IMO you nailed it on this one. This is a generation of Ukr "leaders" that's been fed 🐂💩from birth & their critical thinking skills are nil, making them easy but potentially dangerous tools to be used & discarded. They are the morally bankrupt product of psyop, social engineering & mass media manipulation. As that "not see" Bush said "Mission accomplished". They have the political blackmail routine down pat on a near global scale. Ironically, in reality they are the opposite of the woke west that finances the war. Useful idiots is the technical term for these latest brand of political murderers.

There was a lot of social adds in 2010-s Ukraine building a rift between "youth" and "elders".

Occasionally it had elders as "good guy", example:

https://lugaland.com/news/babushka_i_kot_stali_gerojami_mnogochislennykh_fotozhab/2012-08-26-31

https://russian.stackexchange.com/questions/25142/what-does-%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%BF%D0%B8%D1%81%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%B0-%D1%85%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%83-%D0%BD%D0%B0-%D0%BA%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%B0-mean-exactly

Funny, that is actually was a photo from Russia, so "independent" they are... https://www.kp.ru/daily/25933.4/2881569/

Byut more often it is a call to strip elders from the right or at least ability to vote.

Interesting, there were western sci-fi short stories starting with the premise people aged beyond some threshold like 30+ or 45+ years would become legally right-less free prey for hunting for "energetic life-loving youth"

👍Didn't happen overnight, as western NGOs have been stoking the fire long before NATO/Ukr test run for asymmetric war failed in 2008. Gladio 3.0 in Ukr has been more successful. Vote rigging, manipulation & fraud (worldwide) plus colour revolutions were basically tuneups for this debacle we're now in. COV19 vax is taking care ⚰️of the older voters. Many gen Z have simply run west, leaving the old & poor to suffer the consequences of war.

A little verbose but well summed up. Unfortunately you could subscribe the word Canada for the Ukraine and not much would need to be changed. Missing in feck and substance. The rest of the west isn't much better and some are worse.

I’m a professional writer to some degree. Well, a published one anyway. I didn’t think this prose was verbose or purple at all. But then I tend to like this wild style of writing. Sort of Gonzo Journalism if you will. Also reminds me of Matt Tabibi and a number of excellent bloggers like Chateau Heartiste.

Thanks, that's what I was going for. I'm just experimenting and having fun with language and still trying to find the right 'voice' for most of these transmissions. Some will be more formal, others more zany and tongue-in-cheek with language just to mix things up. I sort of naturally go with what fits the style. In this case I was profiling a bunch of cartoon-style characters (Zelensky and co.) and an army operating almost as a cartoon/meme, and so it felt only natural to describe it with pumped up euphemistic language to give it an air of the absurd because it felt like a natural match

I liked it very much. Very dynamic writing.

I don't know about having a "voice." You will develop one after a while anyway.

With me, whatever good stuff I am reading at the time goes into my prose, but not as a conscious influence, more of an unconscious one. So my writing might sound a bit like whatever I am reading at the time.

Also I walk around in the day a lot writing things out in my head.

In addition, I write sentences different ways until I find the one the one that has the right "poetic sound, music, or beat." You take out or add just one word and you change a sentence into something perfect with a perfect "beat," or you get something with a not so good "mouth feel." In poetry, they call this stuff meter and weight, but I don't understand that. I just know that I like my writing to sound "beautiful," or "musical."

I'd say your voice is, like the "real you", whatever writing voice you created when you woke up that day. The real you of course being whatever persona you created when you woke up that day. On the other hand, there does seem to be a "real you" and hopefully it's relatively healthy and not too sick or messed up. As the Greeks said, "The purpose of life is to know yourself," or "to thine own self be true."

Of course over time we develop a basic personality that doesn't change tremendously, but you can move around a lot in that range especially as in you can get quite mentally healthy or quite mentally unhealthy. Even there, I think people have individual "crazy styles," or ways of going crazy. Many people will have different ones. And we all have different "sane styles" too or ways of being healthy. I've done a lot of work as a psychological counselor so this stuff is interesting to me.

Of course over time you will develop a basic voice, but I think it should grow organically rather than as a conscious endeavor. Just sit back, relax, and let it flow. Sort of like what the surrealists were doing with "automatic writing."

This bit of prose had a nice "jaunty" feel about it.

Your mixing of styles is a quality I like, and IMO you've done it right so far.

Disagree on the verbose part, i really enjoyed reading every detailed stylistic description of the differences between the two forces.

Agree on the CAF though - i would say CAF is in an even worse spot, since i don’t seem to see the declaration of pronouns emphasized in ukraine.

I was surprised to the degree the once anti-war Left went Hilary Clinton, Soros, Five Eyes, the WEF and Gates, but it is a long hatched Democrat plan playing "Who has the money?" For Empress Hilary, its the Hilary Clinton Foundation and "we came, we saw, we conquered," for Soros it's high Finance and currency, and Gates... Well he owns the computer industry through Microsoft, much of the Comm industry with MSNBC, NBC, and PBS (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), the laboratories that make the vaccines, and guess from whose laboratories COVID came from. Now the Dems can't fundraise anymore but are entirely dependent on Gates largesse and his story: " Russia invaded Ukraine for no reason." I also wonder post-COVID if people on the left don't need authority to be right on COVID, so they must be believed or we will all die. Haven't we heard that story recently? "You are killing my children if you don't wear a mask. You must obey authority."

the term "Left", like so many others, has been completely co-opted, and entirely lost its former meaning, which to me started with economics of the Marxist tradition. That "Left" was anti-war, because it was anti-capitalist, and waging war to gain colonies was a necessary part of capitalist expansion. The preoccupation with and the elevation of non-white identity that the "Left" has acquired seems to come out of the Frankfurt school, aka cultural Marxism, which in itself is a bastardization of Marx's focus on economic inequality. I'd love to get @Simplicicus' take on this topic as I'm sure he (I get the feeling Simplicicus is a guy) has great insight.

The Left in the west has always been just a brand meant to divide, conquer the electorate least they stray towards actually useful ideologies that can threaten the status-quo. On policy the democrats have always been as pro-empire as the reds, otherwise neither party would be allowed to exist.

I have said from day 1, the General (or whatever he is) saying yesterday we eliminated 2 tanks, 4 jeeps and 25 soldiers, is boring. No wonder the ghost of keiv etc was more popular. Even though most of the people behind that were american - remember the woman from the usa's ministry of truth? She had ties to zelensky too.

This is an original insight. It reminds me of French dissident Alain Soral talking on ISIS kamikazes, in reality young hords of nihilistic cheap muslim mercenaries coming from 50+ countries whose only chance to get money, have adventure, be a hero, or be something in the spectacle narrative is literally ram into the enemy with a double dose captagon high. In front of them, adult multichildrened fathers suffering and fighting painfully to keep their children alive, taking and accepting everysacrifice in the book. It is the confrontarion between the sense of history towards the complete transformation of everything existing into marchandises, and the preservation and survival of the old human reproductive animal. The former have a lower sense of self preservation, are eager for action, glory and satisfaction whereas the latter tend to selfprotection, not taking unnecessary risks and tranquility. The former are weaker mentally and phycally but they are way more numerous since they can be hired all over the world for peanut money. The latter are virtuous, experienced and physically endured by time, but tend to be passive and reluctant to fight. In Syria, ISIS was stopped and defeated by a dutiful resilient kind of men. The big numbers of militants helped by Western technology were inferior to order an command, nobody still cares about those disposable militants..They just disappeared. In the Ukraine, the hords of cocaine whores and tattoed punks are certainly having a harsh landing when dealing with mud, cold wind and exile. A whole generation has been wiped out, the link between generations lost. This is a moral lesson for the world which wont probably be listened to.

Ah, Simplicius/Nightvision, your writing is superb! Interesting observations on the stylistic differences between Russia and Ukraine, and their impacts, however temporary, on the battlefield.

Your erudition shines through this entire piece and I can't help wonder at your background. I can understand why you would prefer to keep your personal history private, as the Saker tried to do in the beginning of his blog. It certainly doesn't matter in terms of the analysis you present, but I for one am quite interested.

Drawing a parallel to what is going on in the USA, the old way isn't perfect, but the new way is rooted in mental illness. It may be hopium/copium on my part, but I think I see concrete signs of the tide turning. Slowly, but the signs are there, right???
