And only then did Russia intervene. And they immediately offered peace along the lines of the 2015 agreement, with Donbass staying in Ukraine, just an end to the shelling.
But it's hard to tell people this. The media say nothing. And Russia has been LOUSY in PR. They only talk about Ukraine NATO membership. Not even adding that "if we'd allow NATO membership they could take Donbass and start the cleansing and we could do nothing."
