Every time I game it out I come to the conclusion that Israel is living on borrowed time and has almost no self awareness of it. If there isn't a long term peace deal in Israel by the time Ukraine collapses, then I'm pretty sure they're doomed. The Russian war industry will be able to flood the region with weapons, drones and air defense and in numbers that the US Navy won't be able to overmatch... There is also the fact that Israel is a tiny country with only about 11M people surrounded by 1.5B Muslims.
Only about 7.2M are Jews. The remaining 2 million are a mixture of people who have no dog in this fight. Add to that 1/2 million have already left, mostly Jews with dual citizenship I'd imagine. Also, about 1.3 million are Haredi - not exactly military grade guys, in fact most of them have never served. That makes about six million (odd coincidence, no?). So out of that number, how many are actually trained and ready for combat, as opposed to just playing soldier on weekends? And when the great call-up begins (you'll know when they close the airports) where are they going to train, since every square inch of the land is within range?

Now, super expensive single point of failure aircraft carriers are quite possibly obsolete due sheerly to cost. But having a floating runway and aircraft/missile storage platform will always be valuable, even if they have to remain further and further offshore.
Those are definitely big dangers. Of course, the submarines and frigates firing them are in danger as well.
Still, if you had to sacrifice a frigate in exchange for taking out a super carrier, it's a win for everyone but the sailors on the frigate who get smoked.
When the US carriers start getting sunk I doubt the US will able to replace them, but they're heading towards oblivion as the costs and US ability to finance endless wars comes to its end. The US urgently needs to find better investments than these floating imperial dinos.

The corruption in the U.S. is at the executive level, and this is is across the spectrum from City to County to State to federal levels. The elected leaders are corrupt, as well as some procurement generals who push for specific weapon systems and then retire straight to a board seat for the defense contractor they awarded the contract to.
There is relatively little operational corruption. As in, once the funds get appropriated to maintain the weapons, the weapons get maintained. There aren't silo managers pocketing funds for maintenance and checking the form saying the maintenance was done. There aren't B-2 crew chiefs selling spare parts on the black market. There aren't drydock workers claiming they did upgrades to a submarine that they didn't do.
Operational corruption is what hampered the initial Russian offensive in Ukraine. They had trucks that couldn't go offroad because they were sitting on 20 year old tires that were supposed to have been replaced multiple times, but the unit commanders and sub-ministers just pocketed the funds instead of buying new tires.

But when you say "both sides" I am assuming you mean the bulk of Arab countries and Israel, Palestinians not being one of those sides - because they are not. Their cause is legitimate and the actions they have taken to date, weak as they are as an essentially unarmed people fighting against an occupying force, are legitimate resistance.The Palestinians are innocent as they, being under occupation for 50 years, have every right to resist by whatever means they can gather against this beast whether they have Arab support or not.

Every time I game it out I come to the conclusion that Israel is living on borrowed time and has almost no self awareness of it. If there isn't a long term peace deal in Israel by the time Ukraine collapses, then I'm pretty sure they're doomed. The Russian war industry will be able to flood the region with weapons, drones and air defense and in numbers that the US Navy won't be able to overmatch... There is also the fact that Israel is a tiny country with only about 11M people surrounded by 1.5B Muslims.

Only about 7.2M are Jews. The remaining 2 million are a mixture of people who have no dog in this fight. Add to that 1/2 million have already left, mostly Jews with dual citizenship I'd imagine.
