The problem for Ukraine is that to them, this is a civil war, between the western and eastern sides, with outside help. Basically making them pawns in a larger geostrategic battle. If Ukraine was an actual nation, with a cohesive history and not just random parts of previous empires, their better option would have been to follow Turkey's example and play the two sides off each other, being a bridge, rather than a battleground.

As it is, when the West said they wanted to make it another Afghanistan, anyone with a few brain cells should have looked at how that turned out for Afghanistan.

Stupid is, as stupid does.

I surmise you are from Western Ukraine?

So much for "Democracy".

If only Prigozhin would be silenced so 5th and 6th columnists like you would stop running their mouths about things they clearly don't understand. Prigozhin has already broken the law at least four times by filming dead Russian soldiers, insulting the Russian Military, and by encouraging desertion at least twice. Prigozhin only continues to walk free because he is protected by the powers that be within Russia, as they like what he's doing for some reason.

The optimist in me hopes that Prigozhin is an op meant to be the controlled opposition who's there to prevent the 5th and 6th columnists from doing anything too stupid, but it's looking to me like he may have his own political agenda in the works.

Just an initial comment after reading the first several paragraphs of cited articles. It's clear these people supposedly analyzing Russia's economy are completely at sea when it comes to knowing how it operates making their commentary hilarious. I'll add one little bit of commentary I made at MoA today that's related to this, "IMO, nothing at this point can improve NATO for its problems are deep-seated and mired within a cult of corruption that must first be ousted before anything meaningful can be done to improve it." Russia lacks that "cult of corruption" and thus fields an extremely competent military.

Further on demographics are again mentioned as they were at MoA today yet again. Here's what I wrote there:

"Once again. Russia experienced three huge apocalypses that decimated its people during the course of the 20th Century--once at the beginning with WW1 and Russian Civil War; again in the middle with WW2; and again at the end during the Neoliberal Rape of Russia from 1990-2000. Without those three calamities, Russia would have a population similar to that of the Outlaw US Empire--330 Million--but it has perhaps 150 Million today. Since he became Russian President, Putin has done all he and the government can to deal with the demographic crisis by providing ever increasing levels of monetary, community and infrastructure support to promote an environment conducive for planning and having families bigger than 2 children. Essentially, Russia offers a bounty to those who have more than two children, while <b>every death</b> of a Russian child is decried.

In my above critique, I note NATO targets civilians deliberately to force political surrender of those it targets, and the same policy is applied in Ukieland--the Ukie attacks on Russian civilians have zero military value, meaning they're done for 100% political purposes and are thus War Crimes--the Genocidal conditions that prompted the SMO to begin with.

Unfortunately, the go-slow to conserve Russian troops creates the ability for Ukie attacks on civilians, which as I pointed out was discussed months ago. Some improvement has been made; but as predicted with the escalation in drone use and their increase in range, the need to push back the FEBA escalates, and you can be sure that's discussed at every Security Council meeting. In several speeches Putin gave last year, he anticipated such tactics by reminding Russians that NATO had already used its Terrorist Foreign Legion against Russia during the Chechen Wars, that Russian security forces would do their best to prevent such tragedies but to anticipate their happening and to thus remain vigilant.

IMO, the pertinent question is: At what point does Russia change its strategy--where's the tipping-point? Many of us can guess what that might be, but none of us knows. Meanwhile, the slow push Westward along the FEBA continues. The effort to eliminate the remnants of Ukie AD I see as preparation for the next move that would involve more CAS beyond a more fluidly moving FEBA, while also shaping the ground for air-to-air combat when F-16s arrive."

Last comment--Readiness!! When I served, Readiness was the #1 #1, top of the list; and if you weren't deemed ready, well you damned sure better get that way pronto! Given what we're seeing, the state of readiness for the US Army must be rated very weak whereas the Heritage Foundation's 2023 report found it "Very Strong," https://www.heritage.org/military-strength/assessment-us-military-power/conclusion

And from what we've seen overall, NATO readiness is Very Weak too. Russian readiness, however, looks very good, and I know Russia drills hard on readiness like we once did. You can't accomplish anything with redlined equipment.

I agree with the analysis of a go slow policy and its dangers. Whereas there are valid arguments on both sides of this issue, the prolonging of the war allows the "escalation frog" to get slowly boiled. The longer this goes on, the more chance there is that the west in some way gets directly involved. And I belive I am correct that in every NATO wargame run pre-2022 on this scenario, this ended up in WW3 and MAD. A quicker prosecution of the war has its dangers too and could create the same result. Nevertheless giving your opponent less time to prepare and react is generally a good policy.

Thanks for your reply. The extreme tightness of the information aspect regarding Russia's plans is excellent but frustrating for those of us trying to analyze. That has led me to not bother trying to keep an accurate battle map depicting the entire FEBA. Other info lacking are details of the nightly Russian missile and drone strikes aside from "all targets hit" and the occasional spectacular video. A comment I made elsewhere dealt with the possibility of Russia using its airmobile assets. The denial of NATO Apaches for Ukies is very telling. Meanwhile the world's moving off the dollar more daily.

NATO has been in the wings from the beginning. Even now there's talk of some underhanded strike. So far the campaign of attrition is in Russia's favour. Let the NATO states implode as their casinos go bankrupt - no financial lube even for the arms industry. As for rapid escalation to nukes - the west has peashooters for ballistic missiles, while Russia is implementing a system to shoot them down. So far it looks like the unhinged in the west are off balance and losing the ability to calculate risk.

In the next year, we will all be having a good chuckle. Humor will abound. I'm chuckling already, even if its a bit premature. When you do the research, when you dig for facts and evidence, it becomes crystal clear. Russia can defeat NATO easily. It chooses not to, because NATO can become even more unhinged then they are today and fire off a nuclear missile or two, which will cause fallout damage.

The Ukraine war is over, strategically. Even Putin said so. Russia will achieve 100% of its objectives. The open question is to what degree will the USA/Europe escalate and be destroyed. I am a proponent of delivering a bone crushing defeat that exterminates the Khazarian bugs running the neocon operation. Yes, that is who they are. 28 well-maintained F-16's won't do much either in the context of the size of Russia's air force.

Add in the fact that airports and hangars where the F-16's will be stored can be bombed.

Basically the F-16 in and of itself offers little to Ukraine. It has to come in the form of an integrated aerial dominance system for Ukraine, which Russia already destroyed.

The F-16 is a propaganda toy with a few future-dead pilots and maintainers attached, much like the Challenger 2, Leopard 2, and other wunderwaffen.

Very good points Lex. Saw a guy tonight making fun of Klaus Schwab. He wasn't joking about KS but just the WEF and all of their ilk being cartoonish figures. I readily admit its probably not them in charge. However they are not too far from the head of the snake. That doesn't mean they are NOT stupid, arrogant, and insane. They have been tasked at implementing the "grand strategy."

As Simplicius mentioned in the Dark Futura blog its really about one thing. At least that was my interpretation of what he met. That one thing is about keeping their place at the top. I don't mean the WEF guys but the mysterious families and the cabal of international bankers. I do not believe any of them can contemplate a world that they don't have a large stake in the matter.

I think its relatively easy to see what has happened at this juncture. Russia was supposed to be in a fetal position economically and begging for Globohomo to let them gather their belongings before abandoning the ship. This would no doubt send Xi to the floor on his knees as well. The American people have been gaslighted so badly I am doubtful anyone could have stopped the grand strategy should this have happened. Note the term "gaslight" it is a mind control technique which involves an "abuser and victim." The overarching goal (consciously or subconsciously) is to screw up the victim's mind so the abuser can lord over them. This has prepared many citizens for their own slavery and/or removal eventually.

This is why WW3 is probably inevitable and I have little hope it will remain conventional for long. Even though those banker bastards could stop and live a good life somewhere I don't believe they will. It really is up to Western Peoples to force their leaders into a state of fear or concern to stop this. There's a few things circulating out there that give me a ray of sunshine.

Government, as executive and regulatory function, is the nervous system of the state, while money and banking are blood and the circulation system. With public government and private banking, the banks rule. So the only real job the flunkies up on stage have is creating the debt the banks need to function.

As government is the decision making function, hollowing it out and leaving the banks in control creates a dynamic with all the strategic aptitude of bacteria racing across a petri dish. Logic isn't allowed to interfere with monetizing everything as some enormous economic Ebola virus.

So either the West has to go back to some form of private government, where the welfare of the state is more important than than the ability of the wealthy and powerful to leverage ever more power, much as Russia and China have essentially done, with Putin and Xi as respective heads of Russia Inc and China Inc, or we move onto banking becoming a public utility as well.

So the banks are having their, "Let them eat cake." moment.

The WEF can be made impotent in a simple way: countries should enact laws whereby political campaign financing can only be provided by constituents who have proven residential and business addresses inside the constituency.

That basically will get rid of dark money funding lots of politicians, and also localizes politics.

If a politician truly cares to represent his / her constituents, it should be those constituents who fund their representatives.

Sorry Joe I don’t mean to be a Negative Nancy but that horse left the barn well over 50 + years ago. It’s pretty well noted that Gen Patton said after the Allies liberated Europe that “we fought for the wrong side” paraphrasing.

What you are talking about indeed did happen btw I suspect. I think John M is correct that Russia and China have essentially tied them (bankers) in a knot. This might explain why we are at such a cliffhanger now. It’s simple, these banker types usually island hop when the going gets tough. This time they are cornered in so much they have hitched their wagons to the US and that is where the devil will make his last stand.

A little alternate history lesson. Sorry I have no proof to offer for my opinion. Doubt at this juncture you could find it if you tried. History has been rewritten by the victors. It’s these same people that have quite a stranglehold on the entire Western media apparatus.

According to some a certain man with a mustache kicked all the high level bankers (mostly central) and upper echelon commies the hell out of his country after rising to power. America wasn’t the only place that suffered during the Great Depression and the inflation of Weimar Republic is legendary. They left and apparently the country turned around within a year or two afterwards. The man with the mustache was placed on the cover of Time Mag and was the “Man of the Year.”

Story goes this both frightened and enraged those who had been exiled. The fear had to have been borne out perhaps the world coming to the conclusion that their leadership might not be necessary. At that time the bankers had tremendous pull with the US, London, Bolshevik run Russia. They blockaded Germany in an attempt to starve them out. And the rest is history as they say.

From a person who tries to think critically it makes a lot more sense to me than big bad mustache and his country woke up one morning and decided to genocide a certain people. Did events like what is described in our history books happen thereafter? I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they did. However it takes two to tango so they say. And NO I would not wanted to live under a Nazi regime. That iron grip fascism would be frightening if that part of it is indeed true.

There have been several countries that experienced hyperinflation since Weimar Germany. In all instances its an imbalance whereby there are too few assets wanting to be purchased by too much currency.

Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Argentina, Turkey, Syria, are among a few of the recent standouts. South Africa is heading in that direction.

The inflation disaster from 2020 onwards across the Western world resulted from the shutdown of country-level economies which resulted in businesses drawing down inventory. At the same time countries printed currency to support the large unemployed population.

Here you can see a classic case of too few assets being chased by too much money. This is resolved over time (2-5 years) as economies are left open and unobstructed by government regulations.

The other issue beyond that is debt service. Why government spending needs to be cut until there's a surplus budget in place (another 5-10 years).

The US and the West don't have to end up in Weimar status. However changes in citizens expectations of what government can and should do needs to be dramatically lowered.

Expand full comment

You sir are right on the money no pun intended. “Too much money chasing too few goods.”

Unfortunately I believe we are at a point now where In order to get people to except lower standards and expectations something very painful must occur. It will most like need to be felt by all. When Marco asked me what we could do I was very long winded with my reply but the short answer is not much I’m afraid.

No this because of my ex gf couple years ago. She loved and trusted me too. In end I couldn’t break thru. It drove me nuts knowing that an extremely smart person like her would fall for such lame dogma from the Communists. It was like a case study and I eventually drove her away. These people (85% best guess) aren’t thinking on our wavelength. Covid is the greatest teacher we have had to see just how snowed under the general population is…..so we wait and pray that whatever happens doesn’t do us all in. In the age of the atom it certainly could. Still I believe the masses are our best hope but turning before shit hits the fan is gonna be a bitch.

Expand full comment

I believe the biggest or most optimistic chance we have are the covid vaccines. RFK Jr loose on the trail will constantly remind people of what has been done to them. I’m not saying the vaccines were part of some grand conspiracy plan to mow down the population. However Big Pharma and Govt forcing it down people’s throats playing off their sympathies for money might be good enough.

These anecdotal cases like Jamie Fox & Hamlin along with RFK Jr might be enough to get the masses to snap. There’s no doubt that there has been a sharp uptick of all cause mortality and disabilities since the rollout. Honestly the vaccines could be completely benign (not likely though) and it wouldn’t make much difference to the person who took them. Especially if the word got out their favorite celebrity and/or athlete got knocked over by it.

My proof lies in the behavior of how TPTB circled the wagons to encompass and control both situations (Fox & Hamlin). Both scenarios they and their media were fully on deck standing at attention. Anytime the media puts up a front best know it’s very important to their masters (Ukraine/Russia). This could be the proverbial straw that finally breaks the camels back and sends the cards crashing down.

Another potential landslide is economic strife. The covid vax scenario I just mentioned could lead to this as well. Have heard it’s very likely a liquidity credit crisis looms large. My thoughts are there’s ONLY ONE thing that terrifies the Central Planners. That would be INFLATION. A credit crisis would most certainly cause plenty of deflation. I suspect this will be the avenue in which they take. Makes sense if you believe inflation is their kryptonite.

A liquidity crisis similar to 2008 plays right into their hands. At least they think it does. It also solves most of their woes. Normally this would be extremely bad for political aspirations but not so sure it’s a concern these days with all of the rigging afoot. Inflation, particularly the kind that kills governments, is mostly a confidence game. This has never been more true than today with the USD. That vast reach of the USD makes real inflation very hard to notice IMO.

However one must take a look at other factors too like the international boycott of the dollar taking hold. This is what I concluded April 2022 must be the reason for the “Rah Rah Ukraine” campaign. In March 2023 my conspiracy theory was confirmed with the barrage of news coming out about de dollarization. This most definitely will cause inflation real and abstract. While a credit crisis would solve many of their problems like a hot labor market it will NOT account for this. Only thing that can stop it is a strong USA and a very week Russia & China. Hence where we are today but with reversed roles. Throw a nasty recession (US/West) in and that really makes for troubled waters in both of our countries.

I am still wrestling with what to do. I bought some modest amounts of metals last year. I also have a small amount of crypto. I was thinking about grabbing some more crypto and moving it off grid (digital wallet). While moving it off the exchanges is always a good idea not sure I want to buy anymore for the time being (probably will not). Ditto for metals. I will hold what I have got for now and most likely sell my paper (Sprott) funds and go to cash. You can find short term 3mo CD’s paying 5%. When the credit crisis hits all assets are going to take a bath. USD will be the preferred reservoir to store money for now I think.

IF I have time after the dust settles from the selloff will immediately try and pick that stuff up on the cheap. Same with a couple solid stocks. Try and make as much as I can than dump it for other assets like Gold/Silver/Crypto. Real estate is only good in civilized times with a system to enforce property rights IMO. We may get to a point where if you can’t protect it you don’t own it.

Anyhow that’s my personal opinion on the matter of how to best survive the coming shitstorm from an individual perspective. We will be lucky to avoid WW3 (NUCLEAR) IMO. If we do somehow avoid the fire and brimstone there will still be much strife. The changing of the guard is never pretty. All of the seeds of discourse that have been sown over the years will probably come to a climax at some point. Keep those with the pitchforks stabbing each other as long as possible.

The important to know is the Central Planner/Old Order has already lost. And there will be hard times ahead for all Westernized Nations. There’s just no way around it; how hard is anyone’s guess. What can we do to stop WW3? The videos shown by Simp are a key. Imagine if there were thousands like the guy telling Trudea & Olaf to screw off. Now imagine a hundred thousand or more. You and I can’t do much aside from these discussions which help both of us become better at explaining to people (in one or two phrases lol) what’s going on. I don’t believe most are ready to hear the full sermon yet. Until they are all we can really do is prepare ourselves, families, and communities for the good times ahead. We will need a seminal moment in order to gin up the masses IMO. Have learned the hard way this breaking of the damn only comes from severe pain. Hurt that is perceived to have come directly from the politicians and their masters.

Apologies for the gloomy outlook. My ray of sunshine is to stop nuclear war or our eventual enslavement. I have been looking for ways to reach the herd for at least 2 years. The best I can come up with is to circle back around after they experience it and educate them as fast as we possibly can. Only the sheer power of the people can stop it. Globohomo knows this too and it plays a big part in all of the societal mind bending we see happening.

First... thank You Sir, for all the time You put answering me.

We think the same, and I think we lived the same experiences. I felt like the fool of the village trying to warn people who laughed at me, but now... well, a few asked what to do.

Vax was a watershed moment, indeed.

About it, I humbly suggest all the people who got them and now are uneasy or scared to test their blood. I saw the blood of a friend, former registered nurse (because she couldn't complete the vax request so she had to leave her work), in a dark field photo and it's scary. I know i'm only a perfect noone, I don't know the cost of that exam, but I think not too much as it's something a normal biology student with a dark field microscope could do. If I can save only one live... I would be happy.

And when one see the mess they made with his own blood maybe that could be his own watershed moment...

Sadly, no more trust on any judges or current politicians, they will not try to make any justice of this... A neighbour died suddenly, nothing to see here. You know the only question the coroner asked the family? Was he vaxxed? So, they know the truth but cannot speak.

I have no financial assets so for me it's easy, but I wish to have half a billion dollars to raid empty of any real silver their lbma so to start a sudden chain reaction on gold... and collapse their fiat paper power.

I know JPM has enough physical silver to backstop but not so sure that Dimon (not an angel himself for sure) would hurry to waste it helping the Hydra/Magneto team...

This before the WW3 starts, because my guts tell me that it's the only way out for them. They need a war to hide the dirt/mess under the rug :(

But at the end, I follow hoping to be just the fool of the village...

Good! It is vital that Russia win, and that NATO and the EU disband. The GAE's boot must be removed from the throat of western europe, and truly sovereign nations must arise from NATO's disbandment.

The empire has corrupted American society, politics, media, etc. and it must be brought down so the republic can live again. Russia and China (and other nations) are vital to ending the empire, and in doing so removing the power of the depraved, disgusting elites that control it.

Wanna know something funny?

Kievan Rus was founded by Oleg of Novgorod who rebuilt Kiev on the site of a previous Khazar stronghold. Kiev was founded by Russians.

Stop repeating propaganda from 1+1 lol - it makes the rest of us Ukrainians look dumb when you do it

what's interesting is the propaganda bait they play for Russia when they show how little money it spends on the Military as a negative and proof of Russia's weakness. When its just the opposite, a weakness of the West with its massive empire wide corruption and hegemonic bleeding.

I'm not going to defend Zelenskyy, but he's been in a shit situation since the start. His entire country and economy was bought and paid for by US Senators, congressmen and president Biden's family. The entire country stinks like CIA. They then pushed him into this war with Russia by refusing to deny Ukraine NATO membership and now he's stuck performing circus acts and pr stunts for weapons and equipment. In that situation you can understand the constant lying and begging for equipment. He probably legitimately thinks he's trying to save Ukrainian lives begging for equipment. Mi6 or the CIA would probably put a bullet in him if he surrendered.

Enjoy it.

Thanks for such a comprehensive update. Your description of how effective Russian attack helicopters are was new information for me. Zelensky should be pleading for Apaches instead of F-16s, aka Russian target practice.

What does puzzle me is why, with its overwhelming fire power, Russia hasn't already won. I know that the Ukranians have had a decade to build defensive positions, and they are tough nuts to crack, but even so. Since Putin's aim is to destroy the Ukrainian military first, and then take the territory he needs, then pounding the Ukranians from defensive positions achieves that objective without the casualties an all-out offensive would entail.

The bigger issue for me is why so few political figures in the US are protesting against the US pouring billions into a corrupt country that is losing a generation of men, a functioning economy and a war it instigated. RFK jr seems to be one of the few speaking out. Trump says he will end the war on day one, but he doesn't say how. Why should Putin stop when Russia is winning and will achieve its objectives and far more? The destruction of the "rules-based world order" and US hegemony is the big prize for Russia and BICS.

i suggestion vietnam history.... plenty of money to be made in a military quagmire with a corrupt puppet!

in usa the pentagon gets most of the money that does not go to social programs, and the pentagon contracts out over 60% of its budget to good profit, no one ever loses money selling to the usa insiders.

as a us marine who fought for us financial interests in latin america said: 'war is a racket', an old and continuous racket for the usa

but with this regime it could get out of control, and they believe their own tales

This has been answered ad nauseam. But once more with the short form answer. Russia is attempting to minimise casualties, both civilian and Russia's fighting forces.

The Ukies dig in amid population centres and cowardly hide behind them. And the go slow (up until recently) helps achieve that and other big geopolitical aims.

In his 1980's book "Inside the Soviet Army" by Suvorov he noted that the Soviet Army did not think of attack helicopter as aircraft but tanks. Fast, lightly armoured and higly mobile tanks, but tanks. The problem with Russian helicopters is that the UAF still has mobile light AA systems and missiles, though its larger AD strategic system appears on its last legs.

Ukraine has inherited from the Soviet Union an impressive array of air defense systems, which reduced the Russia air force's ability to operation. Once the process of destroying Ukraine's air defenses has been completed, the nature of the war will change when the Russian air force becomes more active. Bombing enemy positions with simple gravity bombs is a lot more effective then artillery shelling.

If you can that is.

The performance of the Soviet AD is pretty impressive. NATO will try to keep Ukrainian supplied with enough AD to keep direct bombing costly.

Gravity bombs are very effective, more so than missiles.

I think another reason for Russia's slow, methodical approach is the optics for potential allies in the rest of the ''Global South''. The initial Kiev rush nearly worked to get everyone around the negotiating table in Istanbul in March 2022, before Boris Johnson rushed in and gave Zelensky orders to refuse any talks.

A NATO-style ''shock and awe'' approach risks a ''bully'' tag, making others wary and defensive but the current approach is making the collective west pull back their own power curtain, and letting everyone else see the house of cards behind it.

Thanks for another informative read.

I'm of the camp that thinks that NATO, still illogically drunk on their own self-perceived cleverness and military prowess, has something planned that they think will dramatically turn the tide their way.

Based on the two sides track records, I also believe they are in for a rude awakening.
