To the hero's who had to fight in exactly the same conditions as their enemies. Just as it is today. Russia isn't the only country that suffers extreme cold in the winter. Sorry for being a bit abrupt about it, but for me it's very insulting to the brave men/women who fought & did more than anyone to defeat the Nazi's.

Good point - it never occurred to me that the 'General Winter' trope was respected at the expense of Russian troop efficacy.
