Just as there is no hard and fast line between offense and defense, there is no hard and fast line between military and civilian systems.
Military industry is integrated into the civilian infrastructure. The military production facilities use electricity from the grid and other fuels and materials from the civilian supply chains. Their workers are civilians who have to be housed, fed and transported.
Wrecking Ukraine by knocking out vital pillars of its economy makes MORE sense if your plan is NOT to invade and occupy the ruins.
The Russians won't have the task of repairing any of it, and it fulfills Moscow's strategic goals of taking the Donbass, with its sympathetic population, but rendering the rest of Ukraine incapable of posing a threat to Russia for at least another generation.
crikey, once they leave Ukraine, where do you think the Ukrainian civilians go to (and have been going to and are staying since 2022)? hint: not going eastwards.
Actually, you are dead wrong with that hint. More Ukrainians emigrated to Russia, after the start of the SMO, than to any other country. And I am not counting the Donbass natives.
And once the barrier of the frontline is down, the real migration will start.
The US is now openly threatening with invasion Denmark. Not Macedonia, Montenegro, or Bulgaria, i.e. the Balkan Slavic untermensch that the West has always despised nearly as much as Russia, but one of the NATO founding members, inhabited by white blond people speaking a Germanic language.
So if Russia solves its NATO-in-Europe problem, are we to believe the US will use nukes on Russia to defend what no longer exists given what the US is doing now?
Going on 4 years. The goal of taking the Donbass, one of Russia's primary objectives, will happen soon, within the next couple months likely. The rest? Maybe later.
I am going by recent activity and the statement by the Russian general to Putin at their last meeting with him, stating the it should be done within about 2-3 months. For the General Staff to say something like that publicly means something.
Let’s hope not. Too many lives and valuable resources are being wasted trying to stave off a defeat that has long been a foregone conclusion. Must the Russian army fight all the way to Zelensky’s Kiev bunker, as in 1945? It clearly will, if it has to.
At this rate, however, England won’t be in line for liberation until the 2040s, more’s the pity. If this goes on beyond the fall of Kiev, Russia might be well advised to start arming resistance forces in EU-occupied Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
"Zelensky's bunker in Kyiv." In 1945, the Soviets didn't have the modern weapons that would have allowed him to avoid moving to the Führer's bunker. The Führer will be buried in his bunker, still alive, one hopes. Living in his grave, that's just what he deserves. Some suppose that Oreshnik doesn't have the claimed penetration capabilities; as far as I know, Russia hasn't given any details. They say the penetration is 6 stories, but quickly clarify that being buried 8 stories below ground is the only way out and survives, that it's a more atrocious and terrifying end than being blown up.
Dr Ted Postol has written articles on the lack of ground penetration capability of Oreshnik. Bottom line is 36 X 80 kg inert metal projectiles each delivering the destructive power of their weight in TNT. Crater depth 2m. That's right 2 m. The FAB 1500 sub hypersonic bomb according to Dr Postol is 40m penetration. He stated hypersonics go too fast to penetrate the ground deeply and don't possess the necessary fused explosives for underground explosions that are necessary for significant underground explosions. This was all explained on a YouTube channel episode with Glen Diesen around January 15-17 2026. I hope this helps.
I saw that, but something doesn't add up. It is my understanding that the Russians developed Oreshnik for the main purpose of deep penetration. Apparently the underground factory at Pivdenmash aerospace plant in Dnipro was wiped out (haven't heard anything to deny that). It is hard to believe that 80 kg travelling at Mach 13 surrounded by extremely hot plasma that vaporises anyth9ing in its path would only penetrate 2m. I think Postol was talking about the submunition that started rolling, slowing it down, not the successful ones.
Postol is right, and any expert will confirm it. The Oreshnik's capability essentially consists of concentrating 36 projectiles in a small area. It is therefore suitable for destroying a building, a localized industrial complex, but it has nothing to do with the power of nuclear weapons, as propagandists have been peddling, including the ridiculous leader of this blog, who titled it "Thunderbolt from the Skies: Putin's Doomsday Weapon Puts NATO on Final Notice," nor does it have anything to do with deep penetration.
Dr. Postol has far more respectable credentials in physics & weapons technologies than myself.
I have a meat axe level of understanding, I just shot stuff, blew things up and implemented those things happening where, when and to the degree desired? Nobody would recruit me for Sandia/Argonne/Los Alamos National Laboratory (and my father turned those establishments down in his time, thank god).
Postol has come to very different conclusions than myself re: hypersonic projectile effects on targets, energy applied and penetration of submunitions. I need to see WHY he says such things, hopefully his reasons for those statements can be expressed mathematically (rather than politically!)
Actually wrong, due to poor assumptions on his part. Go see Gus' explanation on his History7 channel.
TLDR, penetration depth depends on the *speed of sound in the projectile itself*.
If the Oreshnik sub-munitions hit the ground at a speed *slower* than that speed (hint impact speed was sub 4kps, sos in steel/tungsten is 5kps) then maximum penetration occurs.
If the projectile hits at speeds OVER 5kps, then Postol is correct.
I think it is kind of already over, in the sense that Russia could coordinate breaches and probably collapse the front at any time. I suspect the goal is to bring the Ukrainian public to the point where they demand surrender, or all move to Europe. Ukraine has to be made neutral, through acceptance or through depopulation.
The average for drones launched into Russia has now been over 150 a day for the last couple weeks.
There are several Neptune cruise missiles mixed in pretty much every day too.
How is turning the light off in Kiev going to stop that unless there is a force of 500K to a million assembled and ready to go to take the territory quickly?
Of course it won't, because the drones are not made in Kiev. Or anywhere in Ukraine.
They are made in Europe. Today there was an announcement that Renault is converting a car factory to a drone manufacturing one. That is only the beginning.
And there is no million-men army ready to join the fight, in fact what there is out there right now is barely sufficient to crawl forward at a snail's pace and to repel the constant Ukronazi counters (not always successfully).
As we have discussed countless time, if Russian cities, infrastructure and factories can be bombed 24/7, but nothing is flying in the other direction, and if there is no serious mobilization for war while the other side is mobilizing, then this is a war that Russia will lose with 100% certainty.
But what is Putin doing? Sending the slimebag Dimitriev to Davos.
What does that tell us about where the Kremlin is at the moment?
P.S. Speaking of Davos. There was information a few hours ago about more Oreshnik launches coming soon. Well, this is the moment -- you have all the scum of the earth gathered in one place. Take them out. Dimitriev too.
Usual ramblingly incoherent braindead horseshit from the Green Goblins great uncle enjoying his retirement in la la land after a long and successful career as a neocon stableboy.
I usually put more substance in my replies than that, but yeah, both of those are correct.
Putin is incompetent and/or a traitor, and that resulted in Russia being in a position to have no other way out than to use nukes. It will win that war though, and it will not be an all-out global exchange, this is the part that you don't get.
Why do you waste your time writing all that gibberish then? You are a broken record repeating the same thing over and over again. Only the naïve or weak minded believe what you write.
We've been going back and forth for a couple years here.
Who has been more accurate in his analysis in that time?
The bold predictions of imminent Ukronazi collapse have been with us every couple months for four years now. But it never comes. What does come instead is one catastrophic strategic Russian defeat after another while Putin is licking Trump's rectum and refusing to defend the country.
You don't understand this war and reason for it based on long term politics. One day war will be over and life will go on, preparation for it is now with politics behind the scenes. Think. If you want win and opponent makes mistake, help him in it.
>>What does come instead is one catastrophic strategic Russian defeat after another while Putin is licking Trump's rectum and refusing to defend the country.<<
Strategic defeat, hm?
Do you even know the difference between strategic, tactic and operation-level?
How many wars have you fought in?
What's your military rank?
With what level of decision making have you been trusted by the military or even commercial entities for that matter?
With every post you sound more like the 5th colon that has been established to weaken and twist opinion and spouting nonsense that's bordering the insane.
>Do you even know the difference between strategic, tactic and operation-level?
Yes, in the whole of 2025 Russia took Seversk, Pokrovsk-Myrnograd, and Guliapole. That's it. And then the front stalled again. That's the very definition of getting bogged down in tactical and low-level operational mud.
Meanwhile:
>Strategic defeat, hm?
Yes, strategic defeats.
1) Ukraine. The very fact that this war happened and has dragged on for so long is a gigantic strategic defeat. There was no real Ukrainian nation prior to 2014, there is now. And this a direct result of the idiotic and compromised by suspect loyalties foreign policy of unilateral concession to the West combined with the vague hope that "our oligarchs and the Ukrainian oligarchs will figure it out and there will never be war". But hope is not a strategy and you have no strategy then you get strategic defeat. And further strategic defeats following from it.
2) NATO expansion. US missiles will soon be stationed 100 miles from Murmansk and 50 from St. Petersburg.
3) Armenia was turned. Azerbaijan had already long been turned but now it openly showed it.
4) Syria.
5) Venezuela
Loading:
6) global naval blockade
7) Cuba
8) Iran
9) Kazakhstan
>With every post you sound more like the 5th colon that has been established to weaken and twist opinion and spouting nonsense that's bordering the insane.
You mean the 6th column perhaps.
Although you not knowing the difference shows how much you understand the situation.
5th column: pro-Western liberals and outright traitors. Like Yakovlev, Chubais, Gaidar, Kozyrev, etc. And like Kiril Dimitriev and most of the current oligarchy that Putin has not touched and that still owns half of Russia. Ready to surrender to the West and firmly against all resistance. Ready to further break up the country too. Absolute scum.
6th column: Strelkov/Alksnis/Kvachkov/Kalashinikov/Gubarev/etc. patriots who criticize the Kremlin for being cowards and/or traitors and by doing so undermine the power structure.
Now there is some truth to that concern. That phenomenon played a large role in the collapse of early 1917. But if the political leadership is indeed cowards and/or traitors itching to surrender without a fight, and have already done so countless times in the past, which is how the current mess was created in the first place, then how can you keep quiet?
You tend to get shouted down here by the local mouth-breathing NPCs, but I think a lot of people are coming round to your point of view.
There is only so long an intelligent person can read "Ukraine is on the brink of collapse lol!" content, as well as just looking at the big picture, before coming to similar conclusions.
Also note that I've been very consistent in my position since late March 2022, when it became clear that we have a serious problem here.
Prior to that I simply couldn't imagine that Putin would launch the war without having also decided to win it and in turn to reorganize Russian society the way it would have to be reorganized to win. It was always clear that once that step is made then the commitment to winning the war has to be as total as it was in Stalin's days,
In the first days of the war there was a lot of fog as the whole internet ecosystem of real-time reporting channels didn't exist yet. So it wasn't yet clear how bad things actually were in terms of sabotage from on top -- for example, I thought that Zelensky was in Poland and that once he reappeared he would be promptly taken out, i.e. the reason he hadn't been taken out was that he was in Poland, not because Putin got an order from Tel Aviv not to touch him.
We were also waiting for the second and third echelons to come in and finish off the Ukronazis.
By late March it became clear no second and third echelons existed and then the simultaneous shocks of Istanbul and the goodwill gestures came.
But still to this day you see what the level of understanding of what is happening among the members of the Putin-is-our-savior cargo cult is...
Which nobody cares about nor will it have any effect on the war, because the rear is outside of Ukraine.
That's like claiming that the Japanse turning the lights off in Hawai and the Philippines in the summer of 1945 would have prevented Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Exactly zero Russian missiles or drones hit NATO, so yes, truth.
Oh, hold on, there was a stray Russian missile--with a lump of concrete for warhead, so target--found in a forest in the center of Poland, in 2024 I think, by a woman walking a wiener dog. Polish AD never noticed it, so there is really no way to tell when it came. Google it, the Polish government shat itself and invoked section 5. So you are right, there was a hit on NATO!
Nobody except the people actually in Kiev and the rest of Ukraine without power and heating living in freezing apartments you babbling brain dead cretin
As usual, our source in Langley conflates missile launches with missile impacts.
As for attacking Davos, it is only necessary to remove all the male and female prostitutes who have been flown in to service the delegates, and they will then disappear like GMs on a sunny day.
The TPP in Oryol has been hit half a dozen times already. By missiles.
Belgorod's TPP got hit today too, which is god knows how many impacts by now, and there have been serious problems with the grid and heating for weeks in the whole region.
How did that happen? Some evil witch flew over those facilities and cast a bad spell?
As I keep saying, the SMO was started officially to protect the Donbass from genocide as one of its main goals. And people genuinely thought that once it's under the Russian nuclear umbrella, the terror will stop. But what happened in practice instead? The whole of Russia has been turned into a giant Donbass. And a giant Syria too.
AFAIK, the genocide in Donbass was stopped in its tracks - we rarely hear of missile strikes there anymore, and what was definitely planned to be a genocide, via the invasion of the UAF, was smashed like a rotten egg long ago.
Nuclear tech will only be used in case of an existential threat to the survival of the RF; it isn't for everyday use, as both sides fully understand.
So what we have is a slow awakening of the bear, and the FAFO principles put into action, via conventional technology, of which Russia is the master.
But we do hear, almost every day---unless your only source of information is the MSM. And what makes you think that missile strikes in Belgorod any less serious than missile strikes in the Donbass?
Russians & Ukrainians are identical people. Why can't they not make peace with each other?? Why are Ukrainians still honoring Bandera who collaborated with the Germans??? The Russians assasinated him many tears ago. What else do you do with a trtaitor who collaboeates with the Germans???
When I lived in Ukraine, I never met a Ukrainian who could not speak Russian. I met many who could not speak Ukrainian.
99+% of the conversations I had were in Russian, the conversations I heard on the street were in Russian, the joke around the office when filling out official forms was "How do I say [X] in Ukrainian?" and getting three contradictory answers.
Hell, once I had to explain (in Russian) the meaning of fairly mundane Ukrainian words in a contract to two Ukrainians, one a representative of the Yushchenko regime, the other a Kiev-based businessman.
It was surreal, as I am self-taught in Russian and never actually set about to learn Ukrainian, but I spoke more Ukrainian than many people living there.
I'm not going to do a deep dive onto why men kill their brothers, that's been going since Cain & Abel, but I will present my hypothesis about the death of Stephan Banera for public debate and discussion. I'd like to see if anyone can poke any holes in it.
Over the last few years I have taken it upon myself to learn what I can about Stephan Bandera, and I have come to the conclusion that it is extremely unlikely he was assassinated, by the KGB or anyone else.
Consider the evidence presented to the public.
All we have is the testimony of a defector in the custody of Western intelligence. He claimed while on trial that he shot Bandera with some sort of special weapon, a gun that shot a poison gas that simulated the effects of a heart attack. No such weapon was ever produced and no such weapon has been produced in the 70 years since. How exactly would such a weapon even work and what would be the advantage of using one in this circumstance? If you wanted him dead then just kill him, why try to conceal it?
Yevhen Konovalets, the other OUN leader was killed by a bomb, why use a super secret undetectable "James Bond Q division" weapon (which has never been seen or used since) to kill Bandera? The most likely explanation is that Bandera died of a regular heart attack and the rest is a classic bit of Cold War black propaganda.
Would they invite the international press to read all their files and check all their cupboards for a poison gas heart-attack gun?
If they HAD done a secret assassination, designed to be undetectable, wouldn't they also DENY that they had done such a thing?
But the bigger point here is about the nature of truth and how we look at the stories we tell. It is never the case that the story stands unless someone disproves it. The story stands if someone PROVES it.
What's the evidence here? And what can we deduce about no evidence of the heart-attack gun ever appearing for the last 70 years?
Whose medical documents and blood tests, Bandera's? The Russians wouldn't have them, Bandera died in Munich. If the Germans have the files that scientifically prove Bandera was murdered in the way they say, then they can release them.
But again, what's the point ? What would the KGB have been trying to achieve? Revealing anything about a secret operation defeats the purpose of a SECRET operation.
If they wanted the world to know that they had killed Bandera why not use a bomb or a knife or cut his head off and stick on his gate?
There is no advantage in using a secret weapon that makes a death look like natural causes and then advertising it was NOT natural causes.
HOWEVER, there is an advantage in spinning a story that your enemy has a secret weapon that kills people but make it look like natural causes. The KGB would look like evil super assassins and any natural death could be spun as a murder by the opposition.
No one can explain how the heart-attack gun actually works, or why it has disappeared, but a STORY about a heart-attack gun works very well.
Agreeing with your point.... I used to see lots of stories like "Aliens had my Baby", "I met Elvis last week" etc, etc, in the Inquirer and the Weekly Standard (these rags used to be available for purchase in the checkout aisle of US supermarkets). I never saw the US government come out with definitive proof that these weren't true, so I guess they must be true, right?
Bandera liked a certain candy. The Russians sent a KGB agent to give Bandera a box of the candy he likes. When he opened the box it exploded and killed Bandera.
Nope, that was the other Ukrainian Nationalist I mentioned, Yevhen Konovalets. He was killed by Pavel Sudoplatov using a bomb in a box of chocolates in 1938 in Rotterdam.
That’s why I asked if a bomb was good enough for Konovalets why use a bizarre device like a heart-attack gun for Bandera? What’s the advantage, even if there is such a thing?
I don't know what sources you reading, but his assassination was in opened USSR archives after it fell. You see, classified archives is such a thing, that you can go with its contents to a bank. Because its whole purpose is to write down AND hide the TRUTH. That's how we know everything about planned and aborted assassination of Tito, we know exactly how many people died to political prosecution in Stalin times (it's 850k, not 20-40 millions lunacy), we know everything, including every name of participants and casualties, about Amin palace raid.
And we know for sure, who killed him, by which means and why. There is no conspiracy you looking for.
Fine, show me where I can find the Soviet files on the assassination of Stephan Bandera, Lev Rebet, and the heart attack-gun that Kostiantyn Kapustynsky, AKA Bohdan Stashynsky, said that he used to kill them both. I've been hunting for them and I can't find them.
The important thing to remember is that artifacts, like guns, can't lie like people can. They have to obey the laws of physics, chemistry and biology.
Stories don't.
An artifact must have been designed and constructed at sometime by someone somewhere.
So who, when and where?
And where is it now, and why has it never been seen or used again in over 70 years?
Look, you decided not to trust Soviet archives, fine. I can't help you here, because it's question of faith (from both sides, yours and mine). I read about Bandera murder 20 years ago in a paperback, looking at photos of archive pages, there were tidbits from people involved in that, dropping and sharing interesting facts. They all dead now. It was a good read. Do I remember author or name of the book? No. Is it on internet? I don't know, it's most likely not even translated right now, like most of works based on archives which was done in post-Soviet Russia (we all really only know about House&Glantz books, and they ARE westerners) Like how easy is to find seminal study of Viktor Zemskov? I've just spent 5 minutes and I've only got russian language sources.
So, to archives. I totally believed it then and I believe now. I already explained why, it's purely logical, occam razor reasoning.
And don't expect material artefacts in some museum of sorts, it's KGB after all. Not everything made public and that's fine.
So have you seen the files or not seen the files? Have you just remembered reading a book in which someone claimed to have seen the files, and if so do you remember what that person said they saw in those files?
Rule Number 1 in mental self defense against lies and propaganda, is that the report of a thing is not the thing in itself, the report of a report of a thing is not the report in itself, the report of a report of a report is not... and so on and so on.
What you have is a story of a story of a story. That's all that anyone has, there is no physical proof and there hasn't been any for 70 years.
Occam's Razor, which is sometimes stated as "Do not needlessly multiply entities" is also often stated as "The simplest explanation is most likely to be true". It's a very good way to look at this story.
Which is simpler, that Kostiantyn Kapustynsky killed two men with a super secret heart-attack gun, which has disappeared without trace from history, or that he lied?
The other technique to protect yourself against propaganda is to start from known and observed basic facts about the nature of reality, physics, chemistry, biology, and so on.
>The weapon itself resembled a Colt M1911 pistol with a scope, but it didn't fire .45-caliber bullets. Instead, it fired a frozen pellet of saxitoxin, a poisonous substance derived from shellfish that consumed toxic algae blooms.
>Once in the body, the victim experiences paralytic shellfish poisoning, which can present as a tingling sensation, followed by shortness of breath, abdominal pain, choking and lack of coordination. The victim is paralyzed before dying of respiratory failure in a process that can take seconds. The only evidence of foul play would be a small red puncture wound, one not easily found by a coroner not looking for it. The cause of death would appear to be a heart attack, even to a medical examiner.
The US version. Don't know if true, but it's logically plausible enough.
Why are you worried about his/they comeuppance? Do you remember what happened to Russian pilot who are quite recently betrayed Russia and flew his helicopter to Ukraine and his two compatriots died in process?
He was shot multiple times by Makarov (of all guns) and then drove back and forth over his head by a car several times. In Spain, thinking he was safe and sound.
It is coming, just wait till Zelya finish his finishing of Ukraine. He is useful atm.
The problem is that it doesn't help the Stephan Bandera assassination at all, in fact it works against it.
Whatever was presented to the public during the Church committee hearings, (and there are good reasons to suggest it didn't work at all) it was a radically different device that what Kostiantyn Kapustynsky said he used to kill Bandera and Rebet.
The KGB gun was described as shooting a cloud of gas or vapor at short range. The CIA gun was described as an electrically triggered dart gun capable of long ranges.
Which brings up an interesting point. If Western Intelligence really believed Kapustynsky had killed two men with a heart attack gun, and thoroughly debriefed him, gaining his practical knowledge of it, why didn't they recreate it? Surely they would want this super weapon too, even if only to defend against it.
So detailed technical information about it should exist both in the CIA and KGB archives.
So where is it, and why has it not been seen anywhere in the last 70 years?
Send a letter to the SVR; they will send you the report. Also, submit a request to the German Institute for Forensic Medicine. Present yourself as a renowned criminal historian.
As I have mentioned, what I’m doing here is developing mental defense against propaganda, that’s something you should be interested in too.
Mental defense is just as important as physical defense, maybe even more so. If your physical defense fails, they can kill you, but if your mental defense fails, then they can get you to kill for them, you will be their slave, and I say, Death before Slavery.
As I have also mentioned before, I do not have to prove them wrong, they have to prove themselves right. The uncorroborated testimony of a defector in custody, claiming he killed two men with an undetectable super weapon that has never been seen, before or since, just won’t cut it.
Don’t be a fool all your life, and never go about on the internet unarmed.
"That's something you should be interested in too." If you followed me, you'd notice that most of my contributions are tongue-in-cheek. As for the others, for some time now, they've been grievances against Simply regarding all this information filth, mainly spewed out by the UKrops. As a scientist by profession, an excellent analyst, propaganda has a long way to go before it reaches me. My mind is pure.
It's clear, you'll receive the Nobel Prize in Criminology. Unless you have access to the archives of the SVR, the Stasi, or German intelligence, you won't find anything publicly available about his death. Moreover, in the Western historical narrative, he's been exonerated and presented as Christ.
If you are a communist or a Jew, then the vast majority of what your family told you is lies. For decades I believed the Jew propaganda regarding WWII. Funny thing about factual information being available on the internet, we can see through the lies now.
Is something wrong with you?! My own family got not a drop of jewish blood and experienced firsthand German atrocities, just like tons of other people from the former USSR.
Yes, I happen to know my biological parents and even grandparents who lost many family members to that war, as well as have furst witness accounts. There was no good reason for Nazi Germans to come to Russian (aka USSR) soil at that time. Lebensraum and all that was the reason, not some mystic fight with some foreign ideology. If you are next to a rock, moving a hard place next to you is not "liberation". Once again, millions were killed on THEIR OWN soil, millions became orphans, millions sent to labor camps in Germany, and there are still people alive who lived through that or those who know them. So easy to re-write history
I do know my biological parents. Doubt you know yours. For decades I believed the Jew propaganda regarding WWII. Funny thing about factual information being available on the internet, we can see through the lies now.
It's the stupidest form of propaganda ever considering "saving" from communism was funded by the same people who literally funded communist revolution in Russia. Just never ending excuses to grab Russia's landmass and resources. At least a thousand year's endeavor going back to East-West schism
The Ukrainians consider themselves Europeans and they consider Russians as "Asiatic".
I talked with some of them and they think that they possess a superior western culture compared to Russians. No matter what Russians would do, they shall be hated in Ukraine.
That's exactly true. Never mind no one including themselves can tell each other apart. Ukraine is now a European version of BLM. People like to believe in their own superiority, and anyone who tries to take that away from them is their personal mortal enemy.
Republicans and Democrats are the same people, nationally speaking. Why cant they get along. If you can answer that than you can answer the Ukranian, Russian issue as well.
Call me a bleeding heart liberal but I dont see how having millions of people freeze is a good thing. The strike resources are being extended on the wrong things.
A huge number of dead people. In terms of history, frankly not too much. On the other hand, the city still stands and can be repopulated with far less effort than if it had been razed.
Russia could have gone on Ukraine like the USA on Bagdad from the star full destruction of power grid. Russia was hoping Ukraine will come to its senses. Ukraine/West took Russia's restrain as weakness. Now, Ukraine learns the hard way
Russia could have gone on Ukraine like the USA on Bagdad from the star full destruction of power grid. Russia was hoping Ukraine will come to its senses. Ukraine/West took Russia's restrain as weakness. Now, Ukraine learns the hard way
Ah yes the DAVOS crowd….I believe the verses of WarPigs by Black Sabbath is still a fine summative for that.
In regard to lessons learned, fear and hate are certainly the more primal visceral reactions, but for the sake of future generations let’s cling to the notion of higher learning. A more observant take away might be that “It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal.” Another lesson could be that when a western power broker stages not one but two coups inside of ten years, they might not have your best interests in mind. I would imagine that the Ukrainian end user might have cause to wonder if they have been used as an expendable battering ram. No matter, the time for feelings is over, survival is the order of the day. Regardless of whatever levels of thought any individuals may or may not be capable of, the overall lesson is that there are consequences and that they can return at any time. So go ahead Ukraine, hate Russians even though you might be one yourself. The Russians are simply using Father Winter to do their work for them. At the end of the tunnel there will be prosperity, but not before the hard lessons thin the herd.
A great deal of the support for military operations depends heavily on those power stations. Also, because much military activity is carried on in the cities and towns rather than the fields, the Russians likely feel it is necessary to force the populated areas to be thinned out to reduce civilian casualties.
I am thinking along the same line. These people were herded and trapped into this situation, placed on a a self-destructive path. They gradually abandoned common sense while submitting to questionable characters. The process took well over a decade. And the perps really have them locked into this now. It is like some evil bastards in the background are doing gain-of-function on a bunch of psychopaths, training them to perform everlasting genocide. The process needs to be interrupted.
If somebody is no longer listening to common sense, there is only one argument that WILL get through. Pain. It seems that even milquetoast Putin has begun to realize that.
True, but this is basically destroying the city in a way that it doesn't have to be rebuilt. Much better than blowing it to smithereens. Easier on the population, too. You can't run from a bomb or missile.
Buildings with running water and circulating hot water heat that freeze with water in all the pipes often DO need to be rebuilt. Especially since the majority of the big residential buildings in Kiev are over 30 years old (and the USSR built cheaply & quickly not for the ages).
1) Physically eliminate Ukrainian leadership and make it clear to everyone that nobody who feels brave enough to replace those eliminated will be left alive for very long.
2) Physically cut off Ukraine from NATO supplies.
Those are the war winning moves.
Having your own kin die of cold at --20C while not having prepared at all to take advantage of that disruption with a major offensive is one of the most idiotic things the Kremlin has done in this war, and the competition for that crown is really tough.
As it is logistics from NATO to the front lines is still running uninterrupted and nobody who matters has felt physically threatened, thus no deterrence has been imposed in any way. So the military effect is close to zero.
You can't just kill the leadership. Ukraine is not a third world country like Venezuela or a militia like Hezbollah. And by the way, it doesn't seem like those decapitations acheived any substantive results.
Russia cannot interdict Western support as easily as you think. I know your plan to nuke the borders, and I don't agree with it, since if you are going to use nukes, it better be worth it(take Poland or Scandinavia, eliminate GB or France or some combination). As I have said many times before, russian casualties have been vastly overestimated while ukranian ones underestimated. I subscribe to Martianov's opinion, that the russians have the receources to collapse the UAF and are waitting for the right time(the art of war part of general staff's planning). I actually think this summer or next winter will be right time to launch a major offensive: too few troops, ammo, and eq for UAF, while morale will be in the gutter both at the front and in the backfront. If the UAF survives this winter, which I think they will, can you imagine come December 2026 what will be going through the minds of most ukranians... utter hopelesness. They will welcome the russians not as conquerors, opressors or liberators, but as a medicine to their disease. Hard to take but necessarry. Too many ukranians believe western propaganda, as did the german population in ww2, but the Red Army in Berlin faced no resistance, just acceptance and compliance.
If the Russian generals have the means to collapse Ukraine, and have held back for 3 years just for the lulz, they are liable for all the casualties that could have been avoided. Hundreds of thousands of dead, on par with Gaza.
They haven't held back, more than was needed for the overall grand strategy to succeed. You shouldn't think of it as ww2, or ww1, although there are similar elements, but as more as just another US proxy war. Think of S. Vietnam and its collapse. The south vietnamese on paper had more people, eq, ammo and had been fighting for 20 years, but a small 3 month offensive(which the North did 7 times before) turned into a rout. Saigon fell , not for a lack of soldiers or eq., but because the will to fight was gone. People who had cursed the North for 20 years, lost brothers , children and husbands to the war, were relieved for the war to be finally over. With hindsight the russians could have won in 2022, or 23, or whatever;they could also have mobilized more and lost 200k or 500k and taken Kiev a year ago, but that was not ideal, if NATO intervened. The general staff every 3 month does math:what do I have, what do they have, how much will I lose if I launch a Big Arrow offensive. Imagine in 2022 it would have taken 2mil casualties, in 2023 1mil casualties, in 2024 500k casualties, in 2025 300 k casualties, while in 2026 maybe it will only take 150k casualties. There are also other considerations:political, strategic, diplomatic, besides the operational. All these elements in Clauswitsian terms must be met for a succesful end to the war.
Yes. While the Ukrainais are suffering Russia did nothing to make the European masses feel the cost of this war. That is because Russian elite adores Europe. They dream of going to shopping there again.
I have never seen such devoted consumers of anything "western" as rich Russian liberals living around me. They imitate scenes from "American life" as they think how it is.
I knew a Ukrainian woman, an attorney working for a westenr law firm, whose dream was to be able to emigrate to Boston and work an an iStore, just so she could be surrounded by iProducts all day long.
There were Azov soldiers buried with McDonalds boxes in their coffins a couple years ago. This was before generative AI really hit the world, and was filmed extensively, it was real.
There is a tiny problem there -- these are Russian civilians we are talking about.
Too tough for their own good. Especially the ones who still have sympathy for Russia.
How many towns did we see the Russian army liberate in which a lot of civilians spent long months, years even, under constant bombardment just because they didn't want to leave their homes and/or they were waiting for the Russian army.
Same thing in Kiev. There are hundreds of thousands, and it will be mostly Soviet-born elderly people, who will remain there no matter what. The difference is they have no firewood to keep warm at -20C, so a lot of them will die. For what? There is no offensive towards Kiev about to be launched...
What you do in such a situation if you are going to target the gird is that you stock up on 750-kV transformers, you take out the Ukrainian 750-kV ones in a single mass salvo without taking out generation facilities, thus shutting the grid down completely, then the military does a blitzkrieg (assuming it is even possible) with decapitation strikes to take advantage of the chaos, you take over lots of territory quickly, and then as you establish control over the territory you restore the grid with the 750-kV transformers you have stockpiled, in order to minimize the civilian casualties.
Instead we got the shitshow from the last three years, which is the most pointless waste of military resources in history. Countless billions were spent on missiles and drones yet it made no difference whatsoever to the course of the war because it neither shut the grid down (as the supreme genius leader had forbidden it) nor imposed deterrence. What was the point then?
All that was done was to destroy the energy generation facilities that Russia itself had built on historic Russian land and will now have to rebuild. Because either way the war ends, Russia will have to rebuild them -- if Putin finally wakes up and takes over the whole of Ukraine, it will rebuild them as part of restoration, if it loses the war, it will again rebuild them as part of reparations.
Effectively NATO had Putin spending billions to destroy Russia's own Soviet-legacy infrastructure with Russia's own long-range munitions. How fucked up is that???
And it was literally a 5-digit number of drones and missiles that was expended in the energy war. Had one each of these been sent to the locations of each of the top 10-20,000 prominent Banderite Nazi in Ukraine, how much more of an advance towards the achievement of the stated goals of the SMO would have been made? Because there was no "destruction of Soviet infrastructure" as a stated goal of the SMO, but "denazification" definitely was there, wasn't it?
I understand your suffering and longing to undo the collapse of the USSR, but there is nothing that can be done to undo it. The colllapse happened, decisions were made and the consequences are clear. The people of Kiev are ukranian not russian. The UAF is made of ukranians, not russians. Will they be russian in the future? Maybe, but for the moment, they hate Russia, fight Russia and dream of the West, even more than liberal russians. There are no 20k Banderites with their address and time when their home, stapled upon their forehead. There are many ukranians(millions) that believe propaganda and hate russians, these people have to leave or fight. That' s the only way Ukraine becomes Russia again. Russia is ready and capable to collapse UAF, but it will wait as doctrine dictates for the right moment.
But it's ok to round up young men and throw them in the front lines with no experience to die in a foxhole. War is inherently cruel, Bash. There's no pretty way to look at it.
There was a science fiction book Tactics of Mistake by Gordon R Dickson in his Dorsai series. Its been a long time, so sorry if some of the details are wrong. The Dorsai were basically a world full of mercenaries. While they were out fighting on contract the homeworld itself was invaded. Most of the younger population took to the hills, but enough of the older population remained to give the appearance of normalcy. There was a low-lying area perfect for the invasion, so that was where they landed. The Dorsai had known they were coming and seeded the ground with something that produced a poison gas that slowly incapacitated and killed. This affected both the invaders and the remaining Dorsai. The invaders had no idea what was happening but really couldn't blame the locals because they were getting sick and dying just as they were. The invasion was repelled. Obviously these days they'd have been able to identify the agent, but the book was written in 1970 and its the idea that counts not the mechanism.
Basically your society is at war and there are going to be casualties. Not all of the casualties are going to be on the front lines. The Russians know this and accept it. Sucks if it happens to you, but it sucks to be killed in an automobile accident, too. The rewards are seen to be worth the risks. Yeah, the families of those killed in a drone strike might feel differently, but it is the viewpoint of the Russian people as a whole that counts.
Russia could have done this in February of 2022. The fact that they waited three years, and only did this after repreated "Ukrainian" (CIA MI6) attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, says that Russia viewed Ukrainians as brothers and did not want to freeze the people. The reality that they have reached this point says that it is time for this to end. Ukraine must surrender or freeze to death. Your British-American "friends" will not heat your home or feed your family. They were using you all along.
The counter argument against destroying the infrastructure in 2022 was that was what NATO wanted. In theory, to be followed by an insincere territorial concession by Kiev and a decades long NATO funded Bandera/Nazi terrorist insurgency. Washington thinks that way because of their mythology of the Soviet debacle in Afghanistan.
If you think that foreigners would be able to supply the ranks of Ukrainian insurgents without sticking out like hookers in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir...
I'm not sure the Russian general staff plan around keeping Ukrainians happy. They respond to Western escalation. One day they will give up on the hope of de-escalation. Maybe soon if they're building another 11 divisions.
Yes. Yakov Kedmi, a brilliant Russian analyst with long-time ties to the elite of the Kremlin, claims that Russia has readied 3 armies. One to finish the job in freeing the 4 regions accepted into the Federation. The next to take over the South, including Odessa once the first army has succeeded. And the third specially prepared to wipe out Europe should they decide to make war on Russia - this army is apparently equipped to quickly end Europe's military capabilities once and for all - this army will clearly demonstrate what REAL war according to Russian standards is.
Or it could just be bullshit, in pure Trump style: "We will hit them like they've never been hit before." Also a brilliant analyst, and unfairly cheated of his Nobel prize.
I think they do. Its almost impossible to hit the locations Russia does without causing casualties so they must have a directive to cause as little death as possible.
Russia is trying to wage some holy war of attrition and wants to be on the moral right side of history or something. It is causing more Russian deaths to save those 'brother' Ukrainians who call the Russians Orcs on a daily basis.
Russia is acting like a simp to get his girlfriend back, but everyone sees that she treats him like shit, yet Russia still thinks he is in love and runs back after every humiliation. Its friggin hard to watch a grown country act like this.
I think you'll find protection of civilians is enshrined in the 4th Geneva Convention. The Soviets were horrified with the wanton targetting of civilians during WW2 as were many others. Ofc the Russian strategy is to try to be in the right side of history. Thinking this is some kind of lover's tiff is to miss the point that this battle will determine the future world order. If the West can't defeat Russia the Chinese are the default Hegemon. It's only a matter of time, this is the Russian strategy.
Spot on but the nafo bots will never concede that point because doing so would be an open admission of the cruel mass killings enacted by the liberal world order. Still maybe the idjits are waking up, or at least acknowledging this, as Mark Carney's speech in Davos yesterday admitted:
"We knew the story of the international rules-based order was partially false. That the strongest would exempt themselves when convenient. That trade rules were enforced asymmetrically. And that international law applied with varying rigour depending on the identity of the accused or the victim."
Only partially false Mark? As any accused war criminal from the global south and their compatriots knew that being dragged before the so called 'International Criminal Court' was dependent on being a human whose heritage wasn't snowy white. There were occasional exceptions for 'former alleged communists'* such as Slobodan Milosovic, they were mos def the exception.
When thinking of war crime bombings western minds tend to consider the outrageous bombing by USuk of civilians in Germany, Italy, Hungary and France.
However by amerikan generals' own admissions more,& bigger bombs were dropped on civilians in Vietnam, Cambodia, Iraq, Syria & Lebanon since ww2.
The so-called liberal order has been slaughtering civilians with abandon around this old rock for the last 80 years.
*NB Most politicians in Croatia & Slovenia were also former big-wigs in the Yugoslav communist party - this has been routinely ignored by liberal media since at least 1991.
I watched Carney. He looks to be hedging for leverage. Time will tell how deep the Western wounds run. And nothing compares to the US war crimes committed against Japanese civilians. McNamara's blanket firebombing followed by a couple of well placed nukes over civilian targets. It makes Gaza look like a skirmish.
I don't know because although I opened this can of worms with my reply earlier, it is impossible to get precise data on what amerika did in many of the conflicts other than boasts by politicians or their generals. Mostly though, it is foolish to compare one atrocity with another simply because it is divisive at a time when solidarity via unity should be our guiding principle when developing resistance to the wanton slaughter currently occurring all over this planet.
We know that both President V. Putin and Ayatollah Khamenei have been very forthright in declaring their opposition to killing civilians in any nation, including that of their adversaries. In both cases their arguments were based on their belief that they and their fellow citizens considered such acts to be immoral.
Not Robert McNamara for the indiscriminate/terror bombing of Japanese cities (McNamara WAS doing statistics & analysis for the US Army Air Corp though).
McNamara's WWII BOSS, *General Curtis LeMay*
committed what he himself said would have been war crimes against Japanese civil society if his side had lost.
McNamara had his turn at BBQing civilians indiscriminately with air power during Vietnam.
Unlike some, I don't have an opinion on Russia's planning. I don't have enough information. It is what it is though and it's their choice. My observation is that it seems to be working. The split in the Western alliance is growing. Western logistics aren't keeping up and the Empire is overextended dealing with a number of crises.
This is absolutely incorrect, Russia did not have the capacity to do this in 2022, it's taken a while to both ramp up missile and drone production (not to mention technological innovations) and deplete Ukrainian/Western air defenses.
I'm responding to this comment not because it's relevant to the comment I made (it's not, even tangentially), but simply because I'm often fascinated at peoples' cravings to be right, and feel smarter than entire nations and their political leadership. I, myself, do not consider my opinions highly, and certainly not enough to share them here, I'm more interested in knowing what happened, what is happening and what will happen.
In response to your comment, two turns of phrase come to mind. One is that hindsight is the foresight of an anus. The other is that I don't have to run faster than the bear, I only have to run faster than you. To wit, there was a plan, many plans in fact, and what does it say about the plans of the losing side in this war?
"To wit, there was a plan, many plans in fact, and what does it say about the plans of the losing side in this war?"
Great point. NATO/USA was ready and planned this for many years, decades even. NATO (UK) naval base at Maruipol, largest military in Europe, etc and still they failed. And miserably so.
Russia could have turned off the gas in 2014, because Ukraine's gas entirely comes from Russia, Mr. Hindsight of an Anus. Russia could have turned off the gas in 2022 as well. To say that Russia did not have the missiles to do this in 2022 is to miss the point entirely. Ukraine's gas comes from the Russian pipeline.
Russia didn't turn the gas off for one reason. Because it wasn't beneficial for their strategy. Today they turn off the energy because it is. Does anything else really matter? Perhaps they are offering Ukraine piped gas that the Ukrainians turned off in 2023.
They didn't turn off the gas because it would have accomplished nothing. We know this now for a fact when transit was completely stopped in 2024. It raises the costs, but it's not like there's a shortage of gas in the world. Electricity generation and distribution is an altogether different kettle of fish.
They had to go in Denis. Don't you remember these following two facts?
Just prior to the SMO élensky expressed a desire for nukes. And amassed 600,000 NAZI troops on the Donbass border with the intent to ethnic cleanse (Russia has shown the world the documents).
And then there were the bio-labs too. So three reasons why Russia had to act, ready or not.
And by the way, most countries that are attacked usually aren't ready.
Not true. Russia had to act then. The Ukies were just days away from invading full force into the Donbass - letting that happen would have been a HUGE fuck up as the nazis would have begun an immediate genocidal campaign. The Russians had to move then.
Its a classic case of if I demonstrate that I'm willing to use force, then you will come to your senses and start negotiating seriously. A sane person would expect Ukr to negotiate and abide by "modest" Russian goals. However, the leadership of Ukr (influenced by the West elites) decided to not act in Ukr's best interests, and to be stubborn and risk it all (death and destruction). In the end, this is what they'll get. Unwise, irrational, pointless. Russia will now get all of Ukr instead of just 2 oblasts + Crimea they wanted in Feb 2022.
The likes of yourself always sign off with a laughing emoji like all true armchair warriors. Totally clueless, cowardly & plain idiotic. You have no concept of this conflict. The size of it, the suffering & the immense amount of strategic planning. Compare what Russia is achieving against the whole of NATO. To the whole of NATO plus 20 years & at least 1.5 Trillion dollars in Afghanistan. We've witnessed a mass slaughter against civilians without any form of defence in an tiny area called Gaza over the period of 2.5 years yet Israel & it's NATO backers with the latest & greatest weapons still fail to take this tiny area. Do you find that worth your pathetic laughing emojis?
Russia knew very well about the western intensifying encroachment on its boundaries for many years and it had all that time to prepare.
The SMO was forced to retreat right from the beginning completly unprepared and lacking competence like a deer caught in headlights.
4 years later, a million casualties and counting, severe attrition on both sides and Russia still has failed to conquer the 4 oblasts. It will be worse when we see the terms of peace Russia accepts allowing Ukraine to live and fight another day. What a joke.
People tend to continually overlook the immense size of the country and the massive fortifications NATO had built up over the prior 7-8 years. We are talking about a 2000 km front line here.
I am still puzzled by Russia seeing these forts, manned by 600K men and thought my 250K force will achieve victory.
Time for Russia to use the one weapon Ukraine lacks. If not, Russia can expect another 5 years and 200K dead. If I am Russian, my choice is to nuke Lvov rather than go down that 5-year road, which will lead to nukes anyway so use them now while you can.
I was made more aware of this in an Alex Krainer lecture. The sheer size of the line stretching from Kharkov to Odessa not to mention all the swarms of spooks and medical research facilities….astounding. I was following it since ‘14 but it’s clear that most people around me had no clue what was happening.
What really gets to me is that Russia saw those massive fortifications being built for eight years---in a country that is completely transparent to the GRU---and yet was caught with the pants down in 2022. And Putin was SO shocked when Merkel said the purpose of Minsk was to gain time for arming Ukraine. Who'd have thunk? :-O
Dumbasses always mistake restraint for weakness. Iskander and Kinzhal both pre-date the war and were available in large numbers at its outset, and not even Ukraine's actual best SAM/ABM, S-300, could shoot those down. Whether or not that restraint was a good idea or itself a weakness is another matter entirely.
But the Kremlin is not asking for an Ukrainian surrender!
What the Kremlin is asking for is for Russia to be allowed to surrender on terms that amount to something slightly less than absolute catastrophic Russian defeat.
Predictions of Russia’s imminent collapse have been reliable headline-fuel in Western media for decades. The country was sliding into “strategic irrelevance” in 2001, “falling apart” in 2011, and facing the death of Putin and “succession wars” in 2015. Wake up people. Great Moron is a professional liar.
The only adequate response to that was to take out Trump. Not threaten, not do mock attacks, take him out. And then take credit for it publicly. So that no US president ever dares pull such stunts.
That wasn't done so what we will have instead is more attempts on Putin.
It may not have been a plan, but the fact that most people still don't see the big picture, proves the Ukraine conflict was perfect cover to displace the centuries long Western dominance and financial system. With gold at almost $4900 an ounce and silver above $95 an ounce. The new global reality will become clear eventually. The Ukrainian conflict has achieved Russian and Chinese goals far more than they ever imagined. Now it's time to end it all and watch the chips fall where they may. The last and prized objective yet to be achieved is to have the US military trapped in a quagmire somewhere, my sympathy for where this will be or hopefully the economic decline will itself reduce the capabilities of the hegemon to militarily project outside its own borders.
Does it still make sense to buy gold and silver? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question. I know very little about it. Just thinking that it cannot continue to go up?
I guess you haven’t heard about digital currency? It’s coming for sure as the majority of the population is ‘stupid’ and they accept bevause the government says it makes things easier and they all fall for it (the euro for instance, now people didn’t have to change money when going abroad… 1 or 2x a year🙈)
In reality it did not make sense to buy gold and silver at $2000 an ounce and $15 an ounce. It never makes sense to buy gold and silver until you buy it. The reality is buying gold at $4900 is stupid until the price gets to $6000 when that would be the new stupid price. Gold has been accepted as actual value for millenia by the more savy people involved in wealth creation. In today's Fiat world where value can merely be printed to infinity gold and silver stand as pragmatic time tested measures of value. I can give many reasons why silver and gold price will continue to rise but I don't want to come across as " attempting to be convincing" as financial decisions are a personal choice.
Get as much as you can farang. Gold always goes up, and now silver is going skyhigh. Read Larry johnson's article y'day explaining why silver is exploding.
Thanks. Do you happen to know of a popular Swiss investment analyst named Marc Faber who lives in Thailand? He's quite a character, funny, and loves Thailand. Fertile soil, good weather, beautiful scenery, nice people, and a great place to party. Lots of nice ladies there for the young guys, too.
As long as you have no physical metal in your safe it makes no sense. You only buy the promise of it and play the game of virtual rising value. If you are not able to realize a gain on the market, there is no no gain, just numbers on a computer.
The problem is that if people know you have the physical metal in your safe it perhaps isn't so safe any more. How would people know that? Well, if you do anything more than just run your fingers through it a la Scrooge McDuck (like selling some) people may wonder where you are getting it from. I suppose small sales, spread out geographically might be safe enough....
You did read past my first sentence, didn't you? Also, right now things are not nearly in an extremis situation. People are mostly lawful. If things get bad, that could change.
Exactly! I always marvel how people who "invest in gold" are going to cash out in case shit hits the fan. My money on they'd find out the hard way that their "stashed" wherever gold trove is out of reach, and will end up selling table silver in broken pieces:-)
Can they afford foreign deployments in anything but a comfy base with Big Mac's and cinemas? Aren't they deploying troops to Minnesota? Perhaps closer to home the quagmire will be lessened. Where next, Los Angeles?
Russia could have done a lot in February 2022. However, as we dwell on Russia's ability to adapt and overcome, can you explain how that works when you move immensely faster, when you're not reacting, but being proactive and making major investments and taking risks and hoping they pay off ?
The most critical of these risks being financial and economic in nature. NATO came down like an anvil with sanctions, freezing assets, shut down air travel and all cooperation, etc.
Remember that careful economic management was hailed as something of a miracle for Russian policymakers.
You may note that this type of warfare to bring down a nation is the primary tool of the US-led empire. They want you isolated, bankrupt, starving. Surely you can imagine, among other reasons, you may not want to try flipping a switch and going from near zero to intense level of warfare in one year, let alone one week.
As another example, did we forget Russia's military organizational problems? It took them a year or more to sandblast and reform. Once they did, they've had their act together. Or would you order everyone to war.
Russia was patient and still suffered headaches and setbacks throughout 2022, but not because of patience. In fact it's patience that has likely saved more Russian lives.
One other thing that people overlook is, in the context of the US tool of isolation, is how much of the international world outside of the US and its allies are incredibly slow and reluctant to make a stand on anything. BRICS has literally told Russia to try to finish up this war, and that they don't want it to take too long.
While the world surely suffers knock-on effects, I would be fed up as a Russian. China, India, and so many other nations are just unbelievable, in their reluctance to push back on the US and EU, and tell THEM to end their war on Russia.
As such, Russia's slow boil of Ukraine is, among other things (like saving ethnic Russians in the areas they are bombing, and not making enemies everywhere), is to maintain good relations around the world. Russia has allowed a slow and stubborn world to see the New Roman Empire for what it is.
I agree with what you said and would add that both Russia and Ukraine are fighting an entirely new kind of warfare. It’s analogous to the armies of 1914 adjusting to the new technology and tactics of their day. And similar to the monotonous, grinding attrition they experienced then albeit at a smaller scale. Steep learning curve for both sides.
This 'delusional' thinking that it is going to end this year, next month, next summer, etc. etc. is all pure bullshit, there is NO END to the glorious supreme leaders mission on planet earth.
You guys keep hoping for an end that will NEVER come to fruition. Wake up mate...
I doubt that. Russia had not mobilized its industry as it did after the failure of the Istambul 2022 negotiations. So it did not have the means to attack the nazi regime, as it is doing now. This can only be done with plentiful weapons for attacks and plentiful in reserve.
The Ukrainians who are Galician nostalgia-ists or Bandera lovers are not "brothers," they are deranged Slavs who want to be Germans. These people need to be removed, just like the Sudeten Germans were removed from Czech lands, and sent to Germany. The thinned-out areas can be repopulated with genuine Slavs who are not mentally ill like the western-oriented Galicians. Freezing them out is a good start.
86% of Kyiv residents said Ukrainian is their native language. 13% said Russian was their native language in one poll.
Other estimates (varied sources):
Some city-level demographic posts have cited that around 72% list Ukrainian as their native tongue and 25% Russian, but these aren’t from official census data and may mix “native” with “daily use.”
Anything after 2014 you can throw in the trash bin immediately.
Then there was the census from 2001. There hasn't been a most recent one.
But that is not reliable either because I know how these things are done -- they will ask you questions and the write in the answers themselves regardless of what you say.
Trust the on-the-ground experience -- do you hear Ukrainian being spoken in Kiev? Not really.
The people in the government speak Russian between themselves, and you see articles crying about how children in schools mostly speak Russian between themselves, etc.
I doubt the israelis will take them, since most of them hate Jews and many are neo-Nazis. These people want to be Aryans, the big joke on them is that the Germans will never accept them as equals.
They can Germanize themselves, like the Czechs, who make even better beer than the Germans, but they will always be alien to the Germans, unless there's some kind of re-make of the German national sense. They're still very tribal, "de-Nazificantion" notwithstanding.
What will Europe look like a thousand years from now? I mean, assuming it's not a radioactive wasteland.
You act like the situation in Feb 2022 was the same as in Jan 2026.
Back in 2022 Russia was trying to negotiate and did not wanted the conflict to escalate. Russia wanted to sit down with Kiev to bring a resolution to the conflict which they almost succeeded. You do not take out the ukro power grid and then claim you want to sit down to solve the conflict.
The thing is Russia did underestimate back then just how much the west had already co-opted banderaland from their economy to their army. Once the west takes over your economy it is over and you cannot say no when they want you to mobilize and use your army.
>Back in 2022 Russia was trying to negotiate and did not wanted the conflict to escalate.
1) And what did that bring?
2) Everyone with a brain knew that if you go in at all, you will have to liquidate the Ukrainian state altogether. Or you will get an interminable war.
It brought escalation control. But you want a worldwide nuclear winter.
Russia did not go "all in" back then and they still have not gone "all in" right now. Why would you go all in right now and do mass waves of meat attacks while unnecessarily throw away lives if your enemy is waiting for you to go all in for them to eventually enter the war once you are exhausted. It does not make sense.
You retards keep calling Jews and satanists, Brits and Americans. Please stop putting my people in with Jews and satanists. Like us common folk support our taxes going to Ukraine while our Nations get raped and murdered by millions of foreigners.
It’s almost as if the Ukrainian leaders want Ukraine to be completely destroyed. Zelensky should have surrendered 3 years ago. He has no excuse for not surrendering now.
Every responsible leadership should make up a decision and conditions about cost-benefits rules right in the beginning of a conflict. How much are we prepared to sacrifice and for what. Which tresholds may not be broken? Sort of a when is it better to sue for peace? Make it up beforehand and follow the development.
For Ukraine the botched 2023 offensive should have been a warning. The failed Kursk incursion the end of the line. Now they have see-sawed through another year with irreplacable damages done to their society. When all these buildings self-destruct due to the cold the future is lost what ever they do.
Responsibility is not just about your own nation and people. You are responsible for all acts, that includes directing missiles against Russian citizens in Russia Motherland. It includes wasting the US citizens tax money. It includes most of the Europeans that now have expensive energy bills.
Likewise Putin is responsible for his own soldiers getting killed and those Ukrainians six feet under. A responsibility he shares with Zelensky&Co. And then we have all these European leaders…
Unfortunate the governments don’t. Look at ww1 and 2. Britain, France, Germany, all ended up with huge debts.
When people are willing to lend money you keep the war going. Not just fallen cost fallacy, and gambling, but also how are you going to pay back if you loose? See the devastating effect of such lending? The USA gave money to the countries in the EU, Germany as an example before WW2, Germany gave to France and Britain who returned it to the USA to pay their debt. The USA lended money to Europe who then used the money to buy stuff from the USA. I think, we have been played for over 100 years
Unfortunately Russians would have to kill them all if they want to win.
I think. Ukrainians love this state of affairs - that the war lasts that they fight and kill the Russians. They need no victory. This is what they always wanted.
Let's parse the Ukrainians. The Bandera-cult people (self-proclaimed neo-Nazi) and Ukrainian jews are not all Ukrainians. The tragedy of this war is the massive elimination of ordinary, often unwilling Ukrainians in the context of a careful self-preservation of banderites (see the likes of Biletsky) and Russophobic jews (see the composition of Kievan Junta) in Ukraine.
The Knesset/US Congress' support for Bandera-cultists has been nothing but an astonishing display of jewish flexibility. The holobiz museums are still open ("nazi&hitler" shoah story happened to be an awesome profiteering schema), and the likes of Bari Weiss and Ben Shapiro continue squealing about antisemitism – while displaying their total cognitive blindness towards genocide of children in Gaza and the union of zionists and banderites re Ukraine.
An assassin’s bullet would suffice, given that he has since personally profited by around £1 million, from his intervention, which halted the continuation of the early peace talks; talks that, as I understand it, were optimistic and constructive on both sides at the time.
Ukraine is simply one avenue for the Western Green Socialist Utopia agenda - the agenda to retake control over global supply and effectively enslave the productive, resource rich nations.
After the West establishes another avenue, possibly Iran -> Afghanistan, then Ukraine will be silently memory-holed. But Afghanistan is a particularly tough nut to crack, and going over the Himalayas would be a b*ch, so, Ukraine remains, maybe paired with Greenland?
Thatcher knew how it worked: "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." But what if those people didn't cost money, and, when selling what they were producing, the bulk of the sale went into the pockets of the Western Oligarchs controlling supply instead of to the productive nations?
Its win/win/win. The West gets to finish deindustrialising while keeping all their standards of living, they can finish replacing all productivity with infinite debt magicked up by the banks to fund their socialist utopia, and they can pay for it all with a steady stream of free, or almost free "stuff" produced by subjugated productive nations, that almost completely benefits the Western Oligarchs and banks when bought with said infinite debt.
"Thatcher knew how it worked: "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."
The problem with financial capitalism is that you eventually run out of other people's money, also. Any system based purely on zero-sum transactions is going to run out of other people's money, it's like an ecosystem populated only with carnivores.
Exactly. People don't seem to realise interest on debt can only be paid by more debt in the future. It's a Ponzi gamed by those at the top of the pyramid who can bail out before the fiscal collapse. In fact we can see that now in places like Venezuela and Greenland. Nothing says "I win" like grabbing another resource rich country.
In the past we had industrial capitalism. Industrial capitalism produced economic growth. Economic growth allowed the adders of value to become wealthier, even when some of that wealth had to be paid to the moneylenders as interest. Now we have financial capitalism. Financial capitalism produces no economic growth, thus as you say, the interest can only be paid by taking on more debt. Too many people haven't caught up and think that "capitalism" still means using money (capital) to make money out of making things, when, generally, these days it means using money to make money out of lending money.
It's not about capitalism or any other isms. It's simple monetary theory. In our system money only enters the system as debt. Interest on debt accrues. If I borrow $100 in a year I owe $105. To repay this debt another $5 needs to enter the monetary supply. It enters as debt. When the monetary supply stops growing people go broke and the Ponzi scheme unwinds.
We used to have recessions that shrunk the monetary supply every so often, now we have massive money creation trying to avoid the inevitable.
Absolutely! 20 trillion was slipped into the global money supply a couple of years ago, and hardly anyone noticed. For those who did it was quickly papered over as "transitory". We are still transitioning 3 years later!
There's no reason why fiat money can't be produced infinitely. The problem of course is inflation when the funny money is compared against the inherent value of stuff, but as long as they don't say the word "hyperinflation" then it isn't, and so it isn't the "bad" inflation like in Zimbabwe and the Weimar Republic, so everyone remains confident.
And every so often they could relatively easily produce a new currency that is "worth" 10x the old one, so when you buy your takeaway espresso it isn't $15 any more, it is &1.50, so the numbers look small again, and everyone is happy.
The whole house of cards fiat ponzi operates on confidence, nothing else.
Thatcher had the naivety of a scientist; seeing Data, the Market and so on with blinkers on. This was music to the technocrats and mafia from the US who played a blinder when she invited them in to set up home. Now the UK produces nothing and has all its institutions and structures captured.
I suspect Thatcher was an unwitting quisling, but she opened the floodgates to the succession of ghouls that came after her. Now look what we've got: the avatar Starmer who looks like a rabbit in the headlights waiting for his latest software updates that his chip can't handle 😱
It's not the Ukrainian leaders. It's their Western paymasters. To them, Russians and Ukrainians are the same. They are all Slavs, and the more of them are killed or maimed the better.
Same with infrastructure. Every bridge, building, power station, or anything else that Russia destroys today will have to be replaced - at Russia's expense. It will probably be better, but it will cost a lot.
"Every bridge, building, power station, or anything else that Russia destroys today will have to be replaced - at Russia's expense"
True, however Russia has gained all industries and resources in the liberated areas. It will pay for itself, with a profit, in the medium to long term.
Added to that are the weapons sales going forward. All countries are aware now of their superior systems.
That is really the same scenario as any proposed large industrial investment. A bridge, a dam, a road network, a nuclear power station, an airport... the pitch is always that it will make a profit in the long run. But as Maynard Keynes said, "In the long run we are all dead". In the short and medium term, Russia still needs to spend a colossal amount of money.
And the worst of it is that in 1990, all of Ukraine belonged to the USSR and thus should have been inherited by the USSR's successor state, Russia. Through astonishing bungling, Ukraine was allowed to declare independence. When the Confederate States of America tried that in 1861, they were immediately and heavily stamped on and whipped back into line.
Russia is not asking Ukraine to surrender. Merely agree to the transfer of four oblasts (about 15% of the country), where the majority of the population is Russian anyway, to Russia; and an agreement to remain neutral, i.e. no NATO bases on Ukrainian soil. The rest of Ukraine would still be governed by Ukrainians in Kyiv, 100% elected by Ukrainians.
Duh. NATO will surrender Ukraine, but only after every Ukrainian is dead and in the hopes they took a Russian with them. Making is war continue is the goal and at Russia's pace of advance this is going to go on for 5-10-15 more years.
This is a fight where NATO wants to see both adversaries bleed each other to death. NATO could care less about Ukrainian lives.
I would posit that the Russians are using laser targeting . The drone illuminates the target and the munition hits the Illuminated spot . The USA has had that system for years to bomb accurately . No need for correction when you hit the target first time , and one drone can be used to illuminate sequential targets for destruction . UMPK could have this built in , cruise and ballistic missiles (and perhaps even krasnopol ). If you can see it , you can hit it...
It is easier, and more humane, to take major cites after their civilian populations have been evacuated. After Kursk, the RF needs to claim at least 4 more oblasts (Odessa, Nikolaev, Dnipro, and Kharkiv) in toto, as weregild. Not to mention a fat demilitarised buffer zone in Chernihiv and Sumy.
Ja, but Kurt Vonnegut famously experienced and wrote about Dresden in 'Slaughterhouse Five' so the peaceful nature of the city and atrocity of the act - total immolation of a civilian population via firestorm, lacking military targets, when the war was essentially over - is more notorious.
It’s not intentional to use a freezing to death strategy, rather a diaspora strategy. The cold is of course a Russian ally Kiev 600 thousand leaving the city and many going abroad direction EU, not over the border but GB, France and Germany the willing union. Now these countries are already cracking under an African and south Asian migration stream, Putin as a failure for many knows perfectly as Russian to play chess 5G, and to put an extra mortgage on Europe that will inflate an already broken budget and cause tremendous chaos integrating Ukrainians on the run. War in and out Ukraine, Europe has a new domestic war that cannot be won not in the coming decade.
But EU parliament members and politicians do report, and they would normally hide, how can Ukrainians leave their country when Ukr. is winning the war? Besides there more than 600 thousands but not limited to Kiev, meet them in Canada, US, Britain, and more in Germany and France.
Biden and Victoria Nuland are going to send planes (paid by themselves) to rescue the citizens of Kyiv and take them to hotels in Florida so they don't get cold. USAID, the CIA, and ICE are already working on it. The Americans are so great, aren't they?
It also appears that this winter, at least January, is the coldest so far of the war. This may be incorrect but hitting central heating and water systems that run on electricity at their most critical time of the winter appears to be optimal to break systems and demoralize an undefeated population further. It will be double digit below freezing C here this weekend and people tend to hunker down and stay home. The local TV news love to talk about cold snaps, especially windchill. They need to sell ads...
"This may be incorrect but hitting central heating and water systems that run on electricity at their most critical time of the winter appears to be optimal to break systems and demoralize an undefeated population further."
That is incorrect. Russia is hitting electrical power systems that the nazi regime uses to power war production and the transportation system that is essential to war logistics. Using civilian shields is a war crime, but the nazi regime doesn't give a shit about war crimes so they've been using civilian shields from the beginning, for example, positioning weapons systems next to apartment buildings.
The nazis have deliberately built out their war production within densely populated civilian zones knowing that Russia won't hit civilian buildings. While it's true that sometimes Russian ordnance targeted at military production accidentally hits civilian buildings, by an overwhelming margin since the beginning of the war the great majority of ordnance hitting civilian buildings in Kiev (and other cities) has been the result of don't-give-a-shit-about-civilians antiaircraft fire from the nazis.
Most of the munitions fired by the nazis in an attempt to shoot down Russian missiles and drones misses, and those munitions end up falling to earth and hitting something. There are numerous cases of anti-aircraft missiles that have been fired that hit civilian buildings. A secondary effect is that most hits on drones do not blow them up into harmless pieces. Instead, the warheads and other large parts fall to earth and explode or otherwise cause damage.
That such collateral damage to civilian buildings happens is not a bug but a desired feature for the nazi regime. That's an example of the success of their civilian shield strategy, because they say all that is Russia's fault, that it is Russia deliberately targeting civilians. It's highly effective propaganda for morons because it works great on the cretins who now make up the majority of Western nations, especially amplified by totally intellectually and morally corrupt Western media.
A corollary to all the above is the Western misreporting of how Ukraine's energy system works. Russia isn't striking central heating plants, which are widely dispersed. It's striking electrical production facilities, which are a different thing. A "thermal power plant" for example, is *not* a joint heating/electricity plant. The word "thermal" is just an indication it generates electricity by burning a fuel like coal, natural gas, or oil, as a distinction from a "hydro" power plant that generates electricity by water flow from behind a dam, or an "atomic" power plant that generates electricity using heat from nuclear reactors.
There are a few joint electricity production and heating facilities, and of course nazi propaganda plays those up without telling you the great majority of heating plants are separate facilities. But the real problem that faces Kiev is lack of electricity, and that's a result of the nazi civilian shield strategy of placing military production and key military logistics infrastructure within civilian residential zones and sharing essential civilian infrastructure.
Even there, if the nazis prioritized civilians they could move the generators they use to power their war efforts to water plants to provide electricity to run pumps. Likewise, they could redirect resources to provide many more warming stations and to rig up heating supplies to those relatively few residential areas that are impacted by destruction of joint electrical production / central heating plants.
I don't know about Darnitsa specifically---I am not familiar with Kiev---but drones are largely manufactured in small shops, garages, malls---and deliberately in residential districts. In hospitals and kindergartens, if they can manage it---that is the Ukrainian way of thinking: "Spite the orcs by forcing them to kill your own kids, they don't like doing that".
DJI drones are manufactured in China. There may be some minor modifications in Ukraine, but it doesn't matter. Russia could make such processing physically impossible and all that would happen is that it would move to europe.
The only thing Ukraine produces are warm live bodies.
" Using civilian shields is a war crime, but the nazi regime doesn't give a shit about war crimes so they've been using civilian shields from the beginning, for example, positioning weapons systems next to apartment buildings."
Hmmm, for a sec I thought you were talking about a shiity, illegal settler state, inserted unlawfully in to West Asia.
Logistics need energy and fuel. Disrupting that helps Russians at the current frontline.
crikey, once they leave Ukraine, where do you think the Ukrainian civilians go to (and have been going to and are staying since 2022)? hint: not going eastwards.
Actually, you are dead wrong with that hint. More Ukrainians emigrated to Russia, after the start of the SMO, than to any other country. And I am not counting the Donbass natives.
And once the barrier of the frontline is down, the real migration will start.
It's because Russia cannot do anything that NATO actually cares about without starting WWIII.
That might be the thought, but it is false.
>They'll fold like cheap suits.
True
It won't be long now.
Sure thing. Going on 5 years and strong.
All good things must come to an end
Party on like it's 1929, Jeff.
Going on 4 years. The goal of taking the Donbass, one of Russia's primary objectives, will happen soon, within the next couple months likely. The rest? Maybe later.
"within the next couple months likely"
Have you been watching the Duran?
I am going by recent activity and the statement by the Russian general to Putin at their last meeting with him, stating the it should be done within about 2-3 months. For the General Staff to say something like that publicly means something.
Duran? The brainless couple. What mediocrity, especially the self-proclaimed expert in all things known and unknown, "Mercouris".
Yes, that crew.
Let’s hope not. Too many lives and valuable resources are being wasted trying to stave off a defeat that has long been a foregone conclusion. Must the Russian army fight all the way to Zelensky’s Kiev bunker, as in 1945? It clearly will, if it has to.
No doubt about it. And Europe as well, if it has to.
At this rate, however, England won’t be in line for liberation until the 2040s, more’s the pity. If this goes on beyond the fall of Kiev, Russia might be well advised to start arming resistance forces in EU-occupied Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
А в Англии есть силы сопротивления? Почему столько терпения у вашего народа?!
Uncle A escaped the judeah Bolsheviks.
So who to believe?
So, who to believe? Definitely not the American Postol, they are all owned.
Who to believe?
The complete lack of any photos of the sites hit by Oreshnik, other than the initial distant surveillance camera videos is instructive.
If Oreshnik was as pathetic as Postol makes it to be, then *Ukraine* would have happily flooded the internet with pictures proving him correct.
Yet even the Western satellite image providers show only carefully curated images of nothing much.
The pictorial silence is deafening. The total crackdown on images tells all.
Posol dropped in my opinion when he dragged his 1990s slides when discussing the first Kinzhal's strikes. Definitely a relic.
It didn't, so he's wrong.
QED.
Вы забываете один простой факт: это было первое пробное испытание (!) Орешника в боевых условиях. Делать выводы рано.
100%!
👏👍👌🤞🙏
Usual ramblingly incoherent braindead horseshit from the Green Goblins great uncle enjoying his retirement in la la land after a long and successful career as a neocon stableboy.
Yes we know...Putin is incompetent and the only answer is thermonuclear war.
That one day just never seems to come. SMO going strong heading into its 5th year of war. lol
RT should be renamed TT (Trump Today). RT keeps reporting stupid news about Trump.
@ frank: 5th column (not colon. entertaining image though).
Thanks.
I had it figured out over three years ago that most alt-media is just wishful thinking.
GM makes a lot of sense most of the time, although extreme at times.
Only naive fools dismiss entirely the good and valid points he makes.
Trust the plan, mate. Just another year.
Why don’t you make a counter point instead of being a school marm finger wagger
GM sounds like Dr Strangelove - imagining that poisoning the whole of Europe with radiation is equivalent to winning a war.
His logic is from Roman times; they also believed that they could create a wasteland and call it peace.
>GM sounds like Dr Strangelove - imagining that poisoning the whole of Europe with radiation is equivalent to winning a war.
1) It is, as long as it stops the drones and missiles from raining onto Russian cities 24/7
2) It will be airbursts, the territory will be ready for occupation within months.
Hiroshima is a city of 1.2M today.
You're not stupid, GM.
Even you must know that these missiles aren't raining down on Russian cities; at worst, they are raining down in flames onto farmland.
Yes, they are
Do you even follow what is happening?
Check just today's news, FFS
The Roman logic worked. They created a wasteland, and got peace.
Ignore him, don't feed the troll. This is the so called army of Zion, denying any reasonable debate and conversation. Just skip those posts.
Zion Don the Jew stooge is what is causing the wars.
A succinct and entirely correct appraisal.
But behind him, of course, the whole weight of zion, past and present.
Keep your fecal matter on you.
Putin is probably waiting to see how the Greenland ownership issue goes. Lights out in Kiev and people leaving will affect Ukraine's economy.
>affect Ukraine's economy.
Which nobody cares about nor will it have any effect on the war, because the rear is outside of Ukraine.
That's like claiming that the Japanse turning the lights off in Hawai and the Philippines in the summer of 1945 would have prevented Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Ukraine's Economy, huh?
You mean prostitution, cocaine, selling weapons, money laundering and tequila.
Business is great.
😂
"The Ukrainian economy." Which one? Where? You see the hidden side of the invisible woman, that's clear.
Since Ukraine produces nothing of account other than warm live bodies, nobody cares about Ukraine's economy.
Some good meds you are on... 🤣
😂, I got that.
‘Desmond’. Sounds like a ni - - er name….
Not cool, man.
Are you still buying that racism is not cool, man, faggotry ?
Note to self: Don't feed the teeny weeny troll.
"but nothing is flying in the other direction"
Quoted for truth!
Does anybody in the West cares about those Ukrainians? There are disposable cannon fodder, nothing more.
another briefing from the Ukranian propaganda. A perfect inversion of reality. The closest to complete defeat, the craziest these banderites look.
Yes, the Russians should all bunch together and charge the Ukrainians that will show them
As usual, our source in Langley conflates missile launches with missile impacts.
As for attacking Davos, it is only necessary to remove all the male and female prostitutes who have been flown in to service the delegates, and they will then disappear like GMs on a sunny day.
>conflates missile launches with missile impacts.
Hyperbole doesn't help your argument along.
Try to be a little more nuanced in your comments.
"...we rarely hear of missile strikes there..."
But we do hear, almost every day---unless your only source of information is the MSM. And what makes you think that missile strikes in Belgorod any less serious than missile strikes in the Donbass?
I never made that argument, so don't need to respond to it.
Epstein
You are right. Putin is practically begging for peace. He wants to make some concessions to his beloved Germany.
Once "the underlying causes of the conflict" are resolved to Russia's satisfaction, any number of conciliatory moves can be made.
Until then - no.
Great suggestion in your last paragraph 🙏
You'll have to explain to us one day how you manage to communicate from your padded room in the basement (-16 meters below ground level).
Bait used to be believable.
Well, ten years ago those same people thought something entirely different.
Ten years ago? And they all acquired Ukrainian surnames and family histories?
Ukraine was traditionally agrarian, lots of Russian specialists were sent to establish science centers, factories, etc.
How would the Russians refute it?
What’s the advantage, even if there is such a thing?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevhen_Konovalets
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pavel_Sudoplatov
If he had liked lollipops, he would have been eager and could have continued to eat licorice sticks, right?
How did the heart attack gun actually work?
It is not Stefan's death that interests us, but that of the green dwarf and all the gang around him.
I believe CIA ("west") also has a heart attack gun, and it's not even a particular secret
The CIA's "heart attack gun" is indeed an interesting thread to pull on.
Here is the very interesting oddball "Flesh Emulator" doing a short piece on it.
The Heart Attack Gun Is Real
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C67spdshF3I
The problem is that it doesn't help the Stephan Bandera assassination at all, in fact it works against it.
The Spike!
Those bad old Germans from WWII that tried to save the world from the Communists and Jews. What horrible people!
Do the crops have to be toxic? No?
They killed millions of Russians, Ukrainians and byelorussians and committed unimaginable atrocities on THEIR land. Learn some history
I know the history. Not the propaganda you have been fed and believe.
I also happen to know my own family history and do not need archives for that. Sorry it does not coincide with your propaganda.
If you are a communist or a Jew, then the vast majority of what your family told you is lies. For decades I believed the Jew propaganda regarding WWII. Funny thing about factual information being available on the internet, we can see through the lies now.
@Haywood Jablome
Funny thing about free information on the net, it is often worth less than you paid for it.
Is something wrong with you?! My own family got not a drop of jewish blood and experienced firsthand German atrocities, just like tons of other people from the former USSR.
Do you know your biological parents? Obviously not. You only know what you've been told.
Sorry, my reply was originally addressed to Haywood Jablome but it seems the switchman has fallen asleep.
The only people to re-write history are the winners of wars. Sieg Heil.
Jews funded and ran the communist revolution in Russia.
Yes. It is so simple to manipulate the masses.
Social engineering is a Helluva Drug
When you look at the state of their Soviet-era tram (pictured in the article), you immediately think of regression, not evolution.
The Germans but bandera in prison - break your Jew programming and help solve the Jew problem
Republicans and Democrats are the same people, nationally speaking. Why cant they get along. If you can answer that than you can answer the Ukranian, Russian issue as well.
The Comedian supposed to be the last one to stay and then the bombing will really take off.
Call me a bleeding heart liberal but I dont see how having millions of people freeze is a good thing. The strike resources are being extended on the wrong things.
Not much. Compare it to the wholesale slaughter of civilians in Dresden, Tokyo, Coventry, not to mention the two atomics. And the world goes on.
A huge number of dead people. In terms of history, frankly not too much. On the other hand, the city still stands and can be repopulated with far less effort than if it had been razed.
Did you read John Galstky's comment about what Russia is doing? He may be wrong but it does seem quite plausible.
So? It worked.
The United States has soft power to make it seem like it's the good guy, even as it firebombs civilians.
Russia does not.
Now, Ukraine learns the hard way
It's a message to Europe. FAFO!
This perspective is common and especially if one is protected by two oceans
A lesson must be learned that will echo for generations
Would you rather be right or alive?
It's right to fear Russians is the lesson they're learning, Elena.
What is it with people on the internet and making assumptions about ppl they know nothing about
No, I dont live in north America.
I thought inserting the phrase, especially if would take the spotlight off you
I was incorrect for the record. I made no such assumption about you personally how could I that’s just silly don’t be a baby.
A great deal of the support for military operations depends heavily on those power stations. Also, because much military activity is carried on in the cities and towns rather than the fields, the Russians likely feel it is necessary to force the populated areas to be thinned out to reduce civilian casualties.
My opinion only.
I get that and have read that many times. And the AFU is trying its best to do the same in russia too.
Kiev has been a nominally functional city for the whole war. Till now. I like the city and its just a bit sad that it had to come to this
Very sad.
AFU has been lobbing bombs at Russian citizens for years before the war, Bash.
AFU ain't the Peace Corps, man. 😋
It's a personal choice to start "hating" your neighbor, because TV said so.
True, but this is basically destroying the city in a way that it doesn't have to be rebuilt. Much better than blowing it to smithereens. Easier on the population, too. You can't run from a bomb or missile.
@bemused
Buildings with running water and circulating hot water heat that freeze with water in all the pipes often DO need to be rebuilt. Especially since the majority of the big residential buildings in Kiev are over 30 years old (and the USSR built cheaply & quickly not for the ages).
If you want the war to end:
But Russia has been winning for 4 years now.
Just one more year.
Trust the plan.
😂
That there is a bridge left standing, a locomotive still functioning in Ukraine, is a testament to Russian dithering and indecision.
Ukraine is criss-crossed by rivers. Good luck getting that NATO hardware across rivers without bridges. Hint: ferries can be attacked as well.
That is so typical for Ukraine and Russia.
There were Azov soldiers buried with McDonalds boxes in their coffins a couple years ago. This was before generative AI really hit the world, and was filmed extensively, it was real.
Supply needs to be transported, and trains and cars needs fuel and electricity. So destroying electricity generation makes sense.
The only way freezing Kiev would make sense is if the Russians wanted the city to shed civilians so the RA could have a freer hand in a future siege.
Hell, as recently as 2012, when I left Ukraine, pretty much everyone in Ukraine felt otherwise.
You are a bleeding heart liberal.
😂
I read those too, being an old fart. Nickel carbonyl gas.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickel_tetracarbonyl
I assume it is intended to sap the Ukrainian population 's willingness to fight and reduce their support for Zelensky?
Is it likely to succeed? I don't know, but it's arguably more humane than killing civilians?
Had Russia taken this war seriously from the outset, a lot of people would not have had to die.
I have to agree. The soft approach failed.
I believe you are correct and that this is the message or at least one of them they’re trying to send
"insurgency" is just another cope.
The one thing every successful insurgency has is a young population. The median age in Ukraine was over 40, and that from before the war.
As you would be aware FF, Jukraine does not use it's own citizens. Fascists from all over enlist.
This.
Exactly.
@abcdedg
Minor correction re: Japanese bombing?
Not Robert McNamara for the indiscriminate/terror bombing of Japanese cities (McNamara WAS doing statistics & analysis for the US Army Air Corp though).
McNamara's WWII BOSS, *General Curtis LeMay*
committed what he himself said would have been war crimes against Japanese civil society if his side had lost.
McNamara had his turn at BBQing civilians indiscriminately with air power during Vietnam.
Carney sounded surprisingly normal

Your confidence in the Russian plan is starting to crack.
One more year should do it.
Unlike some, I don't have an opinion on Russia's planning. I don't have enough information. It is what it is though and it's their choice. My observation is that it seems to be working. The split in the Western alliance is growing. Western logistics aren't keeping up and the Empire is overextended dealing with a number of crises.
Fair enough.
My friend in Kyiv told me that they know exactly that military targets were hit, they just whine for the Western public that it was "civilian"
This is absolutely incorrect, Russia did not have the capacity to do this in 2022, it's taken a while to both ramp up missile and drone production (not to mention technological innovations) and deplete Ukrainian/Western air defenses.
Exactly this.
So that means Russia should have waited till it was ready
instead of going in not ready. That's a big f--k up.
i mean, they had years and years to have a real plan to win, not hope.
😂
Don't blame me for your low self-esteem, Yamamoto.
Dare to think big or die trying. 😂
Today is a fun day.
The fun shill with his stupid LOLs 😅
How dare you insult my Lols. LOL
Well put
That would presuppose that Russia WANTS all of Ukr....
Well, since 2014, it was obvious to anyone with as much sense as Bastet gave a kitten that war was coming.
Russia did not prepare militarily. NATO did not waste that time.
Exactly, Feral.
"Russia knew very well about the western intensifying encroachment on its boundaries for many years and it had all that time to prepare."
And of course, NATO did not waste that time. Russia still does not want to admit the truth to itself.
Believe me, none of this gives me the least joy. But the world is indifferent to what I want.
"NATO did not waste that time" - indeed, but NATO miscalculated own might
Not really. They expected Kiev to be overrun in 72 hours.
Another GM-Nuke/em protege
Better to just attack the Jew hq in occupied Palestine.
The real Jew HQ is in Switzerland, in Zurich and Basel and Geneva, with miles of shelters dug under the mountains. Rev 6:16
Few recognise the real enemy of mankind in Switzerland. It is refreshing to see someone who does.
What ??
I was made more aware of this in an Alex Krainer lecture. The sheer size of the line stretching from Kharkov to Odessa not to mention all the swarms of spooks and medical research facilities….astounding. I was following it since ‘14 but it’s clear that most people around me had no clue what was happening.
So you're saying that Russia planned the war really poorly.
Probably. But they adjusted and adapted very well.
Not really, since this war continues after four years and with no end in sight.
Pathetic. [insert relevant meme]
Apparently the only one who didn't know that Minsk-2 *also* was an obvious sham from the outset.
you're an idiot. it was trivial to do in 2022 - just take out the 4 main NPPs and Ukraine would've gone into a total blackout.
Because Russia did not have SEAD in 2022? Russia was unable to target bridges or transport infrastructure until now?
I think Russia wanted to look like a good guy till the end
Fat lot of good it did.
>Ukraine must surrender or freeze to death
But the Kremlin is not asking for an Ukrainian surrender!
What the Kremlin is asking for is for Russia to be allowed to surrender on terms that amount to something slightly less than absolute catastrophic Russian defeat.
Victory is not pursued in any way.
Most ridiculous comment to date.
What were the terms Putin put out in June 2014?
Has he put forward new terms? No, he only retreated from those.
>The longer it goes the more they demand, like they said.
Empirically not true.
Nothing more has been demanded since September 2022.
Nobody has come out officially and asked for anything beyond what was annexed back then.
The opposite in fact -- Dimitriev and Ushakov were caught in leaked talks surrendering parts of Kherson and the Zaporozhye.
Empiricaly not true? 😅😅😅. Your claims about the inminent Russian collapse.(since 2022) are solid science though. You show start a laughing night show.
yep, hard to believe he could top his previous ridiculous. Almost a gold medal effort.
Feels like they only really started going hard after the SBU (CIA condoms) decided to go after Putin's dacha.
Which is another display of pathetic weakness.
The only adequate response to that was to take out Trump. Not threaten, not do mock attacks, take him out. And then take credit for it publicly. So that no US president ever dares pull such stunts.
That wasn't done so what we will have instead is more attempts on Putin.
Not sure if that had happened as you recommend that any of us would be around to see if there were any further stunts.
Yes. when he became afraid for his own life they attacked harder.
He wasn't afraid for his own life. He wasn't there. But his family was - and that's enough to piss anyone off, don't you agree?
Yes, but what about other people's families.
Always remember Stalin's son in WWII
And compare that story to Putin's behavior
How to explain that kind of fetishism in ex Soviet Union? Those generations are most probably born much after 1991.
I think that is the main reason Putin is begging for peace. Th oligarch's wish to consume western brands freely again.
Watch the silicon chips fall where they may.
That's another front of this same war.
Does it still make sense to buy gold and silver? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question. I know very little about it. Just thinking that it cannot continue to go up?
It's up another $125 so far tonight.
We're nearing $5,000 US gold.
My gold stocks are doing great.
Winding down positions in the frenzy.
Paper gold. If you wait to cash out with real gold, you'll be lucky to ever see it
I'm highly diversified, Victor. My bases are covered.
"highly diversified" - means way too dispersed
Not sure. Your government will know and they will find a way to tax it away
Depends on the country. ID generally not needed to buy/sell at exchanges. Buy gold with cash; sell later for cash. Tax free.
I guess you haven’t heard about digital currency? It’s coming for sure as the majority of the population is ‘stupid’ and they accept bevause the government says it makes things easier and they all fall for it (the euro for instance, now people didn’t have to change money when going abroad… 1 or 2x a year🙈)
I have heard of digital currency, I do not live in a cave. And invest in crypto.
And with gold you will be hansum man maak maak.
"hansum man maak maak", sounds good, Grr.
What does it imply?
Maak Maak means very much in Thai. I assume farang has lived there as farang is the Thai noun for white person.
With gold he/anyone will be more attractive.
My wife and I have never mentioned possessing gold to anyone - even our closest family.
You did read past my first sentence, didn't you? Also, right now things are not nearly in an extremis situation. People are mostly lawful. If things get bad, that could change.
Watch what you say on the internet. Everything you say can be retrieved. Shhh.
You just told us :)
Where do you live? Asking for a friend.
Exactly! I always marvel how people who "invest in gold" are going to cash out in case shit hits the fan. My money on they'd find out the hard way that their "stashed" wherever gold trove is out of reach, and will end up selling table silver in broken pieces:-)
Personally, I'm putting it all in canned food and shotguns.
Can they afford foreign deployments in anything but a comfy base with Big Mac's and cinemas? Aren't they deploying troops to Minnesota? Perhaps closer to home the quagmire will be lessened. Where next, Los Angeles?
Wanna see gold hit $7000/oz, Russia should nuke Odessa and take that chip off the poker table for everyone.
BRICS is BICS. Most of those countries don't even trust one another or they're sycophants to the US when pressured. BRICS is hopium.
To see the Jew run empire for what it is
Keep in mind that Russian seaborne oil sales are now basically shut down, and Russia is tapping its national wealth fund at an increasing pace.
The central bank and MinFin have done yeoman's work, but they can only do so much for so long.
This 'delusional' thinking that it is going to end this year, next month, next summer, etc. etc. is all pure bullshit, there is NO END to the glorious supreme leaders mission on planet earth.
You guys keep hoping for an end that will NEVER come to fruition. Wake up mate...
Just one more year, Reyn.
Trust the plan (that was never made 😂).
And leave Ukraine alive
So we can do it all over again.
Only a million dead, but who's counting, huh?
Oh, it will end
The glorious supreme leader wanted it to be a permanent frozen conflict in Syria too.
But it did end eventually...
I agree, Putin will die of old age before this war is over.
I doubt that. Russia had not mobilized its industry as it did after the failure of the Istambul 2022 negotiations. So it did not have the means to attack the nazi regime, as it is doing now. This can only be done with plentiful weapons for attacks and plentiful in reserve.
1) It didn't need to have mobilized industry in 2022. The other side wasn't ready for a long war either, nor was there a need for a long war.
All that was needed was to go in without shackling the military, properly and with a firm resolve to finish this off quickly.
The gap in relative power between the two sides was never greater than it was in the first week of March 2022. It has been shrinking ever since
2) Whose job was it to prepare for 2022 to begin with?
Pretty much. Biden should be executed for this, whilst holding obamas hand. Execute them both.
@Alan Devincentis
Only if Bush the Lesser and Trump can be right there with them. A nice quadruple state funeral, save by buying in bulk?
The Ukrainians who are Galician nostalgia-ists or Bandera lovers are not "brothers," they are deranged Slavs who want to be Germans. These people need to be removed, just like the Sudeten Germans were removed from Czech lands, and sent to Germany. The thinned-out areas can be repopulated with genuine Slavs who are not mentally ill like the western-oriented Galicians. Freezing them out is a good start.
True on everything you said minus the last part.
Because most of the people being frozen out are not Galicians.
There was a map posted earlier today of power outages. Barely any in Western Ukraine, it's all in the Russian speaking parts.
Show us the map. This makes no sesne, Russia is bombing the shit out Kiev, not Donbass.
Kiev is a 90% Russian speaking city.
Ukrainian is really spoken only west of Zhytomyr or so.
There are no reliable polls.
Pethaps the denizens of Lviv can move to Israel, I hear they need more soldiers.
Thousands of Russian soldiers died to avoid killing Civilians.
Examples of irresponsibles.
Dont know where you are heading…
I think, we have been played for over 100 years
Wrt ww1, the USA had lended money to Britain and France and it looked like the Germans were going to win. At that point the USA entered the war.
That word "responsible" is doing a lot of work for you.
Like most other countries, Ukraine is ruled by sociopaths. They are responsible only to themselves and to nobody else.
:-)
I fully agree with this.
Unfortunately Russians would have to kill them all if they want to win.
I think. Ukrainians love this state of affairs - that the war lasts that they fight and kill the Russians. They need no victory. This is what they always wanted.
"Ukrainians love this state of affairs..."
Why Jews love Ukraine so much?
Just a little research could explain it.
If he dares try, they will parachute Boris Johnson in two dissuade him of such silliness
Boris, at that time, was merely Biden's clown messenger; now he has lost all influence.
So it is time he is punished for his crime
An assassin’s bullet would suffice, given that he has since personally profited by around £1 million, from his intervention, which halted the continuation of the early peace talks; talks that, as I understand it, were optimistic and constructive on both sides at the time.
Zion Don is the ultimate clown
But you placed mate!
The Ukrainian leaders do want Ukraine to be completely destroyed. They wish to restore a previous polity destroyed by Russians in the 10th century.
Khazaria.
Well put
The problem with socialism and capitalism is the Jew.
One track mind.
Dhdh is right. Read Culture of Critique by Kevin MacDonald. Antelope Hill is the publisher.
Mrs Thatcher said a lot of things that were untrue.
My favourite was "There is no such thing as Society" .
Arguably the West's decline in the last 50 years is because of people who ran Society as if it didn't matter.
Starmer's rabbit in the spotlight look is likely caused by visions of the three Ukranian rent boys; he knows the story will get out sooner or later.
Thatcher was quite the jew puppet. Supposedly she Brezhnev said the white countries need to work together she rebuked him for her Jew paymasters.
The Jew zelensky and the Jew run west cares not how many goyim die.
Ukraine's leaders could not care less about Ukraine.
As Yatseniuyk (one of the ministers installed by Nuland) said: "I'm not going to be living here!"
Aye, getting down to the short strokes. Now is when dangerous desperation is due from the "West." The fools are fixin to folly, and we will pay.
It was always about accuracy
Very interesting and very informative. Thank you!
Unlike in WWII, where German cities were depopulated by the simple method of killing most of the people who lived in them.
The Anglo-American fire bombing of Dresden being exhibit A.
I think Hamburg or Cologne would be exhibit A
without further information both could be correct.
The war wasn't nearly over when Dresden was bombed. Something like 750,000 Soviet troops died between the bombing and the final surrender.
Yes. The Jew way of war. Near Palestine today
Why is this mass of 600 000 people still invisible in EU?
I think that is a lie.
feel free to visit and see for yourself.
The Ukrainians in Kiev I spoke with report no such thing.
But EU parliament members and politicians do report, and they would normally hide, how can Ukrainians leave their country when Ukr. is winning the war? Besides there more than 600 thousands but not limited to Kiev, meet them in Canada, US, Britain, and more in Germany and France.
Have they reported another 600,000 refugees from Ukraine?
Klitsko has not? Is he a trustworthy Ukrainian or Russian propagandist?
Ukrainian officials say whatever serves their interests at the moment.
EU members and politicians lying?
Special accommodations for Ukrainian refugees in Germany and France overpopulated!
Clearly the Ukrainians have successfully intercepted Russian missiles and drones with critical energy infrastructure.
Well put and thanks for the info.
What "war production"? They manufacture DJI drones in Darnitsa (a Kiev district) now?
