Russia has no inventory or production problems. But I know who does.

GM's avatar
Jun 10Edited

It will have severe production problems if what just happened in the last two hours continues

NATO is not hitting barns and sheds as Putin is so proud to openly announce, they are hitting where it hurts

Desmondo's avatar

Always with the same story.

GM's avatar

And that was supposedly an actual accident.

JohnOnKaui's avatar

Do you know where Dagestan is?

It wasn't a Ukrainian drone.

It could have been an accident. (Ever hear of E. Palestine OH?)

It could have been sabotage.

If it was a US-allied action, this is an example of why Russia's choice to move slowly is correct. This is the kind of war the CIA/MI6/NED fights.

GM's avatar

Dagestan has been hit plenty with drones.

Multiple ships in Kaspiysk were hit

JohnOnKaui's avatar

My point was the damage was too extensive to have been caused by a drone. The explosion was "incident was triggered by the “depressurization” of the pipeline."

The distance from Ukraine to Kyzylyurt is nearly 1500Km which eliminates all but the long-range drone as an option and that is at its max range.

I imagine that means it is limited to a 60Kg weapon. While damage from such a payload should be extensive, up to now, the actual results in "real life" seem to be limited to oil storage tanks and buildings such as the woman's college.

I do not believe targeting from such a distance could focus on a pipeline.

In the end, the damage to the pipeline appears to be significantly greater than what was accomplished by previous attacks.

Frank Sailor's avatar

Did you read the article?

You're either bad in mathematics or you have no clue about the sheer scale of disproportional actions here.

Russia is the largest country on earth. Russia has 11 time zones, ranging from UTC+02:00 to UTC+12:00. Do you really think it makes any sense to invest billions and billions of money to even try to build an air defense that manages to protect every possible target? Ukraine has a terror regime, there is no 100% defense against terror but life goes on in Russia and the standard of living for the Russian people is steadily increasing, despite the SMO against +/- 50 countries that support Ukraine.

GM's avatar
Jun 10Edited

Where have you been in all the previous threads?

I have pointed out on countless occasions that the problem isn't air defense, but the refusal to defend the country by eliminating the source of the threat.

Right now Putin has Russia lowered to the same level as Libya, Syria, Yuguslavia, Venezuela, Panama, and all the other helpless victims the US has beaten up on.

Perhaps. if you could be bothered to elaborate on your fluffy slogans, such as "treasonous warfare", "sleepless nights", "knowing he's covered", etc.

Put some meat on your sloganeering bones.

So tell me, how is, for example, Panama similar to Russia today? Or Syria?

Because Russia is experiencing attacks within its borders? That is it? One factor gig?

Oh la la, extraordinary hyperbole day.

Oh man, you sound like a boy. One wonders what happened to you... Do you need to be cured by NGO workshops? Or you like to play the same game of targeting the press? Journalism is either paid from below, by those who want to read the news, or paid from above, by those who want others to read it.

Btw, is your comment “organic” and according to the standards?

Putin is a goy toy just like Trump. Notice he never says anything bad about Israel and totally surrounds himself with Jews. He was installed by same Jewish oligarchs who installed Yeltsin so will not cross their ambitions which is to financial capitalize the world under their control. Putin is faking a war he didnt want to start...waiting 8 years until domestic pressure got too much...then hasnt really fought SMO after pressured into it. Almost like praying for a Vietnam scenario where people tire of it and demand withdrawal. He has not gotten that yet so Russians in the trenches will continue to suffer. House to house bloody combat until troops run out or mothers demand they come home.

Russia will 100% lose this war. Putin will guarantee it.

GM's avatar

The war right now is going very similarly to the way Syria went on a strategic level.

And we know how Syria ended.

RManning's avatar

Well Russia refuses to hit operational rears of enemy or even stop the flow of weapons and fuels into Ukraine. Meanwhile Ukraine/NATO is able to hit operational rears of Russia. I dont see how Russia can win such a maths problem. It's like he's getting beat in his own war of attrition he supposedly sucked West into. It's fighting with two hands behind back on a pogo stick, West will rearm one day, at whatever leisurely pace they choose since none of it is bothered with, and crush Russia.

Married With Bears's avatar

Your comment glosses over a lot of complexity. First is that a non-trivial percentage of Israel's population has Russian citizenship - some two million people. You're more likely to hear Russian spoken on the street in Tel Aviv than you are Hebrew or Arabic. One aspect of Putin is that he is a multi-culturalist; Russia and the sphere of Russian influence would be broken if Russia devolved to ethnic nationalism.

Another is that Putin has taken actions that have had bad outcomes for others historically. He banned government employment for people with dual citizenship. That almost entirely affected Jewish Russians, and also effectively banned Jews from working in the Russian government. The reason for that is that since the fall of the Soviet Union, almost all Jewish families automatically get Israeli citizenship for their children as a safety valve. And Israeli citizenship is almost impossible to give up once you have it.

Hitler taking the same action is really the proximate cause of WWII, more than anything else. Banning Jews who entered the German government during the Weimar period (unless they were WWI combat veterans) was the act that turned western Jews against him and the Nazi government - everything that followed was a snowball from there.

Putin is a philo-Semite, but he's also a Russian nationalist.

Archie1954's avatar

Your conclusion does not mesh with the facts.

Advanced Stupid's avatar

I remember in 2018 Bibi gave a speech during May Day and literally threatened the Russian people after associating Iran as Nazi germany. Putin just smiled. That's the billionaire class for ya.

Mikey Johnson's avatar

Last time I checked, the ”terror regime” of Ukraine was live and kicking.

The leader did attend meeting in Talinn, in London and even got to rebury a WW2 Ukrainian hero Melnyk.

What use is 11 time zones if the ”terror regime” has lasted for 5 years?

Frank Sailor's avatar

The problem is that neither you or GM seem to listen to President Putin when he speaks.

It's utterly irrelevant that the Elenski figure is running around begging for money. He might does that for another five years, who cares?

In the end there is a new map of Europe and the RF has enlarged itself plus ruined the western threat due to what the Elenski figure is doing together with his current friends.

The brothers are at work for Russia for sure and Putin is among his brothers, that's why they like him a lot.

Mikey Johnson's avatar

I listen very carefully. Then I see nothing happens.

And as you admit, neither you or Kreml does care if Zelensky is with us another five years. I think Russian people will care along the cities around Volga getting targeted every day…

75DIREWOLF75's avatar

"Then I see nothing happens."

Currently, Ukraine has somewhere between 2.5 and 3 million KIAs.

Nato over 60 thousand KIAs.

While Russia even with the most excessive counting is a bit over 200 thousand.

And of that, pre-2022 Russian military losses is just around 1/3.

What do you think happens when Ukraine has no more people to mobilise?

At the same time as Russia has tripled the size of its contractsoldier based army.

They literally have TWO entire ARMIES waiting to strike in the rear, and that's BEYOND the normal reserves.

"I think Russian people will care along the cities around Volga getting targeted every day…"

Of course. But the overwhelmingly vast majority of attacks are nothing but TERRORIST attacks, and the response to that from the Russian people is GO F URSELF and keep on living.

While the attacks attempted at the actual Russian economy and military infrastructure has barely any impact at all.

2025, all those fancy attacks on refineries? 40% of the damage was fixed in less than 2 hours.

Over 70% in 2 days. And over 98% in 2 weeks.

Also it has now been confirmed that Russia refined and exported MORE in 2025 than in 2022.

All those refinery strikes, has been confirmed to have ZERO actual impact on production. And even the most extreme estimates about damage caused still puts output reduction to less than 3%.

Remember when western media crowed and cheered about the devastating, complete destruction of the oilport outside of St. Petersburg?

People actually tracking the oiltrade later confirmed that NOT EVEN A SINGLE SHIP or shipment was delayed.

Do you know what the biggest effect on Russian economy/people that all these attacks actually HAVE?

A reduction in summer tourism to Crimea.

And take note, a REDUCTION, not a discontinuation.

All of that, and the only actually large effect, is a halving of the people going to Crimea for beach summer vacation.

Feral Finster's avatar

Russia is big and hard to defend it all. That just means Russia's enemies will take advantage of this.

Tony Leibbrandt's avatar

That is why they say Russia is easy to invade but difficult to escape. Just ask Ze about Kursk..

Feral Finster's avatar

Kursk did exactly what it was intended to do - shift the narrative from Ukrainian defeat to Russian incompetence and keep the aid flowing since nobody wants to back a loser.

Tony Leibbrandt's avatar

Sure, but at what cost? 80 000 losses is the figure commonly reported. Just shows the stupidity of the aid givers if they ever considered that offensive successful.

That aside my point is that everyone, including the Russians, knows it is easy to invade Russia, it is what happens once you are in that matters. Nobody in the past 800 years has managed to take advantage.

Alyosha's avatar

Kursk was makeshift suicidal PR plan B, after mad dash to Kurchatov was repelled. By conscripts mostly, no less.

Yes, it worked on western ignorant populace for a while, but the end game was tens of thousands of casualties. This is what matters in real world, not what some EU russophobic libtard thinks is happening.

The Spectre's avatar

It's not tanks anymore, but missiles, drones.

Russia has 6 advanced missiles at early stages of production, drones are developed constantly close to front line.

But those missiles warheads are older technology, so predictable outcome.

Unfortunately we don't know anything about American wunderwaffe.

Trump mentioned them during his first presidency, claiming it's his own invention, something related to nuclear devices without classical mushroom cloud.

He again said briefly just before Iranian war has started, in January, that America has them already.

The last week on June 5th Kushner and Witkoff have visited nuclear and weapons of mass destruction Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee where they meet about 100 top scientists. Supposedly they were talking about negotiations details with Iran, how to handle these 450 kg enriched uranium.

But their subject was actually attack on Iran using America's newest nuclear technology.

Similar, but much larger devises are already build for Chinese war on Beijing, Nanjing and another mega-city. That after China will stand in Iran defence. Just 3 devices to exterminate some 80% countrie's population. Shockingly scary because there is no way to detect, defend or hide from it. Deadly radius is 300 km. It's the Tsar Bomba x10 deadly effect, but compact size, to be delivered by missiles, without need to drop directly over target from heavy bomber.

Something about radioactivity and vaporisation of human flesh without damage to any material objects. Some more advanced neutron bomb.

https://www.reuters.com/world/witkoff-kushner-meet-nuclear-experts-national-lab-tennessee-source-says-2026-06-05/

Next to ORNL is Y-12 National Security Complex, where nuclear weapons are made. They are one body, likely connected by underground passages.

As Trump claimed in 2020 interview to invent that new nuclear device, those 2 devilish Zionists are authoring nuclear provocation in Israel, to justify nuclear attack on Iran.

They were planning it for years. Now final stages.

It would be those Laboratory scientists testifying to Congress, the United Nations Security Council. before formal USA and the other countries legal entry to war, thus allowing full mobilisation.

They need to stop global economic shift towards China and BRICS.

"Documents dealing with nuclear weapons policy were reportedly among classified material recovered from Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida home, by the FBI in August."

The Pentagon long ago DEI-ed the contracting process for development of new tech and weapons. By excluding white males from bidding on or receiving contracts, the US military limited its available talent pool and has fallen behind tech advancement in countries where the entire population is considered as a resource, not just certain "types" of people.

Universities also favor certain categories of human beings in their research grants and other selected funding.

The Spectre's avatar

So the owners of those companies are not white male.

But who are employees there?

Do you suggest, that those hundreds scientists, thousands engineers and technicians at Oak Ridge are exclusively not white males? That one is federal government company, not private

Oswald's avatar

Lindsey is quite correct.

Lindsey Reed's avatar

I worked at the Pentagon as a civilian employee, but spent most of my time correcting the errors in contractors' software and bugs in fellow (DEI) workers (and the glitches in my (DEI) supervisors' attempts to do work they were unqualified to perform.)

There's 4 people doing the work of one person - the military, the civilian, who does what the military commands, the contractor, who does the actual work under the civilian overseer/liaison, and then the civilian correcting the contractor's or boss's work. A gigantic waste of money when you multiply that by 100's of thousands of "Pentagoons."

I was thinking of applying for some contracts myself as I was already a couple years ahead, tech-wise, of Pentagon computer standards. But I found out ALL of the small-business contracts were "set-aside" for minorities.

Look, the bottom line is the government needs to get out of the business of social engineering. Government needs to stop categorizing human beings and then evaluating them on the basis of their classifications.

Off topic prepared reply on NATO situation.

For Trump article 5 is not valid anymore in present military situation. He mentioned it before Iran attack, even more so after, when several countries shut their airspace for the USA bombers.

Ukrainian war is lost. Europe can continue it by themselves, with poorer outcome, then was expected earlier. They won't even be able to get any new armament contracts from the USA, the previous ones are on hold or will be outright cancelled or will be send decommissioned junk from scrapyard. Every month Europe is disarming itself. South Korea has backlog orders. Untrained Banderites are ineffective and fast losing armaments. Prices for replacement are rising, effect of energy crisis.

Americans are withdrawing 5000 troops from Germany, 1000 from East Baltics and 4500 from Poland. Those 5000 very recently promised troops to Poland will never materialise, it it just teasing. No Americans will die for Europe. Europeans will die for America and Israel's Promised Lands.

Trump is dismantling NATO. Talks behind close doors are tense, practically NATO doesn't exist as an organisation. It failed to give promised response to Oreshniks in May, as promised by Kallas, they are scared. Trump's participation in NATO summit in July in Turkey is under question. If he shows up it might be disaster for Turkey - no more promised F35's. While Erdogan knows that Trump is Epsteined by Natanyahu and by Putin (some human trafficking 20 years ago).

At some stage Turkey will be leaving after open conflict with Israel - the second strongest NATO firepower after the USA and the strongest in Europe.

Trump will try to build NATO 2, with whoever wants to play with him - mainly Scandinavians, UK, Germany, Poland. He will push them to try their luck in the Middle East, not only marine power in Hormuz and Suez Canal/Red Sea, but also ground troops in Iraq, Syria and those destroyed and left empty 15 military bases.

Moreover, Trump gives free hand to Putin in East Baltics and on the whole Eastern flank. In exchange he will take half Greenland., some Arctic and Antarctic.

Now Russia is waiting for China in Taiwan, within the next 6 months, to speed up Ukraine takeover.

First Russia will send a very strong warning to NATO with kinetic missiles at North Sea, to stop arming Ukraine. Despite, some NATO countries will introduce mobilisation and send soldiers to West Ukraine.

Oswald's avatar

Meanwhile Flamingos hit the VNIIR in Cheboksary, and this time might have taken it out. Last time it got lucky -- the missile exploded on the street. This time there are two hits, and quite likely it wasn't that lucky.

And other Flamingos kept going past the Urals so we got missile alerts in the KhMAO and the YaNAO. Lots of juicy targets there.

What else happened during the day?

The former US ambassador to Ukraine bragged about how the US is helping Ukraien strike from the Arctic to the Caucasus and to the Urals and beyond.

Peskov said that "Russia will be very happy to have a US delegation come to Moscow at any time".

The combination of those two statements means that Peskov and his boss and everyone else involved in getting Russia to this position should have been handcuffed, put on trial and executed, tomorrow. The way Nicholas II was.

But yeah, lets' talk about tank attrition.

The flamingoes aren't being launched from the Banderan territories. And that will create future problems for some of Russia's neighbors.

IT DOES NOT MATTER how much of Ukranus is destroyed when EVERY SINGLE THING they need to prosecute this war comes from the EU or USA

For FUCK'S SAKE they have said in Russia that they are "at war with all of NATO" - are they fucking ACTING LIKE THEY ARE?

NO. They have refused to strike and now the attrition is hitting them where they CANNOT simply absorb the losses. NOTHING is being attrited in the EU. NOTHING is being struck.

11 fucking timezones...SO WHAT. How many timezones in the EU have had missile hits on military production? NONE.

TheRepublicIsDead's avatar

Russia has been very busy attacking US business concerns in the Banderan territories. And then there is that Iran thing ..you know...attacking US bases.

Yeah, it kind of matters. Russia has industrial capacity and the EU is still trying to arm for war while deindustrializing.

A quick look at the KIA and POW exchange rates tells a different story than the stupid shit you Banderan symps suck on.

TJ Eastwood's avatar

jfc ANYBODY who calls bullshit on your kremlin cope is a fucking banderite?

wtf is wrong with all of you? Russia is getting hit DAILY, its people killed DAILY, NOTHING is being struck in the aggressor states. NOTHING.

Fucking US business interests!?! JFC...wow. They SURE SHOWED THE USA WHO'S BOSS, eh? They hit like ONE or TWO business affiliated with US onshore corporations and it's like busy hitting "US business interests" writ large.

Idiot, has nobody told you that the numbers of deaths are NOT RELEVANT? They don't MATTER and neither does territory- the drone attacks are GROWING into RF and they will CONTINUE to grow. RF cannot defend itself against them forever

TheRepublicIsDead's avatar

You got one thing right, taking territory doesn't matter. The primary goal is to destroy the Banderan army and NATO's ability to supply it.

Yeah...drone attacks...increasing...winning .. with miniature warheads on them. Not so destructive. The Oreshnik however...

And then there is still that POW/KIA exchange rate problem the Banderans have.

There is no shortage of Banderan analysts that recognize there is a serious manpower problem in the Banderan territories. Drone strikes on oil storage tanks isn't going to change the outcome of attrition.

So tell me again, why did BlackRock write off several billion dollars in the Banderan territories? It's almost like Larry Fink believes the place is uninvestable or sumpthun.

TJ Eastwood's avatar

the Oreshnik? lol...where is the BDA? They took a superweapon and turned it into an afterthought.

Bc the west realizes they are TOO CHICKENSHIT to actually use it for what it is made for.

POW/KIA- nobody fucking cares dude...do you SERIOUSLY believe that the judeocons give a flying rat's ass about the slavs that get killed in this proxy war? Freaking manpower problems are IRRELEVANT. The RF Army, despite these supposed manpower problems in AFU advances BARELY if at all and in some cases loses territory to counterattacks. I don't give a shit about Blackrock ju "investments", get it?

Russia cannot continue to lose infrastructure at an increasing rate. The drones DO NOT CARE about territory

TheRepublicIsDead's avatar

The evidence for the first two Oreshnik strikes is in; unusable underground factories. And yes, it is being used exactly for what it was designed for.

Of course the Epstein Class that you support doesn't care about casualties you fucking moron. That doesn't change the fact that the Banderans are going to run out of men and NATO is running out of the materiél to support the army. No Banderan men, no defense and no counter-attacks.

You are the typica ignorant Epstein Class supporter, a few fireballs and lots of smoke from a few burning oil storage tanks means heavy damage to Russian infrastructure.

The Banderan territories primary purpose is to be used as a giant laundromat. It's secondary purpose is to be used as a platform to attack Russia. The third purpose is to be thoroughly looted. The Epstein Class (whom you admire) can't loot the Banderans when the best parts of the territories are already under Russian control. BlackRock has no reason to stay "investing".

Let me help you out; Russia is going to continue the debellation of the Ukraine. Only the most western Oblasts will be left and they will be occupied by Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland's "peace-keeping" forces.

The Banderan capital will be in Lviv, well protected by Poland. Can't say the same for the three insignificant Baltic states.

I might be getting older but I am still mesmerized by the T-34. It was a very effective, easy to manufacture item until they sent them off with the auxiliary diesel fuel tanks. With a few rifle rounds the diesel tank was punctured, the fuel started to flow down to the ground and from that moment all was needed a single Molotov cocktail to send the crew to Heaven, And that was a rather painful trip.

John Osman's avatar

That must be why the Soviets lost World War 2 then?

Kennewick Man's avatar

Although they were declared winners at the end of WWII they were actually self-designated losers because of the absurd social order they hanged themselves with. Fully centrally organized economies cannot sustain a complex, large industrial state and this was properly illustrated after the war. China learned from the Soviet example and gradually walked away from full central control of the economy.

Frank Sailor's avatar

Complete BS. No other country has managed and industrialization in such a short time and such degree like the USSR. Despite being invaded and strangled by 8 foreign intervention powers including the USA and an inner counterrevolution scum that they have not round up effectively enough as showed after 70 years.

werner hillinger's avatar

Nice story. But I have never heard of Germans using Molotvo cocktails. The Problem in the Soviet Union was quality. The 12V diesel engine was a great invention, sadly the quality was so bad, that they typically were gone after one attack. They even invented a special medal for drivers, that kept the engine for some hundret KM alive.

PFC Billy's avatar

Germans had plenty of AT guns initially, then the Faustpatrone & etc., the Molotov cocktail was a Finnish winter war mixed drink usually served to accompany a T-26 flambe.

Michael Lynch's avatar

Fair point on the Molotov cocktail.

But I think the German AT point deserves more precision.

The Germans absolutely had antitank guns at the start of Barbarossa. The problem was that “plenty” does not mean “plenty of the right guns.” Much of what they had was suited mainly for older Soviet armor, not the T-34s and KVs that exposed the gap. The 37mm PaK 36 was common and still useful against BTs, T-26s, armored cars, and the like, but against newer Soviet armor it was badly outclassed. The 50mm PaK 38 helped, but it was not yet everywhere, and it still was not a reliable answer to everything the Soviets had in the field.

That is also why the Germans leaned heavily on a hodgepodge of captured Czech and French antitank guns early on. Some were useful, especially compared with the PaK 36, but pressing captured guns into service only proves the point. They were making do. And making do meant different ammunition, different spare parts, different carriages, different sights, different training requirements, and a supply system already being stretched thin across the Soviet Union.

That is why the 88mm FlaK became so important in the early antitank role. Not because Germany had no AT guns, but because their standard AT guns were not enough for the T-34/KV-1 problem suddenly in front of them. The PaK 40 finally gave them the gun they needed, becoming the main German AT gun from 1942 onward.

The Panzerfaust did not enter service until 1943, too late for the opening phase of Barbarossa. So it really was not a factor until later.

werner hillinger's avatar

The same story as with the drones, no one could forsee that the tanks will get this massive, except the armchair generals. Hitler himself ordered that the tanks should get the 50mm, because he, as a civilian, could see much better into the future of military technoligy than the well trained army officer corps. Of course, the army ignored the "Führer" and built the tanks with the 37mm, leading to exactly the results you described in France and later in the USSR.

Michael Lynch's avatar

And this was not a problem unique to the German Army and military leadership. The USAAC "Bomber Mafia" labored under similar delusions. And, as usual, the soldiers in the field and in the air paid the ultimate price.

ThermalVision's avatar

It's not so much that Russia has run out of T-72Bs to modernize into T-72B3Ms, but that the only advantage a T-72B3M built from a T-72B would have over a T-72B3M built from a T-72A (and both are designated "T-72B3M") is KE (kinetic energy) protection, which would be protection from solid metal armor piercing shells fired by other tanks, as the CE/cumulative protection of the baseline T-72B sans Kontakt-1 and T-72A are pretty similar, with any gap being closed entirely by the fact that the T-72B3Ms made from T-72As use Relikt instead of the standard Kontakt-5 on the turret, so continuing to use T-72Bs against Ukraine with its extremely depleted armored vehicle stockpiles is very wasteful, even if at bare minimum 5000 T-72Bs were made (or about double the amount of Russian tanks of all models and variants Ukrainian propagandists claim have been destroyed in all of 2022-2025 achieved through counting the same tank wrecks at least three separate times) and likely far more than that, even. It's just more cost-effective to use T-72As for this war where KE protection is basically irrelevant than T-72Bs, and this also saves T-72Bs for future wars where KE protection will be more important.

Jesterus The Catificator's avatar

On the other hand, Russia is practically going to end up with a reserve fleet made of modernized T-72s instead of T-62s or T-55s or whatever.

The Saudi-Ukraine integration of Ukrainian drone expertise was a PR flourish that was quickly wound up once it failed to generate (at the very least, Saudi) takers for a shed load of rubbish debt yet to be floated because there are no takers- no market for this stuff, Germany already having had to bail out a bucket of bad debt it missold (that was what the unilateral 20 billion bung was for, and to keep Ukraine momentarily afloat.)

Without cast iron guarantees from backers with the dosh, to underwrite the rubbish paper, guarantees that will survive any legal challenge- not the promise of Russian reparations, seized assets, blah- the funding of Ukraine is about to go down the tubes. Once western europe stops paying pensions salaries etc it will all be over. Why the hell would Russia suddenly escalate to the point at which the US might be dragged in and some settlement imposed by a panicking international community, when it can just grind on to the point at which it will take Keeev, hold elections and embrace all Ukraine in the RF fold. Nobody but propagandists who think their audience is full of morons said the above. Not Russia and not anybody with the slightest iota of knowledge about Ukraine, Ukraine's infrastructure, basic physics, economics, the Nazi regime, geography, and all those absolutely routine areas of knowledge that are totally opaque to morons.

"For the record I don't consume western media- i get my info on strikes from RUSSIAN CHANNELS, mfers."

That you get your "info" from what you think are Russian channels doesn't in the least indicate that either a) those channels are really Russian and not Kiev regime or Western fakery posing as Russian, b) that the channels you read are accurate or c) that you have the cognitive capacity to understand accurately what they say.

Russia is an extremely diverse country and, just like the West, Internet in Russia draws the deluded and deranged like drunks to free booze. For many centuries there has been a very strong contingent of people in Russia who believe in absolute nonsense, like alternative history (Atlantis was a real thing), the most extreme and stupid fake science and so on.

So there are endless channels in Russia that prey on gullible fools, and that includes endless channels in Russia that prey on people who are abject fools when it comes to any military topic in general and the conflict in Ukraine specifically.

And then there are all the Westerners, bereft of education and often intelligence to boot, who read even the accurate Russian channels and come away with an "understanding" that's diametrically opposite to what was written.

So no, nobody with real intelligence, experience and insight into what's going on expected people in Ukraine to "freeze to fucking death." That was a Western propaganda-for-morons meme, and you seem to have picked up on it. Doh.

John Galtsky's avatar

I see your strategy when somebody points out that you've told a lie is to try to change the subject.

No, that doesn't work with people who are not morons. You lied when you said "the funding is showing no signs of slowing or disappearing." I correctly pointed out that you lied.

That's a very different matter than whether the Kiev regime's society has or has not collapsed, or to what degree it is headed for collapse. In point of fact, it has not collapsed, but it is headed for collapse, a simple consequence of not being able to produce enough to sustain the Nazi society at the same time it has no hope of stemming continued Russian advances and systematic dismantlement of their war infrastructure, all while its cobelligerents (the US and various US stooges) run out of the resources they need to keep fighting Russia in Ukraine.

Lone suicide bombers brought down the twin towers. Ukraine can continue to take pot shots at Russia until western europe drops its support, which is coming sooner than folks think. Norwegian's avatar

The twin towers were not brought down by 'lone suicide bombers'. The twin towers were large steel frame structures and you cannot turn such buildings to dust by flying aluminium tubes into them. The twin towers were brought down by small nuclear charges pre-positioned in the basements.

I can't engage with a species of the 'it was all dream' argument.

In the UK we have had apparently awful terrorist attacks. Such attacks do not predicate a source capable of defeating the victim state in a war.

Norwegian's avatar

There is no dream. The planes were real but had nothing to do with the tower downfalls. We have had terrorist attacks in Norway as well (22. July 2011), 68 young labour party politicians were killed after they advocated boycott of Israel. I leave it to you to put 2 and 2 together.

I imagine the same could be said here.

Jullianne's avatar

What are you wanting to argue? That the Russians are drone bombing themselves??

Of course not.

let's just quit the conspiracy thicket for the bottom line, which is that ASSUMING any terrorist attack is real, it does not predicate an ability to win a face-on war. Quite the opposite, in fact. That was my point.

Norwegian's avatar

I am just correction your erroneous statements about historical events, which had nothing to do with Russians, but a lot to do with Israel.

Jullianne's avatar

But the twin towers event happened. The rest is speculation, at east at your end, not some sort of historical record. There are differing accounts of who did what, but that is not a mystery thicket we want to beat around in. It serves no purpose in terms of my argument, which is that terrorist successes by Ukraine (assuming the hype matches the reality- which is your field, Norwegian!) cannot stand as evidence of their likely superiority in the actual war such that they are worth backing financially which is what this show is really all about.

I'm not sure about the nuclear charges, but I agree that airliners can't possibly bring down reinforced concrete buildings. I suspect controlled demolition techniques were used instead. Many years ago I've read something about thermite being used to cut steel beams, but I'm no expert in this subject.

Bob Boson's avatar

Quite. They especially could not bring down a building that they didn't hit, a la WTC 7. The one that just happened to come down at free fall speed into it's own footprint, looking exactly like a controlled demolition, and even had the BBC reporting on it's demise a full 20 minutes before it happened.

TJ Eastwood's avatar

WTC7 may have been brought down in an orderly manner...sure. WTC1 and 2 were anything but orderly

Hans Kloss's avatar

If you are not an expert you can become one - it is a matter of time and will.

The planes themselves did not bring anything down as the towers stood after impact.

A plausible explanation is that the towers collapsed after the fire burnt for a while making the rebars lose huge part of their strength - the water was cut off by the impact so there was no extinguishing of fire and no cooling of rebars.

Building 7 took longer because its rebars were still insulated. The lack of water was caused here by the collapsing towers not the planes.

This is a short version without details.

There can be other explanations but I find this to be most convincing.

As for who organized or rather facilitated the attacks we may never know for sure but 5 dancing Mossad agents were arrested and later released. They may but don't have to have had anything to do with it. I personally think they had but I have no clear explanation for that other than it is very plausible and fits within the paradigm of USS Liberty attack years before.

John Galtsky's avatar

The twin towers weren't reinforced concrete buildings. They were lattices of steel I-beams that were coated with thin sheets of glass and metal as an exterior facade.

What brought them down was their own weight: fly an airliner full of fuel into a building like that and you start a huge, fuel-driven fire. Steel I-beams lose a lot of strength when they heat up. In a fire like that they lose enough strength that the load bearing columns in the region of the fire fail, becoming unable to support the weight of floors above them.

Those higher floors come pancaking down as the many, many videos of the towers collapsing showed. It's an absolutely classic, well-known engineering phenomenon that's not the least bit complex.

TJ Eastwood's avatar

jfc how much MORE ignorant can you people be?

1- the WTC was NOT reinforced concrete.

2- airliners CAN and DID bring down these towers. But not in the way you think. Engineers from NIST did metallurgical analysis of truss joints from the towers around the impact points and found very interesting things.

It is THIS that is responsible for the fucking secrecy- it's a systemic flaw in ALL non-reinforced concrete building construction. Gypsum wallboard is the #3 by weight material in high rises and it has a habit of emitting massive amounts of chlorine while burning in a reducing environment. This gas attacks metals and causes rapid structural weakening. Should a fire or explosion remove the fireproofing from the metal structure, you have a serious incipient problem.

Why is this so hush? Because this shit, along with PVC cabling which behaves the same way, is EVERYWHERE and cannot be substituted or removed.

"Radioactive fallout refers to residual radioactive material propelled into the atmosphere by a nuclear explosion or accident, which then settles back to Earth. In contrast, nano-thermite (or super-thermite) is a highly reactive explosive composed of aluminum and iron oxide nanoparticles, which generates intense heat but does not produce radioactive material."

John Galtsky's avatar

Nano-thermite, you nano-brain, releases energy at the chemical level when it burns, not nuclear energy which is hundreds of thousands of times greater.

By God, Westerners have become such total imbeciles when it comes to basic science.

Opport Knocks's avatar

Right, there were no nuclear reactions at the WTC to emit radiation. Nano-thermite was used to cut the lower I-beams.

Which was the point of my copy-pasted quote, in response to the errors above it.

John Galtsky's avatar

The "point" of whatever you intended by posting a completely nonsense and off-context quote doesn't exist in the context of the downing of the twin towers. A nuclear explosion releases far more energy than chemical reactions (which is what power chemical explosions or burning phenomena, as anybody who is not a moron or not woefully ignorant about basic science knows). There wasn't any nuclear explosion at the twin towers.

What happened was captured on thousands of videos: commercial airliners loaded with many tons of aviation fuel impacted the twin towers, releasing those many tons of aviation fuels as propellants for truly epic and hot fires in the structures. As everybody who is not a total technical ignoramus would expect, the temperatures that those fires achieved far exceeded the relatively low temperatures at which the steel in the I beams that supported the twin towers became too weak to bear the loads upon them.

The pancake collapse of the twin towers is precisely the expected outcome of such weakening. This is like a kindergarten level thinking exercise for any competent structural engineer.

By the way, for the smarter readers who might read this, it's interesting to note that the very low temperature (relatively speaking) at which the steel in I beams weakens is precisely the reason that steel I beams used in modern construction are sprayed with thermal insulation. That used to be asbestos based insulation but in modern times other materials are used. That thin layer helps protect an I beam from a local fire, such as might occur within a particular office.

But that thin layer has no hope of protecting I beams from a fire propelled by many tons of aviation fuel. Such a conflagration will weaken I beams throughout most of a floor as well as two or three floors above. The moment those airliners hit the towers and the fuel in them ignited, those towers were doomed. Ah, it also didn't help that the kinetic impact from the airframe and heavy elements like the engines, landing gear, and other heavy and strong structure also took out a few I beams on the way to losing their kinetic energy.

Anybody who tells you the twin towers weren't brought down by airliner impacts, just take out your little black book where you keep a list of people who are total cretins whose opinions you should ignore and add their name to the list.

TJ Eastwood's avatar

oh jesus fucking christ, STFU

With given physical limitation, I can see no way for a mobile system. The energy needed is far beyonde the power output of a tank engine. If you start using capacitors (the needed discharge time forbids batteries), then most of a vehicle's interior is used for electric components. Maybe for protection of fixed installations or ships a solution is feasable.

PFC Billy's avatar

@werner hillinger

Explosively driven EMP devices are a real world "thing". They don't require a whole tank hull full of capacitors either- Main issues, such devices are single use and likely to be as hard on a tank deploying them as the incoming weapon system.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explosively_pumped_flux_compression_generator

Now, LASERs really do need quite the electrical supply- Or very reactive chemicals that don't play nice with human biology if the tank gets punctured.

The day we figure out how to store (and deliver in microseconds without wrecking storage device) electrical energy equivalent to a battery/capacitor volume of double based propellant is the day we get our rayguns.

You say Russia pays while we are “forced” into debt. That’s another way of saying Russia is losing actual money while someone else is paying the US’s bills. And who would that be paying? Well, pretty much everybody who owns dollars, including numerous members of BRICS. Preserving the dollar’s power has been an urgent issue for China for forty years.

You say regimes are about to change in Europe. Like the US, no real choices are being offered to Europeans. The political elites are firmly in charge, and there is no end in sight. The names will change, but the policies will not.

If you think Ukraine is being denazified, you aren’t paying attention. Wasn’t it just this week that they glorified some of their genocidal/nazi past and annoyed Poland so much (to no effect, obviously).

Did you happen to notice this article? https://substack.com/home/post/p-201423428? trouble in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Russia is being encircled and is grave danger. Hard to believe anybody still thinks Putin is the man for the job.

Don’t mistake this for a prowestern stance. I fully agree that the US is immiserating not only its own people but most of the people around the world. As much as anything, this is a class war being waged by the elites against the working classes and we the people are getting our asses kicked. But part of the plan is to fully neutralize Russia, and it’s well underway.

Ukraine will never surrender. As I read the tea leaves it will be Russia that does something comparable to surrender, which in my book is anything less than the elimination of Ukraine as a state. I’ll consider your prognostication right if Ukraine surrenders unconditionally, recognizes Russian sovereignty over the new territories, installs a Russia-friendly government, demilitarizes and stops celebrating its nazi past. But it will never happen.

Frank Sailor's avatar

I agree with your class war characterization. With your conclusion I respectfully disagree. Ukraine has nothing to recognize, Ukraine is non existing when Russia is done with the Nazi's there.

The rest of Europe has neither the means nor the capacity to neutralize Russia. Poor on energy and other basic resources, a dumbed down population that can't have trains go on time, Bridges that are near collapsing etc. Talking big is not doing big. Starmer, Macron and Merz are on their way out. The population is despite daily propaganda not willing to go to war. Belgium as host land of NATO and EU sees USA as a greater threat than China, by 64% of the people. Germany can't get it's recruits to the Army and all(!) submarines of the UK are in port due to maintenance. Just saying.

Elena Newton's avatar

So we have our bet, then. You say Russia will mostly destroy Ukraine if not completely; I say it will be Russia that blinks and will sign a peace deal that leave Ukraine in shape (and disposition) to attack again. I would even guess that it will happen within the next year or two, and that Putin will find a way to give Trump credit for the whole thing.

Frank Sailor's avatar

Why you are so keen on betting? Do you see this as a sport contest? Why are you trying to narrow it down to Russia and Ukraine, despite knowing very well that we're talking geo politics here and Russia is fighting not Ukraine but all of NATO plus some other boot lickers of the empire? I don't know what the future holds. I know that Russia will not stop before it has reached it's declared objectives of the SMO. When and how, I can't tell.

Elena Newton's avatar

As I have said many times, I make a bet to establish objective facts. Most of the people commenting here can never make a prediction because to do so would be to have to look at actual facts and, when the bet is wrong, to RE-look at those facts in light of the new information. It would interject some integrity into a commentary very sorely lacking in integrity. But bet or not, you have committed to a prediction, a knowledge you say, that Russia will not stop till it has reached its declared objectives. I say it will stop before then. Of course Putin will declare victory, and probably so will you, so let’s establish some objective parameters, though Putin couldn’t really bring himself to do that.

I’ll say you’re right if Ukraine commits by treaty not to join NATO and to remain neutral, if it submits to a military under 100,000, if it recognizes de jure Russia’s sovereignty over the disputed territories, including Crimea, and if it replaces the current regime with a neutral or Russia-friendly government and reverses its recent laws glorifying Banderites and oppressing Russians, various religions, and pro-Russian politicians. Would you say that’s an accurate characterization of Putin’s goals for the SMO? If the other objectives are met in good faith I won’t quibble over size of the military since, presumably, it will have been denazified.

It’s never going to happen as far as the eye can see.

GM's avatar

>You say Russia pays while we are “forced” into debt. That’s another way of saying Russia is losing actual money while someone else is paying the US’s bills

"Debts" are a problem for the debtor only as long as the creditor has the physical ability to enforce payment.

If you loan money to someone who is much stronger than you and you have no way to enforce payment, that someone is not going into debt to you, he is robbing you.

Venezuela was a demo -- the same will happen to the whole world eventually, i.e. the US will just take over and rob everything they need without paying. That includes unilaterally canceling its debts while demanding continued supplies of real goods to the US.

Frank Sailor's avatar

You forget that we are past that unilateral moment were the USA can impose its will onto other countries with impunity.

You are arguing on assumptions that bare no reality anymore.

That approach might work today at Venezuela and Cuba but not with Russia, let alone China.

If the US debt is no problem, why are they in panic and pressure their 'allies' to give 5% of GDP to NATO? Because it is a ridiculous ponzi scheme, nothing has come out of it so far. Even inside the USA people get louder and say this debt is unsustainable because in the end, there is no one left to loan you a dime anymore and thus you don't have the money to deploy your military to rob others blind.

The best example is Germany: with an extraordinary credit of 100 milliard € to improve the Bundeswehr, now 4 years later the money has gone and they got nothing to show for it. That's how it works in capitalism. Legal corruption and money for work that's not been done or delayed for years due to 'unexpected circumstances', price hikes etc.

GM's avatar

>You forget that we are past that unilateral moment were the USA can impose its will onto other countries with impunity.

>You are arguing on assumptions that bare no reality anymore.

>That approach might work today at Venezuela and Cuba but not with Russia, let alone China.

I am not sure we are watching the same events.

I am seeing the US more unhinged than ever and the world cowering in fear more than ever. Russia included. To the point of Putin trying to bail out of the situation by proposing to the Americans to go back to the 90s and hand them some 14 trillion.

BTW, Dmitriev is meeting with Kushner and Witkoff today again.

Iran, Hezbollah, the Houthis and comrade Kim are the only ones standing defiant. We will see about Cuba soon I am afraid, maybe they will fight too. Nobody else is.

Frank Sailor's avatar

>>I am not sure we are watching the same events.<< Right!

I rest my case.

Elena Newton's avatar

I don’t disagree with this, but I do think the bill will eventually come due at a time when the US no longer has the capacity to rob. Who can say when that will be, though? I thought the game was nearly up in 1999.

It boggles my mind how casually the people reading this page take all of that while Russia takes no action whatever to punish the people behind it. But we'll see: I've made my bet with Frank Sailor: Ukraine will never surrender, and it will be Putin who eventually does what amounts to that. An interesting article full of crap.

Yes, the US is trying to set up a soft-under belly to attack Russia through Dagestan and Georgia. The NED is still very good at setting up stooges to carry out this mission. However, Kazakhstan lies between Russia and China with Iran to the south. Yes, Erdogan has a fantasy dream of extending the Turkish empire across all the other Turkish states. But, he is also being threatened by Israel.

Let us not forget the failure of the 2022 Kazakhstan coup. Who ya gonna call? Russia to the rescue. The shoot-to-kill orders may have resulted from the failure of Yanucovych to respond to protestors during the Maidan coup. Krapivnik is especially critical of that failure. Escobar covered the coup in detail when it happened.

I'm not saying it won't happen. I don't know Korybko and how reliable he is. I am saying it is unlikely. The ChinArb papers that talk about supply chains vs military power very much argue that the CIA/MI6/NED infiltrations aren't going to bear much fruit any longer.

Picking at random, the story about the mining interests the US signed to gain access to rare earths... ROTFL. Every other week the Oligarchy is telling us that they've made contracts for rare earths and other resources needed to supply the MIC, only to have Walmsley show, once again, that China is in control. It is going to take a decade for the US to gain access, and China will have already destroyed the US MIC in the mean time.

Simplicius long ago should have done an in-depth analysis on Ukrainian in-place defensive works. Why are they so effective that they have slowed Russian advances down to a crawl, while being manned by unwilling recruits who are forced to the front with only a few weeks training? Such defensive emplacements seem to be even more effective than the massive ones Germany built during WWII.

Mikey Johnson's avatar

Agree. It is a dog rottening somewhere…

Yoni Reinón's avatar

Maybe Starlink? They also send platoons of meat recruits to hold tree lines and millions of trenches which they replenish by drones. They also have an enormous production of European manufactured and pilotted from Germany, the Baltics, Roumania and Poland drones and UAVs. These operators cannot be destroyed and can give support to the first cannon fodder and mercenary lines, the Azov second line sniper executioners and the AFU third line being thee commanding posts far in the forth line. Starlink makes possible the coordination of the system. But yeah, the Russian disruption of the Ukranian logistics has been a failure. Only now are they bombing the gas stations and the bridges near Odessa.

Vlad's avatar

They are not effective. The UAF is losing 20 to 1 at this point. Were the russians to move faster, they would be effective, but the russians would only be winning 3 to 1. People will be very suprised when the war ends and sees the actual exchange rate. In the afghan war the West overestimated russian casualties by a factor of 7(18k actual vs 120k western doom estimate).

Mikey Johnson's avatar

I think those times when Simplicius can turn facts on Russian losses, to signs of impending victory, are over.

I dont know what to do with these numbers and pro-uki articles. Are we in the middle of denial phase?

Fact 1: Russia lost 8000+ vehicles during the first year (2022) which is basically a defeat. All those AT and Atgm gutted the SMO.

Fact 2: Russia lost another 5000+ during 2024 when Ukraine mastered the Drones.

Fact 3: 18 000 lost vehicles is monumental. But Russia still standing. So are Ukraine.

So what good is it that Russia now have 1000nd of new and refurbished tanks prepared to strike? They will go nowhere.

The dispersion and infiltration tactics is also dead. Drone density is to much for single soldiers to bear. Both Russian and Ukrainian military experts says that manouver operations are impossible. Therefore Ukraine is focused on devastate the supply routes to Crimea and to the different fronts with drones.

It could be that Russias is exterminating Ukrainian lines with KABs and FABs and they are for sure pressing into Konstantinovka. But winning the War?

Frank Sailor's avatar

>>...and they are for sure pressing into Konstantinovka. But winning the War?<<

They're not pressing into Konstantinovka, they control more than 75% of it already and Ukraine has now announced the forced evacuation of Slawjansk and Kramatorsk. https://de-rtnews.com/international/131481-liveticker-ukraine-krieg/

That doesn't sound like Russia is losing the war to me.

Ukraine is not standing, Ukraine is staggering from one corner to the other in the futile attempt to make it look like it is still standing.

Alyosha's avatar

Drop it, Frank. He will repeat it over and over again. What a sad, whining comments section has this become.

Oh sorry Alexei!

Forgot that we should praise Simplicius in his wisdom.

We should chant ”We shall overcome” and swallow all this gaslightning.

Its a waste of time for me.

Alyosha's avatar

What crap is this, Mikey? you achieve victory when you achieve your goals.

For example, Mikey - liberation of Donbass, that is one goal. It is still underway, so saying today there is no victory is crap.

And do not project your pensioner juvenile senility onto others - praising some blogger or something. I extended my subscription this year because of the comments section, not the content, but I guess it was a mistake.

Victory might arrive only after Tschermani is glassed, because of them incorrigible Nazi posterity scum with ancestral butthurt.

Fine with me.

Mikey Johnson's avatar

Ah, so your final solution for a Russian victory is extermination of Germany?

So the root causes in UK and Brussel is no problems then?

You are fully ignorant of the facts that most germans dont support Merz and the other Warmongers.

In what way will the ”liberation” of Donbass secure a victory in the War?

Explain it for a senile.

Alyosha's avatar

Well, Tschermani is very involved in trying to bring Russia to its knees and balkanize it. Annihilate Russia.

So, where are you peaceniks? I asked you the other day. Where are you? Show me some video. Everybody too old and cant walk anymore?

It is a reply to your constant urging of doing something serious with Ukraine. No, no, no, no, Mikey. UA is just a tool. You want serious stuff? Glassing Tschermani and Anglos. Yes, UK the first among Anglos. If it comes to that, Poland and Romania will have to be trashed as well, because of their imbecilic decisions to install Aegis Ashore that is not even under their control.

I hope it does not come to this, but you want some serious solutions. So here you have it. Be careful what you wish for.

Liberation of Donbass is a step towards the victory, there are other goals. Just because you think something should be done faster or some clown should be boinked does not make it essential in this enterprise.

Mikey Johnson's avatar

This is the key with you:

” I extended my subscription this year because of the comments section, not the content”

For me it is the other way around. Content is the most important.

Insightful, critical thinking and new perspectives in the comments is a big bonus.

But comment section is now destroyed by trolls or people fueling their hatred by nasty comments.

Alyosha's avatar

It used to be like this in 2022, 2023. Now i get most of the info here directly from the sources, in advance. So it does not really matter, therefore comments are what I am here for, mostly.

One positive, or "positive", aspect is that I do not have to read Western MSM myself. Simp covers it. Most of the time it is crap anyway.

Like this jewel: " Clearly they are thinking in the long run"

Wow, Orcs thinking long term. Imagine that.

Mikey Johnson's avatar

Taking one or two cities is NOT winning the War (By the way, you know Kreml still speak of a special military operation - in their minds there is no War going on).

To ”free” Donetsk Oblast after 5 years battling is NOT winning the War. Its only one objective Kreml has put on their shortlist.

The SMO objectives is not adressing the root causes. If Ukraine is led by a ”terror regime” - how come they are still breathing?

Yes, Ukarine is staggering and Russia still has stamina and muscles. But of what use if they dont go for KO? There will be no judges declaring a point victory for Russia one decade from now (you did read the previous article?)

And as usual, you are not commenting what I wrote about the facts. You duck. You close your eyes and make wishes.

GM's avatar

The key objective of the SMO was no missiles in Ukraine hitting Russia.

Well, this night alone, from 10 pm to 7 am, the drones shot down were 326, and that does not count the "new regions", nor does it count the drones that were not shot down, two Flamingos hit one of the most sensitive industrial sites in all of Russia, and this time hit it straight on, there are photos of the destroyed buildings circulating already, and other Flamingos flew past the Urals and a missile attack alert was raised in Omsk, for the first time in history.

The SMO is a catastrophic failure if that is the new normal

And it is the new normal, with no end in sight.

Alyosha's avatar

SMO is still underway.

The drone wars are new. What's happening between Russia and Ukraine will eventually happen all across the planet. Drone wars will be exported everywhere. Hezbollah is already entering the FPV drone game. It's only going to spread... Chip

Per Kots details the Ukrainian strategy of occupation of Crimea by cutting all logistical support and recent full attack on kertch bridge and openly speaks of collapse. Supposedly fuel all but gone on Crimea. These are pro russian milbloggers.

This blog is sounding more and more like a feel good space for russia russia snowflakes rather than objective breakdown of relevant facts and trends. Its unfortunate as all the propaganda and spinning is becoming tiring and waste of time and you end up shutting all analyses down and waiting for undeniable reality to settle in.

Mikey Johnson's avatar

Agree. People cant see clearly. Sad development.

werner hillinger's avatar

The Russian blogger sphere is always seeing the end of the world, the very moment the Ukrainian side starts something. I can remember the Kursk attack. The Ukrainians were soooo successful (storming over a few conscripted soldiers), next stop Moskow. At the end, the losses for Ukraine were horrible and nothing was achieved. In Kupiansk the Ukrainians recaptured the city. We saw ill-trained forces with bad leaders stumbling somewhere in the town. The Russian mappers showed the "gains" of the Ukrainians, even Simplicius made jokes about the Guards Army, the soft Moskow boys. But suddenly, the Russians were somehow found in the parts that Ukraine had obviously captured? How many times did the Soviets run out of supplies in WWII? And the mighty US had to stop in Eastern France because they were out of fuel. Did this change the outcome?

Wiener Blut's avatar

Its less about seeing the end of the world but realizing the total lack of preparation, honor and coherence, the open display of impotence, corruption and cynicism of their current regime. The russian people has a hard time rising beyond an all encompassing lethargy and passivity. Putting up with such deadbeat characters as yeltsin and putin seems to fulfill a need for passive suffering in the russian soul.

To me the actual Russian government is doing a good job, not perfect, but only God is perfect! The 2022 Kyiv strategic objective was successfully achieved by the general staff, but the political elite got the situation wrong, but again, who is perfect? The SMO is fought with gloves on, and that is much better than the slaughter of civilians that we see in USA/Israel wars. The new drone warfare was not foreseen by anybody in charge, of course, except the armchair generals. The economic politics look like the USA in WWII; to me, Morgenthau did a great job, as Nabulina/Siluanov are doing right now. Even if the SMO does not achieve all the goals, Russia will end the conflict stronger than ever.

Charles T Maguire's avatar

Certainly morgenthau succeeded in germany¡ a few more years and its devolved to a lovely cow pasture and neutered zombie landia, wonderful!

What did they achieve in kyiv exactly?

What is nabulina achieving in russia except conditioning it as an expropriation/usury base for her Basel sugardaddies?

Putin let his kgb goons loot and rot the army for 20 years then decide to play the strong man with a shell. Genius!

werner hillinger's avatar

First, we are not talking about Morgenthau and Germany, but his role in the Roosevelt adminstration. Do you know anything about his policies? If yes and you see this positive, then please explain what the current Russian administration is doing wrong.

Selling out your country to the davos and Basel overlords is easy. The hard path would be independence and a Russian revival and only a once a hundred year genius might have a shot at it. No hay ahora

Alyosha's avatar

Dude, expropriation base is obsolete trope.

Nabiulina has insulated Russia very well, not only now but since 2014, when first sanctions from hell were imposed, after the shooting down of MH17.

There is no case in history when country was subjected to this kind of full spectrum warfare with 40k sanctions, yet Russia is doing just fine. Is it all eprfect? No it is not, but those who say they would do things differently that would work better, they are just theorizing as of now.

Maybe it would work, maybe it would not. But she objectively insulated the country. Putin admitted that they did not know what would happen economically when they started the SMO and that things turned out much better than they expected.

Charles T Maguire's avatar

“ Not unlike maga rednecks and hillbillies returning for ever more betrayal and fraud and travesty”…..

Weiner, MAGA is in very difficult situation. MAGA fully supports Trump on domestic issues, but is severely upset and feels betrayed by Trump on his foreign wars. MAGA knows we were lied to about ending wars and not starting new ones. We also know why….Trump is Israel first.

However, what is alternative? Democratic party will go right back to funneling as much printed money to the nazi’s as possible, take down border protection and quickly due to US what they did in Minnesota with Somali’s.

So for MAGA the choice is clear…suffer with foreign wars and meddling but protect domestic priorities vs. losing both with democratic victory.

I guess its a true Hobsons choice, but the choice is clear.
