from the Forever Wars. Buy out Canada and Greenland... Sounds great to us.
Buy them?! You don't have such money. Nobody has. It's about conquering them by imposing nasty things. It's a stealing in a gangster style. And nobody is more fit for that than the zionist Trump supported by the khazar mafia.
But you tariff yourself. You got lots of crude from Canada, so tariff that and your gasoline price jumps at the pump. Same with the cars that most have components made in Canada (were workforce is cheaper because there is no to little cost for employers for health insurance).
The US already ignores international law using the undefinable NEW World Order. What about Serbia? Trump is just laying the groundwork a shrinking Empire with the resources it needs. I recently saw a map of Europe in 1815 after Napoleon was defeated. This area is where continental wars have been fought for a thousand years. Will Europe end up destroying itself like the middle eastern civilizations that vanished before Alexander the Great discovered their ruins.
As I suspected, American jingoism is well and even thriving. Are you going to put the Canadians in reservations? Kill us because we promote and have public health insurance?
How you guys even imagine this will happen? Congres votes yes to war with Canada because Canadians rebuff Trump and US just needs Canada for... strategic reasons? When was Canada a threat to the US? Never? While the opposite was always the case.
I believe that Canada did not exist as a nation in 1812 when Washington was 'burned to the ground'. US tried to invade Canada - which was an attack on Britain, because Canada was British territory at the time - expecting the people living in the colony to welcome them, and anticipating that British military was occupied by Napoleon. It did not work out well for US, and in the end, no territory changed hands. Lives were sacrificed for the benefit of the wealthy, which is the usual case in a war.
Americans think that Canadians are basically the same as them, except with 'commie' tendencies because we love us our universal healthcare and other socialist programs. A few more decades of Hollywood propaganda and the American owned and operated media - including 'social media', and they will be right, and Canada could just fall into their lap with merely a slight nudge. Trump is working against himself with his bluster and boasts - he puts Canadian backs up, and guarantees resistance!
I believe that you are right that obviously the first logical reaction to Trump words is the resistance of Canadian people (and Greenland people) but I also believe that, aligned with this last article of Simplicius, Trump style is outlandish, eccentric... but I believe that he is truly SETTING THE COURSE for the future... Geographically, economically, militarily... Canada is to the US like Ukraine is to Russia... And who could predict the absolute betrayal of European submissive politicians to the European people interests before Ukraine war? Or that the world people was going to just watch paralysed the apartheid, occupation and genocide of the zionists criminals in Palestine? It looks surreal but it is real... Brace for impact!
I love when "we the people" of any NATO country think they have any decision making power within their Govt., especially Canada and Australia, maybe NZ also. Do y'all forget the Wuhan Flu? Your Govt.'s came out with the most tyrannical lock downs and mandates and we all watched the citizens obey, hell we even watched you turn on your neighbor, but now you convince yourselves you will stand together??? Comical
IF you look at the US "successes" diplomatically and in regime changes, Iran, Vietnam and Iraq spring to mind, maybe it would be a good idea to have the USA annex Canada. We should own most of the USA in 20 years; Hawaii might be a problem what with the distance and all but we may be able to work things out.
A few minor tweaks, we put King William in as King of Northern America and away we go. Oh and with the reformed government and electoral processes, Puerto Ricans and the other disenfranchised in the other colonies get to vote.
America positioned itself to invade Canada just before WW2. The reason they didn't was the most powerful navy on the planet at that time stopped them. The British navy stopped the US invasion, then WW2 happened & the rest is history. Today America is a helluva lot more powerful than the British military.
That would be fascinating to read more on, if FDR actually was intending something energic with Canada. Do you have links?
Now, the US Army *did* do a series of exploratory war plans of various flavors. That's... actually normal behavior and does not necessarily signal an intent to act on them--unless something weird happens, of course. A good example of this in the present day includes war plans versus a zombie invasion, aliens and etc.
"The Burning of Washington, also known as the Capture of Washington, was a successful British amphibious attack conducted by Rear-Admiral George Cockburn during Admiral Sir John Warren's Chesapeake campaign. It was the only time since the American Revolutionary War that a foreign power had captured and occupied a United States capital. Following the defeat of American forces at the Battle of Bladensburg on August 24, 1814, a British army led by Major-General Robert Ross marched on Washington, D.C. That evening, British soldiers and sailors set fire to multiple public buildings, including the Presidential Mansion, United States Capitol, and Washington Navy Yard.[5]" -wiki
history, economics, vocabulary. you are a real mess aren't you?
Yet it's only the Socialist countries who Russian can really rely on i.e North Korea & China or the numerous Cuban volunteers who are fighting in the SMO. Let me know when the right wingers and libertarians join the party.
You are not using the term "Socialist" on the same wavelength as your interlocutors. They mean something along the lines of a welfare state. You mean communism with a human face.
Socialism is a threat only to the plutocratic elites because it limits their excessive take, redistributing it as social services in healthcare, education, infrastructure, etc. Those are not "entitlements". We live in a society, not a pyramid scheme. In a made up society, the Paretto distribution is not a natural thing, but an artefact.
I would be interested in why you think socialism is a threat to everyone? Of course, you would first have to define what you mean by socialism. In my opinion, socialism is a threat only to the very rich and powerful, as it ensures that the less wealthy and powerful are able to access healthcare, education, leisure time, and various other human needs. This, of course, allows working and middle class people to be less dependent on and thus subservient to the wealthy and powerful.
In fact, Trudeau garnered about a third of the popular vote, so a majority of Canadians did NOT vote for the Liberals (in Canada we vote candidates of a party, and the party with the most seats in parliament forms the government, so saying people voted for Trudeau is technically incorrect) with Trudeau as their leader.
The insanity of the covid era was world wide, but most especially in countries with mainstream media controlled by the very wealthy and government aligned owners.
Many Canadians swallowed the propaganda and fear mongering whole, yet also many questioned and quietly rejected the mandates. I obediently wore my mask while in grocery stores, but quit my teaching job rather than wear one in the classroom. Interestingly, the Healthcare system still pushes shots on us, but very few people are accepting them now.
Dhdh is referring to the giganormous influx of East Indians that have flooded the country and the many pictures of them just dropping their pants and doing their business wherever they feel like.
There are quite a few "East Indians" - assuming you mean immigrants from India and Pakistan - in the area where I live, and even more in Vancouver area where family live, yet I have never once seen anyone of them "dropping their pants and doing their business" on the street. I have seen a few homeless people - usually those who are obviously mentally incapacitated - pee and shit in alleys here, but since the city set up some public toilets it is not very often. Very few of the homeless people I see are distinct ethnic groups, most are European ancestry Canadians.
Nobody really wants Canada since you've handed your immensely stupid nation over to Chinese gangsters, who have taken over Vancouver, and to millions of worthless third world riff-raff, especially the millions of despicable Indians. Keep them.
And if your public health insurance is so great, why do Canadians who can afford it constantly travel to the US for procedures?
Settle down. Trump is like that loudmouth at the corner bar. He will be distracted by some shiny object and do nothing with regard to Canada.
The logistical headaches alone (what do you do with Canadian sovereign or private debt? How would US law start to apply, would Canadian lawyers suddenly be expected to be experts in US law, would Canadian pharmacies be expected to stock medicines labeled according to US standards, etc., etc. and I haven't even gotten to the subject of Quebec) would be boggling.
I think Trump means to pressure Canada's government to give him whatever he is after - and our government will. Most Canadian politicians are happy to bow down to US interests whenever asked. It does not matter what the majority of Canadians want or need, America can bully and bribe its way to whatever outcome its politicians/deep state decide they need from us.
I recall how baby Bush thanked everyone & the kitchen sink (including Papua New Guinea/similar), "forgetting" to thank Canada for help during 9/11. And when Chrétien, then PM, asked him wtf - Bush weaseled out with, 'well, nobody thanks a brother." I hate it when my own brother takes me for granted :-)
I suppose the same can be said of Russia taking over Poland or Romania, etc. Not worth the effort to take over any country. Excluding Ukraine obviously. Although I don't think planned on a complete take over of all Ukraine, at first anyhow.
Trump doesn't want Canada. If he did he'd try to make Canadians think they want to join the US (somehow), or at least make a Canadian present the idea. He just wants Canada to take a less desirable trade position and maybe declare a bit of independence from Asian vassal status.
Hey, I'm Canadian. Yes, people here were stupid enough to vote for a clown like Trudeau, but most of us DO NOT want to be a dumb American. Should it really come to that, I'll pack my bags and go to Russia, if they'll have me.
The demented clown has now got his maga troupe all excited about canada and greenland.
What about all those jobs coming back to the US? What about the borders? what about inflation? what about the city streets? the infrastructure? The UA? What happened to all that BS? Now he's walking you into another fairyland and a lot of you are following him. You just can't make this stuff up.
You ready to take your words back? Because sure enough, in just five days, Trump has done more for all of that than... hm... heck.... he pretty much undid four years of FJB and started back on all of that. On his FIRST day.
When it cannot impose itself with brute force, which for instance is happening now in Russo-Ukrainian war. Other examples abound.
The US is not all powerful and it never was a hegemon. It wants to be. With Trump it seems it would like to entrench itself on the whole North American Continent. It might end up having enemies both North and South...
I know, I live the US. We got crumbling infrastructure; both physical and financial. I just hope Trump got enough brains not to entrench us in Battle Royale with half of the globe for his imperial expansion mania.
What an odd question. Did I even comply that ? If the Mexicans are so well armed and ready to rumble why dont they take out the relatively small cartels ?
There are more guns in the US the there are citizens, not to mention the military. The Mexicans would get slaughtered as well as any "migrants" in the US that dared to threaten Americans. Keep dreaming.
Not quite, many Mexicans subscribe to the notion of "Reconquista" and are flooding into the US disregarding all laws. They are an "invading" force by definition.
You still havent answered my question. Very telling.
His wife, a Madeline Albright understudy, has been at it since the Clinton Admin. Kagan, a Straussian in the Bill Bristol mode, may have been racking up the body count even longer.
From the personal, to the collective…the time in now. That’s where we are, at. NOW. Choices to be made. I am thankful I know myself. More learning of course, or the Great Re~Membering of all those parts of my soul…to call home. Moving forward, towards the seventh decade…remembering to inhale/exhale. This too shall pass. A grand time to be had, for some, the wheel turns. Others, perhaps, not. No wonder I have such fondness for (…..) he be like…kin❤️🐈⬛ Excellent, par usual, buddy, thanks so…much!
Daniel Davis, on the deep dive show on YouTube, interviewed yesterday a British citizen who fights for Russia. He said that what he knows is that Ukraine has more than 1 million dead soldiers. Not dead+wounded, just dead.
I wonder if Putin knows that no matter what, Russia will be engaged in a " forever war" to protect its sovereignty, and that Russia might as well take its time with a slow war of attrition to help
maintain its defensive posture. It doesn't want to "win" the war. It just doesn't want to lose. Russia can never relax. The US and NATO are too treacherous.
Putin announced at the beginning of SMO that we're entering a decade of chaos. I guess he knew very well, and still knows, what he was doing and the strategy is deliberate.
The US has convinced most of Europe to send their weapons on the promise we send them more. Thing is we have not sent them shit, so indirectly we have helped Russia demilitarize Ukraine and any possible threat to them other then China. In a hypothetical situation where the US and Russia work together we could control the top of the world.
The US is an unreliable partner because there is no US that is independent of Jewish interests, which are always self-defeating. The US is a neurotic compared to the solidity of Russia.
I think you may be putting the cart before the horse. The Zionists are the USA attack dog, not the other way around. US will drop Israel and the Zionist lobby in a heart-beat if they no longer serve its purpose.
Oh, the intention was to send them replacements. . .not for free, of course, let the Euros pay an arm and a leg to the MIC. Follow that scheme? The EU vassals donate their military materiel to Ukraine for free, and then pay the US to have it replaced. But, unfortunately for these brilliant plans, it turned out that the MIC is simply incapable of manufacturing these replacements in significant quantities, and incapable of ramping up production in any foreseeable horizon.
Now they are thinking of ways to make the Europeans pay without getting any equipment for it :-) That's what Trump's noises about the EU ramping up military spending to 5% of GDP actually mean---so that they have the money to hand over to the American MIC.
Peculiarly, the SMO made explicit the de facto r'ship which was already in place: a full-bore unrelenting assault of the West on Russia and all things Russian. Prior to the SMO, the assault was not directly kinetic, however; it manifested as media campaigns & pay-ops.
The Magnitsky Act of Dec 2012 began really to up the ante. By June 2013 Edward Snowden was halted @ Sheremetyevo, the U.S. having invalidated his passport as he tried to board the Moscow flight to Cuba.
After that, the drip, drip, drip of Russophobia was unceasing.
Having traveled to Saint Petersburg & Moscow for the first time in July 2012, I was struck w/ the overwhelming number of churches & cathedrals. In Moscow, well off the Garden Ring Road, every time I reached a street corner and looked to the left or right I saw yet another cluster of onion domes, announcing the presence of a neighborhood cathedral.
So it was strange when I returned stateside and found above-the-fold news articles everyday in the WaPo and in the nytimes about LBGTQ repressions in Russia--how Russia was not appropriately embracing the neo-liberal world order, at least as the West saw it. The tone was *always* condemnatory, always scolding.
Having spent only a couple weeks there, I understood how conservative & traditional Russia was, even in the enclaves of intelligentsia, which SPB & Moscow certainly are. I wondered if the West had any comprehension of a place, which had been denied its public display of religious expression through so much of the Soviet period, now actively reclaiming that part of its heritage & connecting joyously w/ it.
Of course the West did not comprehend this, of course the West did not care. The West wanted Russia to hurry up and be like the West.
Mrs. Nuland characterized it best, speaking to Mrs. Amanpour last March: "This isn't the Russia we wanted."
When my kids tell me about what they want I tell them "that's just useless information".
I cannot imagine many things more repulsive than adults talking about what they want as if the world should magically rearrange itself to accommodate their retarded impulses.
BTW: the media's stance in 2012 was that "Russia is not a normal country." Navalny picked this up and repeated it ad infinitum, so you know it was a CIA script.
But we're asked to think it *normal* for the likes of Mrs. Nuland et al to vilify Russia and goad it into adopting a liberalism which is not at all consonant w/ its culture.
This is exactly why our Israeli masters want the US to be at odds with Russia. If Russia and the USA were to ally and promote our Christian roots, that would not bode well for the State of Israhell... Chip
Actually, E. Michael Jones has made the excellent point that the Calvinist Puritan teachings were more based on (1) Milton's "Paradise Lost", and on the Old Testament. The New Testament was always an afterthought for the Puritans. Think about that for a second. Unsurprisingly, the Puritans were also first-class Judaizers.
And don’t forget China. Not exactly who you’d want to have your back with all those millions of square miles of empty but mineral rich land right next door.
Historically the Chinese have not fought wars of conquest except when they were under Mongol rulers. It is a culture that regards scholars much more highly than warriors. I had much rather have China at my back than USA!
People (and countries) who are being threatened tend to "flex their muscles" - ie; prepare to defend themselves. That does not mean they are inherently aggressive.
I hope that the correct people are being groomed in Russia, so that whoever comes after Putin, is in a strong enough position, to continue to do what's in the interest of the Russian population.
So eager are neocons to wash their hands of the debacle in Ukraine, Kagan et al are prematurely & noisily laying the shame & blame for Ukraine’s capitulation @ DJT’s feet, even though the president-elect has not taken office yet.
The foreign ministers of Germany, France and the Netherlands are planning a trip to D.C. as soon after 20 January as possible: a show of force & solidarity for DJT. Kaija Kallas is coming along, in order to represent the EU’s military interests.
They are nervous & unnerved, unable to comprehend a basic calculus of Project Ukraine: When your war-mongering buddies from across the pond *lost* the U.S. election, your *war* lost too.
Oh , I'm so keen on to waiting to see Kaja Kallas and DJT meeeting ! Although as i seen DJT has a special practice to handlind the not to sharp minded ladys , as he did with Kamala Harris ! :)
I was just about to say, they'll blame it all on Trump, even though decisive Russian victory has been a foregone conclusion for the past few years now.
That cuddly middle-aged man is the neocon dark lord? Deceptive appearances indeed. Funny how he says Trump is facing defeat, when it was Biden's war all along.
Welcome to another decade of even more uninhibited and shameless chaos, I guess.
Lex always comes across as a mortician. The black suits and ties with a white shirt, the slow monotonous tone, the haircut.
He's a powerful soporific for us insomniacs.
Soft touch Dracula :-)
That video and accompanying text was a MOBIUS LOOP OF TAUTOLOGY!
Don't EVER FUCKING do that again.
He is an asset. Nobody so boring and uncharismatic rises to millions out of nowhere.
It is called jewish nepotism. The guy is a simpleton.
They get a helping hand from the YouTube algorithm ;)
Zionists are morticians at heart.
....'an American president' who thinks you are eejits with an overblown sense of entitlement that bores him rigid.
Suck it up, euro-clowns.
I like my MAGA xtra-crispy
@cheetosSpring
I prefer to avoid cheap, synthetic additive filled junk food.
muricans are so stupid :)))
and what, pray tell, will happen in a generation?
Lex and Zelya are the example of the perfect couple of these times. I would like to see the wedding with Zelya in high heels, and Lex looking at her with a more gobsmacked face than usual ..
"Imagine losing your life in a desolate forest for a temporary PR stunt to impress an American president."
Poignantly spot-on; with universal and historical relevance. One can only hope there will be a serious backlash against the West for urging a people to commit suicide on behalf of billionaire ghouls and corporations thousand of miles away, up in the clouds, living in luxury, not a hair laid on their head.
Nobody cares what Ukrainians think, any more than a farmer cares whether his sheep want to be slaughtered or not.
WHAT ABOUT TRANSNISTRA? Seems to be a problem there you are not covering, and the problem has been there for a while now. I'd like to see them use put a stake in the fossil fuel industry and use Tesla Free Energy (which I know they have), and that would do in the dollar.
@JimG
This is a really good video on the subject.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLF3PWieN_8
Enjoy.
@JimG
Since you are well acquainted with the physics and technologies of harvesting "free" electrical energy, could you please publish construction details & schematics of the free energy installation you have no doubt implemented at your own house/business?
IKR... as bad as an evil oil tycoon...keeping that free energy for himself
Did you watch the video or just trolling? Search "zero point energy" on Youtube or Google for yourself. There are patents and working units have been made.
@JimG
You, personally, can't implement any such technologies is what I gather. So you are trying to teach me what you have not yet learned? That won't work.
It exists, but no major player will ever allow that genie out of the bottle. Energy is the end all be all of existence here. Its both power and freedom that can never be given to the common folk.
" Seems to be a problem there you are not covering, "
Its too inconvenient to the narrative being spun here.
Amazing post. Thank you.
Impressive observations.
@Oregonian
Yay, it's Simplicius day again!
They are each one side of the same coin - and that coin is part of a desperate, last-chance losing bet.
The United States has many pressure points with regard to Turkey.
Indeed, but US literally controls Lebanon and Gaza is under siege and yet, Israel has been fighting and losing against them for more than an year despite all the destruction. Turks can arm their militias much more easily if they want to.
Sounds like wishful thinking on your part.
how about turkey on brics?
What about it? They don't actually do anything other than act as a glorified dorm room bull session.
they do one thing tho, provide an alternative market and soon enough an alternative clearance house.
this if those points of pressure you mentioned are economy related; on the other hand, if you thought about pkk idk but i think that after gaza kurds are gonna have a nasty surprise with erdogan.
BRICS so far have done none of those things.
Yes, the Kurds have been sold out. Again.
i wonder
it would take a real change in turkish geo-politics.
more difficult to screw your members.
with erdogone that would be highly unlikely.
as someone posted the US owns a lot of him.
i think the west misunderstands the situation; there is nothing but hate and disgust for them in the eastern europe, this fanciful idea that they own erdogan is stupid.
@Rashmi
Netanyahu and Erdogan really do deserve each other.
But way too many ordinary people are going to get dead over their butting heads.
The pair of them really should be locked in a basement somewhere with a couple of baseball bats and the rest of us get on without them. Then, after the noise of combat stops coming out of their basement, we could knock down the building and build a peace park over the site.
unfortunately erdogone is not a trustworthy player.
he seems to be more mouth than muscle.
RU learned that the hard way.
Overheard @ a Vegas gaming table: “I see your DPRK troops in Kursk—and I raise you one: Ukrainian mercs in Venezuela.”
Why stop at Canada, make on offer for Australia and NZ, both have the same status with Britain as Canada, colonies with constitutions and a crown on top.
No, Oz and NZ are hosed up.
We don't want them.
It's not up to you, nor any pleb. It looks like the splits within the US oligarchy are shifting to a garrison state; pulling all the vassals into whatever political formation suits a rules based order.
Nobody wants them.
WRONG! New Zealand is already a resource colony of China. As long as the forestry, meat, and dairy products keep flowing to the Middle Kingdom, all will be well.
🙄
Various powers want their resources.
The saturation by us media and capitalist/exceptionalist ideology is near total.
australia still a british prison colony.
Busted
I always take offence at incorrect assumptions. SOOO cool you speak some basic French 🙄 very erudite of you . BTW unless you work for the federal govt or live in Quebec French is not used. Yup nailed it-- a student in Montreal--figures. Ooooo you meant "centralizing tendencies" 🤣🤣 and a poly sci "student " too.
I don’t know why you feel compelled to be so obnoxious. It’s not look you’re added anything to this discussion. You haven’t rebutted any of my points.
Let me guess—you’re just a neurotic social-media addict who’s alienated all her family because she can’t put away the damned phone?
You have spent way too much time sucking the Trump juice.
CN has got the Aussies by the _______
The only thing, as i recall, the aussies have is iron.
And there is news that CN has figured out a way to use less quality FE.
Didn't the current PM go crawling on his knees to CN recently?
Most of europe does more trade with China than the US. Didn't make any difference, when Master snaps his fingers, european knees resolutely hit the floor.
Already fully owned subsidiaries. You don't buy from yourself.
Annexing Canada is similarly more an imperial accounting fiction than any kind of expansion.
Like all actions of the empire it would shift the balance of who profits and who loses, but it doesn't change the empires borders in the slightest.
You’re right and Aussies would sleepwalk right into that disaster if it happened tomorrow. But events in Europe and the Middle East might overtake us.
Nice thought, but you know that AUS/NZ armed forces combined (ALL of them, Navy, Army, Air) add up to less than the U.S. Marines??
WE aren't standing up to *anyone* in any fight.
The US just wants us to pour cash into the maw of the MIC, for as long as we can.
"The US just wants us to pour cash into the maw of the MIC, for as long as we can."
When one acknowledges this "inconvenient truth" it summarizes what makes the western world go 'round and 'round. AKA:
mo' money...mo' money...mo' money...
Don't you mean a clown on top?
all these "western" contries are already colonies of the jew.
Wrong hemisphere.
Vance is correct.
The characterisation of tariffs as nasty things is ... not flattering to your developmental level.
But you tariff yourself. You got lots of crude from Canada, so tariff that and your gasoline price jumps at the pump. Same with the cars that most have components made in Canada (were workforce is cheaper because there is no to little cost for employers for health insurance).
No tariffs are not nasty things. Wait till you're paying more of them. Take a break from posting BS and go back to Econ 101.
Go fuck yourself, robert.
your vocabulary is at the same level as your knowledge of economics. lmao
34 likes for AlexD’s statement. Zilch for you. Telling, isn’t it.
Hilarious! if you wanted to stop illegal aliens you should have started 300 years ago!
The Canadians burned Washington to the ground.
Just saying.
At least the Hollywood seems to be on fire right now. Literally.
Comical
The Wuhan Flu was in reality a US created bioweapon that the CIA used on China and Iran that had unintended consequences. Do the research.
Totally agree. If Trump keeps up this stupid rhetoric, people will turn to Trudeau again as a protest vote.
ROFLOL - it would have to be a military invasion for that outcome, can Trump be persuaded?
Probably depends on the available on Timmie's menu and the supply of Timbits but we cat hope.
"Canada became a nation on July 1, 1867, when it was established as a federal dominion through the British North America Act, uniting four provinces."
Possibly.
but i'm not an asshole, so ...
how would you know?
For one thing, I don#t waste my time stalking people who disagree with me.
Go fuck yourself, robert
Socialism is a threat to everyone. You voted for Trudeau and the insanity of the covid era, now face the consequences.
I would take swedish socialism over pajeet and jew capitalisim any day. the issue is race.
@Kouros
(Quote)
"We live in a society, not a pyramid scheme."
Speak for yourself, US looks a bit like Amway to me-
When the lack of justice is pervasive (like in a pyramid scheme as the US), ultimately blood will flow. The tree of liberty and such....
Interestingly, the Healthcare system still pushes shots on us, but very few people are accepting them now.
vance wants canada because there are more street shitters there that are his extended family.
Aren't there Americans shittong in streets in America? You have do many homeless people - there will be street shitting 🤣
Dhdh is referring to the giganormous influx of East Indians that have flooded the country and the many pictures of them just dropping their pants and doing their business wherever they feel like.
Who on earth are East Indians??
Which doesn't invalidate my point.
Remember - when you point a finger, there's 3 pointing back at you.
Israel and Africa look at each other..."did he say take over?"...and burst out laughing
No need to pressure, just snap his fingers and Canadian knees hit the floor with a resounding thud.
I recall how baby Bush thanked everyone & the kitchen sink (including Papua New Guinea/similar), "forgetting" to thank Canada for help during 9/11. And when Chrétien, then PM, asked him wtf - Bush weaseled out with, 'well, nobody thanks a brother." I hate it when my own brother takes me for granted :-)
well said
I suppose the same can be said of Russia taking over Poland or Romania, etc.
He has no enticements to make to Canadians, this is why he is using threats.
Canada vassal to China? You must be smoking something there.
Smoking something? No.
But I am eating real bacon right now...crispy.
Trump is just trolling the Trudeau party. It would be nice to not need a passport again to travel Canada
Why travel to Canada only? Not much different to see here in terms of landscape? You still need a passport for everything else...
Before we turn more NON-Americans into Americans I just want to say "Pick your own damn cotton!"
we care about infinite street shitters like weirdo vance's wife being imported here
GOP = Gorillions of Pajeets
Vance is correct, but nobody of influence and authority cares what the people want.
Hey, I'm Canadian. Yes, people here were stupid enough to vote for a clown like Trudeau, but most of us DO NOT want to be a dumb American. Should it really come to that, I'll pack my bags and go to Russia, if they'll have me.
This is really funny
The demented clown has now got his maga troupe all excited about canada and greenland.
What about all those jobs coming back to the US? What about the borders? what about inflation? what about the city streets? the infrastructure? The UA? What happened to all that BS? Now he's walking you into another fairyland and a lot of you are following him. You just can't make this stuff up.
OK, so now it's 1/24.
You ready to take your words back? Because sure enough, in just five days, Trump has done more for all of that than... hm... heck.... he pretty much undid four years of FJB and started back on all of that. On his FIRST day.
Well stated, although am not keen on the 51st and 52nd States.
Better to keep them as colonies or vassals.
Very true and sources are reliable, thanks
So now the US (to paraphrase Israel) will be from Panama to Greenland? :-)
from the canal to the glacier, the U.S. will replace her
I am not sure if 130 million Mexicans, armed to the teeth, can be easily subdued, especially since most of the US military is deployed overseas...
Since when the US is concerned about what another nation wants?
When it cannot impose itself with brute force, which for instance is happening now in Russo-Ukrainian war. Other examples abound.
The US is not all powerful and it never was a hegemon. It wants to be. With Trump it seems it would like to entrench itself on the whole North American Continent. It might end up having enemies both North and South...
I know, I live the US. We got crumbling infrastructure; both physical and financial. I just hope Trump got enough brains not to entrench us in Battle Royale with half of the globe for his imperial expansion mania.
Yet those "armed Mexicans" cant do much against the cartels. Hows that work ?
You think the cartels will side with the gringos?
What an odd question. Did I even comply that ? If the Mexicans are so well armed and ready to rumble why dont they take out the relatively small cartels ?
There are more guns in the US the there are citizens, not to mention the military. The Mexicans would get slaughtered as well as any "migrants" in the US that dared to threaten Americans. Keep dreaming.
You think the US Militias would risk their hides to go to Mexico...?
remember, it is the US that threatens Mexico, not the other way around...
Not quite, many Mexicans subscribe to the notion of "Reconquista" and are flooding into the US disregarding all laws. They are an "invading" force by definition.
You still havent answered my question. Very telling.
Kagan is rocking the Fat Bastard look a la an Austin Powers movie: “I haven’t seen my Willy in 2 years.”
I imagine he has trouble wiping his arse as well,
There's an app for that
Nuland?
It has no need to wipe it's arse as the shit pours from it's piehole.
He has people for that,,,
Cheetos...enjoy an up-vote...The Austin Powers franchise is the funniest, most absurd thing ever put on film.
How nauseatingly revolting is it to see this fat f...k and his wife who could 'eat no lean', in positions that cost thousands of lives.🤮
For the love of the Father/Mother(land)💙🇷🇺❤️ Side note…finally finishing my Genealogy…so interesting the family I shared this spin with is half imperialists and the other half peasants.
All on Boris Johnson, City of London and MI6s heads.
The American division is the head. The main juice headquarters is now in the USA, Jew York.
Uh dead wrong. Read your history a little closer. McKinder, Balfour agreement-- not done by the US. Not managed by the US.
You're number one, yet you don't want to deal with the whole package that entails.
Understandable, but futile.
I'm not-- the UK is first and the US is close behind. But this debacle is UK born and Bred " Dear Lord Rothschild". Canada isnt even in the top 10
Nor Sykes-Picot.
Darf man das Interview mit Herrn Baab auch in Deutschland sehen, order gehoert es zu den 'extrem rechten' Aufzeichnungen?
vielleicht in Deutschland verboten
klär mich auf, wieso sollte seine analyse unter extrem rechts eingestuft sein?
"and lord knows Kagan loves his just desserts…" love it!!!
What a fat piece of monkey spunk that turd is. Him and Vicky are quite a pair... Chip
I never knew he looked like that. Who Ate All the Pies ? as we Brits are occasionally wont to say. Now I think we know, without a doubt.
The main problem with your "hypothetical situation" is that US is incapable of working together with any other country....and Russia knows it.
I wonder if this will strengthen and speed up BRICS expansion or lead to its dissolution?
The chutzpah is strong in this hegemon.
Way to reflect their experience back to them, dad!
Just another stalker, eh?
Your comment is an excellent summary of the situation. Thank you!
This is exactly why our Israeli masters want the US to be at odds with Russia. If Russia and the USA were to ally and promote our Christian roots, that would not bode well for the State of Israhell... Chip
Time to take a holy plunge in the Arctic waters @ the top of the world
I see high-speed rail connecting Russia's Uelen to Nome's Seward Peninsula @ the 66th Parallel
USA does not have Christian roots, it has Calvinist Puritan roots, which are pretty much NOT based on Jesus teachings, but more on Paul's.
And it's time to gaslight the Chinese again.
Historically the Chinese have not fought wars of conquest except when they were under Mongol rulers. It is a culture that regards scholars much more highly than warriors. I had much rather have China at my back than USA!
I’d certainly agree with that. But times change and China has been flexing its muscles a lot recently.
They are nervous & unnerved, unable to comprehend a basic calculus of Project Ukraine: When your war-mongering buddies from across the pond *lost* the U.S. election, your *war* lost too.
well said!!
Him and his wife have transformed into human hippos.
Correction: ashkeNAZI sub-human hippos.
Remember how these Euro-weenies treated Trump in his first term? They giggled and whispered like high school girls when he was in the same room.
Now, they need to kiss his ring.
I don't like punching down, but some people need it.
Some of them should be tried for treason especially the Vindman brothers.
That cuddly middle-aged man is the neocon dark lord? Deceptive appearances indeed. Funny how he says Trump is facing defeat, when it was Biden's war all along.
Welcome to another decade of even more uninhibited and shameless chaos, I guess.
