As I read it (from Russian sources) Peter the Great came to Britain in 1698 and made friends with William III. Russia then assisted Britain in the destruction of the old silk roads across Asia, into China. This left China's only viable trade routes by sea, which the British controlled. In the 1750s, Catherine the Great rewrote Russian history and aligned it with the West; this project continued until the 1800s. Waterloo (1812 onwards) - the Russians were on the same side as the British. By the Crimean War (1850s), both had fallen out. What happened?

You may well be right, but the British Empire has always been sea-based, whereas the Russian Empire was land-based. I can see that the Brits stuck their thumb up Russia's butt by getting involved in the Crimean War, and the Russians then assisted the Union against British blockades in the US Civil War. But it still doesn't explain the utter hatred that the Brits have had for Russia from 1914 (ish) onwards.

There's plenty of history to read on the subject which has been referred to as "The Great Game." Harold McKinder, British historian, referred to Central Asia as the Heartland and he who controlled the heartland would control the world. Afghanistan played a central role in the Game and India was the Jewel British interests wanted to protect while Russia wanted to expand it's influence and trade for their goods through the old silk road which ran through Afghanistan down through India. BRICS is a cooperation group for various topics. The fact that Turkey, a NATO member whose trade is mostly with Western countries, can apply for BRICS membership shows that it's not what some people think.

But I guess none of that matters. Countless Blacks being killed by other Blacks and Arabs can't be used to talk about "White racism," so the media barely mention it. What about Putin banning homosexual propaganda in Russia, banning NGOs funded by Democrats like George Soros, and condemning mass immigration in the West, which he says is destroying the West? Uh-oh. One thing that has helped it make some sort of sense to me is the notion that the handlers/archons/1%ers etc… are just fine with creative destruction and controlled chaos simply because they will try very hard to have enough resources left once the dust settles so that they can determine the shape of things to follow. Agenda 2030 but a bit deeper and probably more sinister.

I quoted this passage because of "the pursuit of Happiness" part at the end which is a fitting consequence for the original comment's demands. I would have emphasized it to make it more clear for retards like you or the ones who liked your comment, but unfortunately, substack doesn't have such features in the comments section.

It's quite fascinating how much you are capable to interpret into that one sentence combined with that rather short quote. No, that is not the only part I know. It isn't my favorite part either because it just states the truth. The best part of this formidable document is the signatures section: The men who put their names under that text. They were basically signing their death sentence which is what would've happened if they were caught. And yet, they didn't care because they were the leaders any nation would be fortunate to have.

Britain did NOT increase its production rate of its various war material during the Phony War, Sept 1939 to April 1940. That's one of many reasons it's called the Phony War. The British and French elites were not the least bit concerned about the growing power of Nazi Germany because the West always planned for Germany to attack the USSR and rid the world of Bolschevism. Chamberlain didn't get stupid at Munich in 1938. His plan was to give Czechoslovakia to the Germans. That increased the size of the Wehrmacht by 45% and increased Germany military war material production by 45%. All according to plan. The French were 100% part of the Drang Nach Osten plan. I agree with much of what you say. However, the fact remains that the UK did not have a serious air force until 1940. They withdrew their air force from France during the German invasion so as to preserve it.

Obviously, the British largely created Hitler so that Germany should invade the USSR. How else could the Germans have created serious armies between 1933 and 1939? Germany was on its knees in 1933.

of cause not - everyone was trading with everyone in the 30s because it made money (and money was needed, ever heard of Great Depression that last for well over a decade?). Brits were trading with Germans, US was supplying anyone who can pay. Soviet Union traded extensively with Germans as well in insane quantities (especially in 1939-1940-1941) providing train loads (think millions of tons) of supplies to country that was at that moment fighting British Empire in return for advanced equipment, machines, etc. USA also happily supplied entire factories to Soviet Union in the 30s enabling industrialization, money is money. The 'bankrolling' is BS, everyone wants to remember what other side(s) were doing and wants to forget their own actions.

The very best book on the subject is by Dr. Annie Lacroix-Riz, titled « le Choix de la défaite » Second Edition 2010, published by Armand Colin, ISBN 978-2-200-35111-3. Unfortunately it’s only available in French but it’s easy to buy online for about $46 plus shipping. It’s 679 pages, of which over 65 pages are short (1 to 3 line) references to archived resources (military, diplomatic and – most importantly – big businesses and banks, mainly French and German, but some British and a few others.) These heavy footnotes are crucial because her assertions are shocking and you need the very hard evidence she provides. If you are proficient in French and have the patience of a graduate student, the book is stunning. The French Wikipedia page for Dr. Lacroix-Riz is https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Lacroix-Riz She is Professor Emeritus at University of Paris, 7eme. The Wikipedia article is surprisingly informative with not much “erasure”. But as with any contentious topic, ill-meaning people dump slop here and there. Just step around it.

In English, the pickings are more meager, AFAIK. The best is Dr. Michael Jabarra Carly, Professor Emeritus at the University of Montreal. His best-known book is “1939, The Alliance That Never Was and the Coming of WW2”, ISBN 978-1-56663-785-5, (1999), 384 pages. You can get a good used copy for $10. It’s an easy ready because it focuses on just the year 1939 and leaves out 95% of what Dr. Lacroix-Riz wrote about, but 1939 is a good introduction to the grisly topic. The French professor used the extremely damning evidence in business archives and German sources, where Dr. Carley’s archives were more narrowly focused mostly on British diplomacy. The research for “1939” came before the Soviet archives were fully thrown open to researchers, and Dr. Carly has always suffered from the impediment that Canada simply does not have free speech. Carley is widely considered “the dean of Canadian historians” for good reason, and I suppose he had to watch his step on certain topics. Tenured profs in Canada have been immediately sacked for merely saying a few words in favor of Palestine. Dr. Carley has become more free in his analyses over the last 15 years. Also, he's fluent in Russian so I look forward to reading more of his later works. His materials are generally available online for free; you just have to look.

Dr. LaCroix-Riz and Dr. Carley have published a lifetime of quality research, beyond just the run-up to WW2.

if India does not protect its own technology and information space, it would be ripped apart through economic pressure, separatist movements (sorry 'national liberation' movements), etc. at certain point you have to put up or shut up as we say in USofA. if you want to have a seat at the table (be it Security Council, influence, favorable trade deals, etc) you have to be able to define and protect your interests regardless of what anyone else says. It's called realpolitik, look it up. There are no permanent allies or enemies in politics, let alone international politics where the only thing that matters is the interests of one's own country. Every country has done that, India is late to the game after decades of naive idealism.

The USSR was always a solid ally and biggest defence partner, only recently India has started to diversify its defence procurement.

Coming to the Ukraine conflict - India has no stake in the matter either way, and recognizes that this is something that concerns only the two warring countries and at most the immediate neighborhood. Modi knows to keep his mouth shut on the matter, even when he recently visited Zelensky he never made any open statements denouncing the Russians.

Same goes for Israel vs its neighbors; India and Israel are defence partners, and India also is a buyer of oil from several Gulf countries, Iran included. Palestine vs Israel is of no consequence to India, in fact speaking of Jews in general, they have had no history let alone a history of interference in Indian affairs.

And it is a tit for tat - for years and years the West ignored India's protests about Pakistani sponsored terrorism on its soil funded by Western aid - which continued despite that country's uncovered perfidy in harboring Osama bin Laden.

So the rest of the world can get bent when it comes to giving advice on how India should now conduct its foreign policy with regard to the SMO and the Israel conflict.

Comments on Modi & india's policy towards Russia and the US are totally off the mark @Denis, @Digger. we've got to think in more than simple linear terms. Shaking Trump's hand, or embracing Putin is for the cameras. For real policy, look at the actual actions and non-actions. India has supported Putin by ignoring US demands for sanctions, while they've kept US interested by taking part in the QUAD alliance of pacific powers. Along the way India has made a neat packet getting cheap oil from Russia and exporting high priced gasoline and diesel to Europe. India is acting firmly in India's interests, as they should. Geo-politics is complex and can't be analyzed by simplisitc expectations.

Well, I get what you are saying in a non-linear way. If you read the article note that India was threatened in that the US does not want India to do business with Russia. Countries that refuse to trade in USD's are marked for sanctions. Sooner or later India will be forced to pick a side. They were originally 14k a month prior to war, the 36k increase represents the multiple shifts added, which is why further increase is highly questionable as it is. I'm not sure how exactly they intend to increase it x10 of that past the shift increases when the factory itself has a finite volume

Producing more ammo would require hiring more employees & outfitting larger factories than the Scranton facility, for instance.

The U.S. would need to invest billions of dollars worth of capital & manpower to ramp up domestic production of munition shells like @ the Scranton plant--an investment in more forging machines & lathes, the training of new personnel, the stockpiling of metals & explosives.

Potentially a factory like Scranton would have to expand their premises or look for new sites, purchasing adjacent land parcels for expansion purposes, clearing all the environmental hurdles & building the new plants.

None of which is happening.

31 months of the SMO has induced delusional thinking in the gray matter between the ears of neocons: a War-Pig Derangement Syndrome. Policy-makers have tasted blood & viewed war-porn videos of bombs pancaking apartment hi-rises & battlefield amputations as the result of fast-flying American shrapnel--and they can't imagine a time when domestic wealth did not rely on killing people far from home.

The plant in Scranton, run by the U.S. Army, is staffed by Baby Boomers, who have been on the line for decades. It has proven difficult to hire competent Millennials or get GenXers to do jobs like this.

Manual labor relies on a cultivated skill-set. If workers are drawn to the managerial class--positions in the FIRE economy, finance/info tech/real estate/electronics--they are never going to opt for a tool & die kind of sheet metal shop.

Even the equipment @ a plant like Scranton is no longer state-of-the-art; it has aged-out as its workforce has. Nobody in the U.S. is making the kind of precision equipment needed to produce munitions. Some of the work is so labor intensive it is done by hand.

Americans aren't drawn to factory work. The U.S. has lost manufacturing skills over the past 40 years. If you want to expand a factory now, or put on a 2nd shift, it is impractical, because the workers aren't there. Moreover, the managers are retiring, so the institutional knowledge w/ which they graced plants like Scranton--and which they might have passed along through training a new generation--is disappearing w/ them.

When my 43 y/o son graduated HS, I toured the well regarded local tech school with him and met the head of the Tool and Die program there. My son was not interested in their program He went on to graduate from our flagship state University (w/ 3.4 GPA) and proceeded to work as a bar tender for the next twenty years. He worked the whole time in school and graduated with no debt. We all make our choices. (I have a graduate degree in Ed that I never used)

His (9-yr) younger brother, at my encouragement, went to this same tech school and graduated from their "Bio-Medical Engineering program". He immediately got an interview and subsequent position with a major Health Care corp in the Dallas area. He was 21 y/o at the start and had no family, friends or contacts in TX. A rough and lonely start there but he figured it out. He lived in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio off and on for the better part of ten years. All first rate cities with friendly locals that I was thrilled to visit during his tenure there.

To say that his tech school origins led him to a highly rewarding post now would be an understatement. He sells first in class, state of the art robots on the West coast now and will likely double my closing income when I retired at 60 y/o, 12 years ago. (caveat: for context, my annual income was way above average) I was in industrial sales for 27 years and sold industrial goods in a low margin, savagely competitive environment.

That tech schools are not promoted more is a national disgrace in my opinion. He also left school with no debt and his first job in TX saw his employer pickup the tab for his getting a bachelor degree in business,

If the USA imagines it can fight all these stupid, unprovoked wars with no muscular industrial base, well...come to find out.

Also consider the fact that the US and all of the West are up to their necks in the cult of global warming, which is basically a convenient excuse for the deindustrialisation and financialisation of their economy.

This is all planned and supported by the banks of course, so they can sell their debt. In a properly functioning and traditional economy built on manufacturing, debt is completely superfluous.

Building any new, significantly large manufacturing capacity of any consequence now is going to be exceedingly expensive and difficult, by design.

There were quite a few tool and die machine shops in Pennsylvania when I was in that part of the U.S., but that was 20 or so years ago. The workers there were quite competent. Whether they have been able to carry on training new workers over the past 20 years, I have no idea as I have not been in the the U.S. for a long time.

Looking at video of the 155mm artillery shell manufacturing plant in Scranton what is most striking is how small and outdated the facility is. It's nothing like the vast, hypermodern arms factories in Russia, China, or heck, even North Korea, which the US likes to mock for being inferior to the US.

The "captains of industry" destroyed their own workforce out of greed; there were no unions to stand in their way this time, they too have been subverted. And this has been going on for decades, so that there are now no skilled industrial workers left, in any specialty. It takes years of specialized education to produce one; and who will undertake that effort, after they saw their hardworking parents thrown out of work and ruined? One would be a fool to commit to a difficult, losing career track.

Furthermore, a competent, high-quality industry is not even a matter of raising and educating a new cohort of workers. It is a matter of centuries of tradition; this tradition is the reason the West was so invincible, until first Japan and then China made the monumental, multi-generational effort to develop that tradition*. But this tradition is lost now**; the last grey-haired boomers still working in the most demanding factories are its last epigones. There will be no replacement for a century, even if the masters somehow learn to be patient, conscientious managers, which hell will freeze over before they do.

The financialisation of the economy means that the aim of employment and wages is now to maximise debt eligibility, rather than to skillfully create something that is useful.

Manufacturing jobs barely register for becoming eligible for enough debt. It is far better for people now to work as managers of managers of managers, and provide services for companies providing services.

This way they can charge whatever they like, and the bank gives everyone the debt to use to buy it with.

But, ruefully, I must agree with Robert; in the early days of Israel, most of that Arab land has been actually bought, piece by piece, by Jewish foundations. Not all of it, and the pricing was grossly unfair, but the sales of the land parcels were made willingly, often even greedily, by people who thought they were the clever ones, and making a good deal.

Here are the facts.

1. On September 3, 1947, UNSCOP (U.N. Special Committee on Palestine) issued its report to the General Assembly declaring its majority **recommendation** that Palestine be partitioned into separate Jewish and Arab states. It noted that the population of Palestine at the end of 1946 was estimated to be almost 1,846,000, with 1,203,000 Arabs (65%) and 608,000 Jews (33%). It observed that there was **“no clear territorial separation of Jews and Arabs by large contiguous areas”**.

2. In the whole of Palestine at the time UNSCOP issued its report, Arabs remained ➡️ ⮕ “in possession of approximately 85% of the land”, while Jews owned less than 7%. ⬅ ⬅️

3. Despite these facts, the UNSCOP proposal was that the Arab state be constituted from only 45.5% of the whole of Palestine, while the Jews would be awarded 55.5% of the total area for their state. In other words, take land from the Arabs and give it to the Jews.

4. The UNSCOP report acknowledged that with regard to the principle of self-determination, the Jewish National Home and the sui generis Mandate for Palestine run counter to that principle. In other words, the report explicitly recognized that the denial of Palestinian independence in order to pursue the goal of establishing a Jewish state constituted **a rejection of the right of the Arab majority to self-determination**.

5. A sub-committee was established and tasked with examining the legal issues pertaining to the situation in Palestine. In its report issued in November 1947, it concluded further that the partition plan was “contrary to the principles of the Charter, and the United Nations have no power to give effect to it.” Furthermore, the United Nations Organization has no power to create a new State. Such a decision can only be taken by the free will of the people of the territories in question. That condition is not fulfilled in the case of the majority proposal, as it involves the establishment of a Jewish State in complete disregard of the wishes and interests of the Arabs of Palestine. Nevertheless, the General Assembly passed Resolution 181 on November 29, 1947.

6. The resolution did not partition Palestine or offer any legal basis for doing so. It merely **recommended** that the partition plan be implemented and requested the Security Council to take up the matter from there. It called upon the inhabitants of Palestine to accept the plan, but <b>they were certainly under no obligation to do so. **Arab delegations requests for a referral to and ruling by the International Court of Justice were never put to vote by the president in the Assembly.**

7. Furthermore, the Arabs also proposed an alternative plan: an independent state of Palestine in which the rights of the Jewish minority would be recognized and respected, and which would afford the Jewish population representation in a democratic government.

8. Resolutions 43 (on April 1st, 1948 calling for truce between Jewish & Arab armed groups), 44 (convoking a special session of the General Assembly to consider further the question of the future government of Palestine”), and 48 (establishment of a “Truce Commission” to further the goal of implementing its resolutions calling for an end to the violence) were adopted.

9. Despite all of this, on May 14, the Zionist leadership unilaterally declared the existence of the "State of Israel".

In other words, whatever land is owned does not equate to having the right to create a state, esp. against the wishes of the indigenous population, as per point 5 above.

What was purchased was considerable, but doubt it amounted to 'most' Arab land. In any case, the 'willing sellers' were in most cases wealthy absentee landlords. The people who actually lived and subsisted on the land had no say (and no compensation or recourse) and were kicked out.

It's hard to judge what the Sarmat test failure means. In general it's proven to be very reliable with the recent test being the first failure.

What happened during the recent test is not clear, whether it was a stockpiled Sarmat or a modified version being tested. It's also not known if it was the Sarmat itself that failed or a failure in the launch support systems that caused the missile to blow up. It could also have been sabotage: the US is at war with Russia and it would do all it could to create such a failure. All you need is one guy in the forest nearby with a drone carrying a small shaped charge.

Likewise, the Minuteman III failure is hard to read. So far, Minuteman III's have proven to be very reliable missiles despite their advanced age, although there has been around a 2% failure rate in launches. Even if that was 10%, it's not enough to believe the US's silo-based missile deterrent is nothing to worry about. 90% of the warheads being delivered on target would still devastate Russia.

The Sarmat is an ICBM. Russia had ICBMS in Service for decades and nobody doubts their ability to deliver nuclear warheads to any point in the world. Moscow doesn´t need to demonstrate that by shooting a maneuverable hypersonic Avantgard vehicle into US territory with just a payload of concrete.

Furthermore, the Sarmat missile has already been adopted into regular military service last year, which means that the testing phase was already over and the tests were successful.

Austin seems only sane one in FJB entire cabinet. Military knows exactly what's up though unlike State - they can read grave stones with satellites and easily count all the bodies on the floor. Also they know they lost the arms race and really don't want to even send more weapons the be humiliated let alone troops, not to Iran and definitely not Russia.

I have read the theory and I'ma call bullshit.

Besides there being no real evidence, we've seen similar confident predictions many times in the past. I recall Raev, aka "the Saker" making them on multiple occasions.

Quad had a Plus-One when it met in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday--not Dr. Jill this time, since she was fresh off her turn as the Chair of the Cabinet mtg, but President Blinken who rounded out the plenary dais of 5, so this wasn't Quad--it was Quint: the hegemon [as represented by Joe & President Blinken ], two vassal members [ Australia & Japan ] & Modi.

The Quad's joint statement, released on the White House's website, did not directly name China, but it did mention "East and South China Seas." Meanwhile, Joe was caught on a hot mic telling the other leaders that an "aggressive China is testing us," per CNN.

Curiously, the Quad has met 4 times this year--and it is not yet October

It is a failed OTANjr, as the Asia Times article reports. Thx for this link. But it, Quad or Quint, is curious in its predictably provocative stance.

The initial dialogue structure between the U.S., Japan, Australia & India was paralleled by joint military exercises of an unprecedented scale, titled Excalibur Malabar.

Thought left strategically unspoken, the diplomatic and military arrangement was widely viewed as a response to increased Chinese economic and military power.

Interestingly, BRICS saw its first summit mtg in 2009

Good news is Russia published it's full list of countries they'll accept conservatives from effective 21 September and already took 18 Scottish families applications first day according to the telegraph. With the ever increasing police state, deteriorating economies, and civil strife in NATOstan I see few reasons to stay. One shouldn't stay in a abusive relationship with a partner or a country IMO. Contact your local Russian consulate/embassy for information.

Yes Israel is collapsing economically and socially--and incidentally also being defeated militarily. Yes the Axis is playing the long game 1) because of said collapse and 2) because they know war with Israel, even if the Axis wins--which it would--would be horrific for the people of both Lebanon and Iran. Finally, I don't believe the weakness of Biden offers a particular opening for Netanyahu. Trump is even more sympathetic and Harris will do what she's told. American support for Israel won't waver. The C-17s and 141's will continue to supply the bombs. The problem for Israel is that without direct military intervention by the US, Hezbollah will clean their clock. It has to suck the US in--or lose. And it just might succeed since the "elected" government is bought and paid for by AIPAC. Our only hope is the generals and the security establishment. They may be evil, but they are knowledgeable and sane. They know what the consequences of general war will be, and will hopefully stop the runaway train. Otherwise we're in big trouble. Finally, what do you call a legal country in which 80% of the citizenry (not counting the marginalized natives) settled there since 1947 and have systematically ethnically cleansed its territory? a) a settler state, b) a genocidal colonial state, c) Israel, d) the vilest of all nations, e) a, b, c and d.
