You would think it worked that way, I used to, yet it doesn't.

This series of videos by Catherine Austin-Fitts is informative on how the capital markets, world economies are run, and by whom. https://totalityofevidence.com/catherine-austin-fitts/

Especially helpful are these video interviews with Ronald Bernard who worked on the inside of world finance, a very ugly and dangerous place. https://www.youtube.com/@dvmtv7961

In a society structured by the acquisition of money in which all are competing for this same product, the creation of the surplus of capital which can be made in order to produce yet more surplus, those that dictate the rules of the game are those with the levers of power, capital

This is a structural inevitability: the meaning of capitalism is in the ever increasing capture of larger and larger amounts of surplus by fewer and fewer

The grunts who work the markets, or the banks, etc are not part of the dominant class, the owners of capital, but are those paid minions who do the day to day maintenance

Ditto politicians, press – and of course the administration and execution of any policy, ‘the government’

You are assuming the top tier end game of the acquisition of money is the money itself.

The links I posted belie that; the end game is not money, it is absolute power over life and death, over the world and all humanity.

Capital acquisition is a means to an end, not an end it itself.

It is not an assumption to suppose that the system called capitalism is structured around the accumulation of capital - no need to redefine capitalism, nor to claim westie countries exist under another system of oppression

In capitalism capital is power, only capital is power – if not one would not call it capitalism – (there are alternative systems)

There is no possibility of any other point or purpose or power, the subjugation of other classes is achieved by the power of capital, in order to produce capital

Hence : war is business: the law is business, the government is business, you too are business

Human beings per se are of no concern - It’s not personal! (Robots will do fine!)

You appear to wish that capitalism had some sort of ambition or purpose other than capitalism itself – the ambition/system to direct humans for/to purpose is called religion

"You appear to wish that capitalism had some sort of ambition or purpose..." And you appear to assume capitalism is an end unto itself. It isn't.

Capitalism is a means to an end, think of capitalism as "one ring to rule them all" and you will be on the right track. How you are missing the connection between the accumulation of wealth by a select few and the evil that walks among us is rather beyond me :)

Capitalism is an end to itself - any understanding has to come from Marx's analysis

It is religion which seeks to give purpose to life - you use the word 'evil' , and you quote the faux religiosity of that sentimental saxon fabulist from Oxford

From the point of view of religion materialism is deficient, certainly - but look around you, I assume you live in the west, for every act or manifestation of religious sentiment you will find thousands of materialist

You may be animated by a sense of religion, but, in your country, you are in a small minority

God love you, speaking of religion :) It appears you are wedded to the idea that all those that accumulate massive wealth do it for the sake of wealth alone. You can hold to that premise as long as you like, it will not change the truth of the matter.

There are people who are very wealthy who wish to reorder the world to their own liking. They are evil and they are well along with their plans. And when I speak of evil , I speak of a fact not a religion. They state their plans clearly, you chose to ignore them at your peril. Peace.
