Greetings, all. It’s that time again. There are a lot of new subscribers recently as well, so here’s a chance to bring them on board with our weekly reader’s mailbag. Paid subscribers get to ask a question down below in the comments, which I’ll answer in a much more long-form, thought out, indepth way than usual.
I’m posting this one a little late in the week, so depending on the number of questions I may post the responses on Monday rather than Sunday, give or take, as I want to give time for questions to build up so everyone who wants to ask has a chance to do so.
Here’s the last one we did to give an example for anyone just coming on board:
As always, I’d prefer most of the questions to be Ukraine War related as that’s closest to my wheelhouse. But if you happen to have a pressing question on something outside of that, like economy, culture, etc., then I’ll do my best to answer it, particularly if it dovetails with global geopolitical issues.
Ok, have at it!
And if you aren’t a paid subscriber yet and want to ask something, I highly encourage you to sign up to a monthly or yearly subscription to help support my work.
Given the recent announcement by Jens Stoltenberg about making Ukraine part of NATO, do you think this is more posturing, or is there something to it? As Ukraine steadily moves towards collapse I foresee the EU and US using NATO enrollment as a last ditch attempt to prevent a Ukraine defeat.
I know you’ve addressed this somewhat in the past but I’ve seen a couple things now about the potential attack on an underground NATO bunker from a month or so ago. I’ve heard numbers of 200 to 300 potential victims. Any further information you can provide?
