As much important, or more, how many American soldiers have died and were seriously injured.

Likely in tens and hundreds.

They were eliminated not only at military bases, but at makeshift command and control centres settled in industrial barracks, mobile units, containers ad hoc arrangements and at commercial office spaces. Easy to count them if they were near base, but not if tens of kilometres away at industrial parks.

Some were targeted at hotels to which they were hastily relocated. They were grassed to Iranian military by employees of that hotels, even if they were undercover in civilian clothing, pretending to be tourists etc. But haircut, behaviour, group socialising would give them off.

One base was relocated back home to USA, soldiers and their families were told to pack up only personal items into small rucksacks, airplane hand luggage and moved to airport within tens of minutes. That means total collapse of defence and imminent threat.

Shia Muslims, the locals and, even more so, migrant workers employed at that hotels, restaurants, were photographing suspects, their cars, giving their coordinates and later posting images from damage.

grr's avatar

At the start of the Jew's attack on Iran the US military advertised for Personal Effects Specialists. The military hospital in Germany announced no procedures other than combat to be performed.

Both aren't done for just a dozen deaths and dozens of wounded.

An estimate I read two weeks ago was 900 dead, many thousands wounded.

And now meriKunt military personnel are accusing the Pentagram/DoD of minimising (down playing) their injuries in their medical reports.

Whatever the true numbers, they will emerge one day.

Ray Noack's avatar

Holy crap .

Total radio silence here in US

Eclavdra's avatar

So you haven't noticed the spike in "training deaths" reported in the US since this started? More reported in the last 3 months than the previous 36. Just coincidence right? Stupid insect.

David Chere-Bolelwang's avatar

The way they were babbling on, I sensed some time ago that there was some degree of panicking on the part of US authorities up to the president himself.. I guess the incessant lying in other areas of life in the US has perfected the deception.. (from Johannesburg)

frankly's avatar

Wonder if the families are compensated for not questioning what has happened. Hope the truth comes out sooner and to a broader part of society than happened after the USS Liberty.

When it comes to the US measuring the effectiveness of any endeavour, they always list the cost as the main determining factor.

My question is what percentage of any price tag goes to finance the corruption that dominates their regime?

Lawyers to stifle any regulation, media efforts to change lies into truth, how much does a Supreme court justice cost, can't be too cheap.

At this rate the F-35 will be getting shot down by boypads never mind manpads.

Will Catchum's avatar

The families are not told what happened. They are told it was a training accident.

TFG's avatar

Yes I find the lack of reporting on deaths interesting for other reasons, the media being complicit with the blackout is a very, very curious. Trump was doing his masters bidding and the media was told to STFU.

JohnOnKaui's avatar

And who are Trump's masters?

Please don't say Netanyahu unless you care to expand into who he works for.

pimaCanyon's avatar

who do you think they are?

JohnOnKaui's avatar

The list is long, very long.

Every billionaire has his own interests.

The Jewish Mob is an important piece. Their rise in the criminal world seems to parallel the rise of Jewish billionaires to 40% of all American billionaires.

The other billionaires are just sitting on the sidelines placing bets. They will move when they see an opportunity or a need.

The Jewish Supremacists may or May not actually be Israel supporters.

Members of Congress have their agendas which are varied except for the cash from AIPAC.

“They” are nebulous. There is no single alliance or organization.

“They “ are any group you care to identify.

What they have in common is Capitalism.

pimaCanyon's avatar

"What they have in common is Capitalism." implying that Capitalism is the problem? I would say that the aberration of capitalism known as corporate monopoly capitalism is the problem. In the East Indian company US founders had seen firsthand what a corporate monopoly could do, how it had corrupted parliament and the power it wielded, so they severely limited corporations in the new republic. But they didn't go far enough. They should have banned corporations altogether and written that ban into the Constitution because even though they put limits on corporations (one corp could not own another corp, no LLC's), the ultra rich got laws passed to nullify those restrictions. If they'd banned corps and written that into the Constitution, it would have been much more difficult to make the changes which have resulted in predatory monopoly capitalism that we have in the US today.

Deplorable Commissar's avatar

What tiny group just happens to have the largest percentage of billionaires ?

frankly's avatar

"What they have in common is Capitalism"and psycho-pathological tendencies.

Put ten of those type in a room with two hundred total normal, all strangers, and they are drawn to each other and form a gang.

It's not the Jewish, Italian, Chinese, Russian or WASP mobs that rule the world. Psycho-Mob may be over represented by certain folk.

We should be looking for a different indicator than ethnicity to stop this madness.

Karla M LaZier's avatar

No one with an ability for critical thinking believes that only 13 were KIA. Hegseth took over the military personnel’s publication Stars and Stripes and censors and controls all content l, if this had not happened deaths and injuries would have been more transparent. Morale in the military must be at an all time low and one can’t verify recruitment but this does not bode well for that either.

Fascism is alive and well in the US - Have you ever heard of the element Thorium? Thorium an element found in the polar region and in US possession since 1959 has the ability to power the world for 60,000 years. But US did not see it as having the ability to be weaponized so chose not to develop it.

Had we had the foresight to do so we would now have sufficient energy. Thorium now in the hands of China, a country willing to scientifically work to utilize Thorium, which took years will soon have this power resource to ensure their future energy needs. Look for article by Henry Tillman a scientist in interview with Glenn Deisen

and a recent article on the rapid melting of the polar region also described by Tillman. All the billions we spend on war could have been used to develop Thorium but we are a death cult and war is our religion and demonizing the other is our reason for being. So in the nineties we gave the Thorium to China, a country willing to develop the science to make Thorium useable. Foresight and an ancient civilization has given the Chinese the values and

determination to plan ahead. The US motto is every man for himself and no real scientific fortitude it takes to create a life giving technology. We will soon be the marginalized other. Pray that other countries will be willing to work with us given or complete lack of morality and ethics.

No one still knows how many US troops they murdered with the fake vaxxine❗I came upon a report few years back that said they removed no less than 200 US soldiers from this ship I forgot the name of. And they did not peep a sound as to the reason why they removed them. They just said at least 3 soldiers were able to commit suicide in the ship within like 9 to 12 months time❗And that 200 were moved to an inland building. At the time I was reading daily about the vax effects everywhere. And it was not pretty at all as we were still in the middle of one of the lock downs or almost through it all. Then It just hit me in the mouth like a baseball bat that those poor soldiers were likely put out of order by the BW as I Know they were forced to take it. So some of them are going to die while others will be permanently disabled by the inoculation. So it made no sense for them to keep them on the ship as they are now no longer able to perform their military duties. This is just one instance as there are others.

Steve Kirsch also released a figure of the total of permanently disabled Americans by the vaxx right around the same time. And it was 5 million Americans. I am sure the figures are now much higher.

The people who govern this country are demons and Not humans...This is A Fact.

Imagine how humiliating it must have been for US soldiers to be shuffled in/out of hotels and basements (while getting the stink eye from everyone they see).

Then they pull up Fox News, expecting excessive coverage of their plight - only to find that they don't even exist.

Karla M LaZier's avatar

Warriors are a marginalized class - see lack of taxation for oligarchs - citizens are a marginalized class too - our taxes pay for this - deficit could be wiped out overnight if the techno oligarch class payed their share in taxes- who do we fight for? not the citizens but the oligarchs - we are all indentured servants of a fascist government. Life in the US in the 21st century with AI on the horizon what else could go wring?

Karla M LaZier's avatar

Where are the families of the US military personnel? No pushback for abandoning their sons and daughters. No outcry as many are taken to Ramstein, Germany due to wounds for treatment or the dead for processing. Silent mourning- is a cover up in actuality of what we have wrought on our own citizens.

May your loved ones Rest In Peace and may you know peace after suffering such a loss.

Stars and Stripes article currently reporting that families of military personnel are lobbying to create a flag for families of soldiers who have committed suicide to honor and memorialize them with. You cannot make this up- meanwhile a circus takes place at the White House via the WWF memorializing our 250th year of existing as a country. Our president more concerned with building a new ball room than honoring the dead by acknowledging their sacrifice.

Arlington Cemetery only featured once in the news for burials from this debacle.

This is aall the fault of the trampe. You know the Soldiers who were captured by the Iranians as they attempted to drop in on that island?!?! The Iranians released a vid of them being under arrest at this undisclosed location. One of the soldiers was silently shedding tears while being filmed. Nobody here is talking about them. It's as if they don't even exist. That's how much regard the 5 times draft dodging criminal in chief has for them. Nobody is touching this guy for how many F ups he managed to generate in less than 2 years. ...So much for "honoring our Troops". ...

Karla M LaZier's avatar

Hello SA,

Received your heartfelt comment re all the vaxxed soldiers aboard an unnamed ship . I am referring you to Sasha Latypova on substack and Katherine Watts also previously on substack you can find all of her work by linking with Latypova who publishes a deep dive into laws our government created for over a century to bring us the PREP Act enabling the Covid vaccine research he’d by Katherine Watts. The horrors continue as we still require children to be Covid vaccinated to attend school in California- the murder and maiming continues. All commercial pilots required to take the vax many of whom are dying at young ages with little transparency re cause -everything is hidden in the purported land of the free and home of the brave. No free speech, no discussion, our medical system still pushing the vaccine on all ‘patients, the targeted citizens’. Suppressed information the norm - we have been captured and all with the authorities using a counter measure, a kill shot of a Covid vaccine to do so. No one talks of the deaths because a death cult can’t acknowledge their culpability in killing its citizens. See Bill Gates’s Ebola vax in Africa now, today, culling that population on purpose presented as humanitarianism. Bullets aren’t any longer needed - war conducted through a hypodermic needle - now through aerosols as well the goal to weaken and cull the population so the US can steal all their resources both human and natural resources. It’s happening in the US as well. AI will bring major changes and fewer human beings will be required in the labor force - thus reducing the population is a focus of the DoD and HHS - reducing knowledge, suppressing information, censoring all exchange of facts is essential to ensure a docile population that has become complicit in its own demise. Do Not Comply.

Glad you care,

Jürgen Räche's avatar

Rest assured... this report is a lie!

There are people working there; wherever there are people, there are contacts—BELIEVE ME, IT'S A LIE.

They would certainly like that to be the case, precisely because Russia is currently in the process of creating a counterpart to Starlink.

Just last week, during a visit, Putin assured the soldiers that a solution to the Starlink problem was imminent... it’s strange that an attack supposedly took place right now.

GM's avatar
Jun 27Edited

We have satelite pictures, looks very bad.

And they will keep striking it.

So what happens when both Dubna and Vladimir are out?

Bye, bye, GLONASS, military satellites, Rassvet, etc?

Jürgen Räche's avatar

That’s nonsense!

The Russians aren't stupid enough to leave a facility like that unprotected, vulnerable to being hit by cruise missiles that aren't even stealth-capable.

Dubna, for example, is about 1,200 km away—a distance where a subsonic drone would be detected with 100% certainty. Russian civilian aircraft aren't even allowed to fly over Dubna; the airspace is restricted within a 250 km radius!

Vladimir is even further away... and on top of that, the whole facility is underground—something the report doesn't even mention... why?

Out of ignorance?

I was there... about 35 years ago; I would know.

Do you think the Russians only built their missile factories underground in Ukraine? Yes, I’m alluding to the use of the "Oreshnik" (Hazelnut) missile... By the way, those buildings in Ukraine were about 80 years old; in Vladimir, we’re talking about state-of-the-art facilities with their own air defense systems—and not cheap ones, either. The entire area is a high-security zone with S-400s and other systems dug in there.

GM's avatar

It's not 1200 km away, it's 600 km away, around Moscow.

And there is all sorts of sensitive unprotected stuff in Russia because nobody imagined the country would be under sustained strategic bombing campaign.

The assumption has always been that the first attack will also be the last because Russian leadership would immediately respond decisively.

Jürgen Räche's avatar

Can you read a map? If not, let Google show you.

It’s about 200 km from Moscow—and how far is Moscow from the outer Ukrainian border? I mean, the distance from Kyiv to the outer Ukrainian border relative to Moscow has shifted about 700 km to the west.

Hey, Mr. Smart Guy... I spent nearly 12 years of my life in Russia—and yes, in Ukraine—so I’m well aware of the country's size... unlike 95% of the commenters here... compared to that, the USA is just a parking lot in Moscow!

The timing of this report is striking.

For weeks, Starlink has been hailed and celebrated in Western media bubbles as a major asset—which it certainly is in drone warfare—yet Musk himself remains silent on the matter.

Didn't the original intentions include the principle that "Starlink must not be used to kill people"? Well, better to stay quiet about that now.

Curiously, the report appears shortly after Putin made remarks about resolving the issue and promised that domestic solutions would soon be available.

It surfaced almost as if Putin’s offhand comment had activated a target coordinate—completely overlooking the fact that he was thereby revealing something to the adversary... for one thing is certain: no intelligence agency knows anything about this specific area!

TJ Eastwood's avatar

Cotra's avatar

Russia has really lost this war.

Now, the west can do a first strike.

GM's avatar

These strikes are in fact a preparation for a first strike.

Take out communications with satellites, preempt the Russian strike on yours and disrupt Russian missile targeting and communications with strategic assets, then Russia is finished.

Accordingly, Russia now has to either:

1) strike immediately with nukes to at the very least physically remove the enemy from a radius of several thousand kilometers around its borders

2) fold

Past behavior being the best predictor of future actions, we are moving towards the latter outcome

The "Cotra" / "GM" type belongs to the former camp specialized in the "destroy Russia/China" theatre.

SA's avatar

NO, what matters more is that is not the topic at hand, here. wake up🙄‼️

Quill Cross's avatar

It amazes me how very smart people don’t understand what is ACTUALLY going on. The strait was MEANT to be closed. The bases were MEANT to be destroyed. There was no “miscalculation.” The sharp minds leading this investigation need to get sharper.

The Spectre's avatar

By whom they were meant to be closed and destroyed?

I don't buy that narrative.

The Alarmist's avatar

I dunno… seems Bibi was reading “Jews versus Rome” last year, but that has nothing with bringing down the Western world, right?

JohnOnKaui's avatar

There have been several analysts who have proposed this scenario.

Alistair Crooke was the first I was aware of. "The Plan" is to close the strait to bring the world's economies to its knees so that the USA remains the last viable economy as it did after WWII. This was a Judge Nap (IIRC) video of about 2 months ago.

There are roughly 4 additional steps which include Hagseth's "Greater North America" proposal. Richard Medhurst has a video suggesting the retreat is to the Atlantic Ocean. You might consider the Israelis who are wealthy enough to abandon Israel and move to Argentina.

As an aside Anyna Parampil on Judge Nap explains how Venezuela is being incorporated, and the events that suggest Colombia is next.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zJecjfIAJ0&

Until you get to "The Golden Billion", which is described in Wikipedia as Russian doomsday propaganda, but then the Georgia Guidestrones were planted long before this final stage.

https://substack.com/@fijirefugee/p-193974188

I'm not suggesting any of these possibilities -will- happen. They are all various nightmares that others have suggested which cannot be dismissed.

I mean, who would have thought a year ago that Israel is on the verge of being eliminated from the map.

Deplorable Commissar's avatar

Look into why Israel would want the Gulf states knocked down and the strait closed.

Seeker's avatar

I guess because things are so well planned, controlled and nothing is ever a consequence of human incompetence, hubris and overconfidence. I guess that is necessary to keep the myth alive.

JohnOnKaui's avatar

No. However, the consequences you speak of do result in Plan B, C, D or whatever being implemented.

Wilkerson (backed by others) insists that there is no way that US Intel didn't know Iran would shut down Hormuz. War games going back to 2000 always returned that result.

There are many, many, many different factions involved. All have different goals.

Perhaps watch the wimpy President in Homeland for the last 4 or 5 episodes and the "fight" occurring in the Oval office.

At least one of those factions wanted Hormuz closed. Just as there was at least one faction that wanted Nordstream blown up.

You need a bit of Brian Berletic and Aaron Good education.

Seeker's avatar

No matter how well, planned the strategy is, there are always unintended consequences that even the best contingency planning may miss.

JohnOnKaui's avatar

Are you missing the point about all the factions which have different objectives? They work against each other. Of course there has to be a plan B C D….

Seeker's avatar

There possibly is no plan except being the best and greatest military force in human history that all enemies will cowar in fear. My apologies my friend but I am a cynic. I have more confidence in human incompetence than I do in proper planning. I don't believe in control above and beyond causality. You may be right who knows, in the end someone may have achieved an objective.

E H's avatar

Wilkerson (supported by others) insists that it is impossible for US intelligence agencies not to have known that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz. War games dating back to 2000 have consistently yielded that result. They are likely living in the distant past. You could find higher-quality intelligence in any bar on the planet. The agencies have turned into a henhouse where the talk is all about which chicken will lay the egg first.

Robert Alan's avatar

My understanding is that US intelligence warned Trump that the strait would be closed by Iran in the event of war, but Trump ignored the warnings and insisted that the whole business would be concluded in a few days. What a moron.

E H's avatar

Plan B: Hurt Iran, dig in deeper for the next round.

Plan C: ...

Plan W: Leave the bases, retreat back to the Western Hemisphere.

Plan X: Nuke the fuck out of everything.

Which part of STRATEGY do you not understand?

When playing ACTUAL chess, one has a range of choice moves depending upon what your adversary does. Cotra's avatar

Victor's avatar

No, you don't because it hasn't reached yet. Just as the global supply line crisis is not seen yet because the stoppages from the Strait of Hormuz haven't filtered through to the rest of the world yet - but it is there and soon you will see it as shortages begin to appear on the world markets.

Cotra's avatar

But how it is possible that after 4 months the stoppages from the Strait of Hormuz haven't filtered through to the rest of the world yet ?

E H's avatar

Russia had banned fuel exports—though not diesel, of which it is the leading exporter. The good news is that it is now banning diesel exports.

Stjopa's avatar

A crisis doesn't necessarily mean that diesel will disappear immediately. A crisis intensifies over time. The price of diesel is determined by supply and demand. Currently, demand isn't rising in Europe. However, the price is rising. Therefore, the supply of diesel decreases. The price rises rapidly – diesel will likely become significantly scarcer – a crisis is looming. Diesel price trends in Europe:

JohnOnKaui's avatar

I suggest you check out No1's Daily Digest. Johnson isn't the only one reporting on the drawdown of the SPR.

Lufthansa has already canceled thousands of flights. Jet Fuel and Diesel are nearly the same distillate.

I think "Black Swan" is another substack source you need to check out.

There's also at least two that concentrate on Petroleum.

Pretty much Europe is going to freeze this winter.

abcdefg's avatar

And there are no birds.

JohnOnKaui's avatar

Pretty much yes. For at least some faction of the Oligarchy.

The American Oligarchy is made up of many factions and factions within factions. Let's agree that not "everyone" wanted Kennedy killed. But enough factions did.

This is the end state of Capitalism. I don't understand why so many don't see the obvious.

Especially when looking at what's happening with Israel. It has always been a proxy state for the American Empire. Consider that the "Boston Brahmins" (which is my "short-hand" for "not Jewish Supremacists") went along with the Jewish Supremacists and that faction of the Jewish Supremacist who are true supporters of Israel. It has to be quite obvious to even the most dense intellect that the majority of the Oligarchy never thought Israel would last.

Intelligence since at least 2000 has always said that an attack on Iran would close Hormuz. Which faction paid (threatened?) Trump enough to make that happen?

Now, Israelis who see the writing on the wall are leaving for Crete and Argentina. The suckers left behind will probably be slaughtered. Israel's continued existence is in doubt, but it will require a two-state solution.

AsiaticGlobalOrder (on substack) has repeatedly explained the tenuous position of the West Asian Monarchies.

IIRC it was Johnson who, this morning was laying out the negotiations between Egypt, Saudi, Turkiye and Pakistan that are hoping to come to an "understanding" with Iran. Pepe Escobar (who has a new channel with Johnson called Transition Protocol) was saying the same thing. The obvious result will be the elimination of Israel.

Empires fall because of the hubris of leaders who rise to the top.

You and I might agree that it is "Imperial suicide by stupidity." but we aren't the Oligarchy. They have "other plans". Including breaking the USA apart into fiefdoms owned by various oligarchs turning Citizens into neo-serfs. Why do you reject this when it is reported on nearly daily?

Montefrío the Curious's avatar

If I were an Israeli I'd think twice about moving to Argentina. Right now, Argentina has a deranged and corrupt president who is a "co-religionist", but Argentine politics are very volatile and a different administration might not be so friendly to the "Issac Accords" and the loss of sovereignty they imply. Cyprus seems a popular destination at present, but I was in Turkey during the week they launched their invasion of the island (1974) and for all practical purposes annexed about half of it. The better bet would be the USA, Canada or perhaps a rump Ukraine should there still be one. Australia and New Zealand would likely also be better choices than Patagonia, the Plan Andina destination intended by the present president, who must stand for reelection next year.

The more this guy tries to demonstrate a command of the language the more he exposes the fact that he has none.

Tim's avatar
Jun 27Edited

Yours isn't that great either.

What you effectively said at the end was that "He has none ( command of the language )," which is solecistic.

The word "superlatives" also defines "the best or most extreme version of something," which Trump didn't imply.

So the superlative of "large" is "largest," and that for "very expensive" is "most expensive."

Also, his reference to a "cargo carrying ship" differentiated it from - for example - a passenger carrying ship.

Not to stick up for Trump, who as you say, is an ill educated buffoon; but if you throw stones, don't live in a glass house.

My responses are less about grammar, than about hypocrisy - so if I see somebody denigrating another person's use of language, when their own leaves somewhat to be desired, I mention it.

The Bible has the same point of view - "Hypocrite!

First cast the beam out of thine own eye, and then the mote out of thy neighbour's!!"

Your "fun internet" seems to involve you criticizing others, but not having the insight or self-awareness to accept the same criticisms for yourself.

Having said that though; as a non-native speaker of English, ( so you say ) your useage is very good, excellent even.

But still an open goal for me, should I choose to intervene.

Or more simply and less offensively, somebody who could be considered to be a teacher of others.

Nothing spiteful or petty about teaching the language - but I do find that many of those who like to criticize others but can't take criticism themselves take it that way, as their egos get hurt.

BTW, I was not policing the thread; had Mr ebear not first policed Mr Trump's speech, I would not have commented.

As I pointed out, my reaction had more to do with confronting hypocrisy than teaching language as such.

But I am curious to know how you know that English is not his first language - I in fact suspect that it is.

Victor's avatar

The World Zionist Organisation officially declared war on Germany in 1933 after which they declared a global sanction of all German goods. The sanction was very successful. Hitler then considered all Jews as enemies of the state and proceeded to round them up and place them in camps just as the Americans did with their resident Japanese enemies. The Jews then cried victims. When the war started the jews in the camps were distributed to to camps near factories to work to support the war since young Germans workmen were sent to the front. The camps were work camps not killing fields. Everything since has been a big play put on by the zionists to justify the establishment of a jewish 'homeland' in Palestine, the profits gained from the 'Holocaust Industry' they created and the manipulation of Western society. They could do this because they controlled the media, the movie industry and the politicians. Too bad the internet did not exist then. All this pain might have been avoided.

19th Century Britain built its power on the back of its manufacturing dominance. 20th Century America built its power on the back of its manufacturing dominance. Then they deindustrialised and found out that a hollowed out economy can’t support military supremacy.

grr's avatar

Britain built it's dominance on colonising and exploiting other nations.

The wealth they stole was then used to build their industries. For example the textile industry was stolen from India and relocated to Manchester. At the time India had the largest textile industry in the world and a huge % of the world's GDP.

Tim's avatar

Indian cotton production was neither industrialized nor especially profitable, so " a huge percentage of global GDP" is speculative at best.

Also, none of Britain's colonial activities were driven by native Brits; but by the recently-readmitted ( under Cromwell in the mid-17th century ) jews, who had arrived from Amsterdam.

This is why her empire was of a mercantile rather than a militaristic type.

grr's avatar

I wasn't claiming that India's textile was a huge % of global GDP, their economy was. Their textile industry may not have been industrialised but was huge, and then stolen.

As for the Brit Jews, they were Brits. So were the aristocrats, the beaurocrats, the soldiers, etc that all contributed to the colonisation and grand theft.

Victor's avatar

You are both right. The British Jews financed and planned it and the rest of the Brits implemented it.

(NB: It's the same today)

Lonkal's avatar

In European history, jewish people often functioned as a sort of trade and finance internel/exteriorized Manderin class (their financing by the way cheaper than gentil money lenders). Anyway the jews of Europe were and are Europeans and part of European societies. Talking of them as if they are aliens changes nothing and is dishonest in my opinion. It was the Brits- jewish, CofE, evangelical, whatever. You may as well make a big deal that some of them were Geminis or left-handed.

Tim's avatar

jews did not offer cheaper loans, because usury was outlawed in Gentile society, but tolerated when it was engaged in by jews.

But these people are aliens - by their own statements - Menachem Begin openly stated this, "We are as different from the Gentiles as insects are from men" is effectively what he said, alongside "Divine beings on this planet; in which the goyim's only role is to serve us as slaves."

So if it's dishonest in your opinion, you can take your concerns to the jews who say these things, rather than to the Gentiles who repeat them.

Empire, of course, had nothing to do with the CofE - they simply went along on its coat tails to evangelize the natives, not to profit from them - so it is you who are being dishonest to suggest otherwise.

Tim's avatar

You cannot charactrerize taking something which is common to all, ie the ability to weave cotton, and then industrializing it, as theft.

The Indians spun on home looms; the Brits introduced the Spinning Jenny.

You cannot speak of "global GDP" at that time - the concept is a modern one only.

In any case, what else did Indians produce?

Cow pats dried and used for fuel?

No jew is ever anything other than a jew - that is where their entire focus is; not on the host nation, but on the jewish tribe only.

Those Brits could only contribute to the jewish colonization plan on the back of jewish finance, so they were junior partners in the enterprise.

grr's avatar

It is a fact that Britain destroyed the Indian textile industry. And yes, they then industrialised it in Manchester.

Tim's avatar

So now you switch from "stole" to "destroyed."

Yes, they did destroy it - because industrialized spinning is by definition cheaper than an artisanal effort.

Luis Gómez de Aranda's avatar

Use your logical capabilities, dear Watson. To colonised and exploit other nations one would need to act from a position of previous dominance.

John Osman's avatar

Military dominance is sufficient Luis.

The Mongols conquered China, North India and the Middle East. But other than militarily their civilisation was less advanced than those they subjugated in every aspect.

Luis Gómez de Aranda's avatar

You are confusing two very different situations. Armed peoples organised

in rudimentary States, id est, confederations of tribes, have frequently overrun civilizations that were in a

process of disintegration.

There are many examples of this. The collapse of the Bronze Age cultures, the Arians overrunning the Indo culture, the fall of the Roman Empire, the mongols conquering China.

They did not defeat superior civilizations, they gave the coup de grace to moribund societies.

The British colonizers were clearly not armed tribesmen like the sea people that overrun the Minoic civilization or the Goths that conquered Rome.

If the British and other Europeans established empires worldwide, it was effectively due to their military superiority.

But how could that military superiority project overwhelming power overseas?

1. Superiority of naval construction and seamanship.

2. Superiority in the field of metalurgy. Better artillery and better sidearms.

3. Superiority of fiscal administration to finance large armies.

4. Superior tactical and strategical military methods.

I am amazed that people in this forum lack a minimum of knowledge of history and repeat the absurd narratives of the superiority of the Chinese and Indian societies. Both India and China had been great civilizations in past centuries, but those had decayed many, many centuries before the establishment of the European colonial empires.

In Europe, the Hellenic Civilization, starting around the 8th century BC, desintegrated around the year 500 of our time.

It happened after more than three centuries of decay. Toynbee uses the word collapse for the start of the process of destruction of any Great Society. Then, from the ashes of Greece and Roman, the Western Christian Civilisation was created. It took centuries from the so called Dark Ages before it could consolidate itself. But the fact is that by the XVIII century, it was the only so called Great Society that was still alive.

Great Britain did not suddenly happened to have cannons with five times the range of contemporary Chinese ones. Those were build by a superior system.

Neither machines moved by vapour were send to Great Britain by a benefactor high in the sky.

According to Alfred Thayer Mahan, successful maritime powers required several conditions.

- An accessible coastline.

- Secure access to the oceans.

- Strong commercial ports.

- Reliable political institutions.

- A thriving merchant fleet.

- A navy capable of protecting trade.

And if you want another checklist, look at next on the list of great geostrategists, Sir Halford Mackinder. Mackinder's framework is less a checklist than Mahan's, but it can be summarised in a comparable way.

According to him, successful continental powers required several conditions:

- A vast, defensible land territory.

- Secure interior lines of communication, especially railways.

- Strategic depth, allowing armies to retreat and regroup if necessary.

- Sufficient natural resources and agricultural capacity to sustain prolonged conflict.

- A large population to provide labour, industry and military manpower.

- Limited dependence on maritime trade and vulnerable sea routes.

- Strong central government capable of controlling a large territory.

- The ability to dominate, or prevent rivals from dominating, the Eurasian Heartland.

Mahan believed wealth and security flowed from the sea, Mackinder argued that the greatest long-term strategic advantage lay in controlling the vast interior of Eurasia... what he called the "pivot of history" or "the heartland".

The British Empire only existed after a merchantile revolution and was driven by British entrepreneurs and their collaborators in many parts of the world. The security‘arrangements’ were private companies and locals . Only when this wasn’t enough and the government at home had to come to its aid did it become the Empire. Military might never came into it except when confronted with other ,mostly European, Nations. This is why the British Empire was different from previous Empire building although in the late 19 and early twentieth centuries it took on the attitudes and prejudices of the Classic Empire

cape's avatar

Hey, steady on there - Britain invented the steam engine, was the first nation to industrialise, and as a maritime nation prospered and thrived on trade and commerce.

There is a strong historical argument that Britain's wealth did not begin with empire, but with innovation, trade and sea power.

The country had already developed institutions that encouraged enterprise, finance and technological invention.

The steam engine, mechanised textile production, iron-making and later the railways transformed productivity.

As a leading maritime nation, Britain prospered by carrying goods, providing insurance, banking and global commerce.

Now the empire undoubtedly brought strategic advantages, raw materials and captive markets, and it reinforced Britain's position, but many economic historians argue that it was industrialisation and maritime trade that created Britain's prosperity in the first place. Empire amplified British wealth; it did not create it from nothing.

List of the trite prejudices and denigration. Visit any of the colonies today and you will be surprised to learn that we are not hated (unlike certain other peoples) - if true, how do you explain this?

The idea that the British 'stole" Indian industry is totally absurd. They left India richer and more populous than when they found it, and created a nation welded together from many ethnicities that had never been united before.

Why should India expect to have the same proportion of world industry before the industrial revolution as after it?

It was not only the industrial revolution but also huge parts of the world were opened up. Were the huge industrial advances by North & South America, Australia & New Zealand stolen from the inhabitants of the Indian sub-continent?

Not understanding the difference between comparative wealth and absolute wealth is a classic mistake.

Me getting comparatively richer does NOT make you absolutely poorer, in fact it could directly lead to you becoming absolutely richer than you were previously if I trade with you with what I didn't have before.

Britain absolutely sucked the wealth out of India. The salt tax for one kept them poor.

Jack Dee's avatar

If there’s a fair system for judging something then it gets applied to everyone equally.

If profit and taxation are theft then that’s the standard that must be applied to all Indian and British governments in the past and today.

That’s just not happening.

Past British industry in India is judged as tyranny, current India and international industry is judged as essential economic development.

One is condemned for being profit driven and not being “altruistic” the other is praised for being profitable and altruism is not considered relevant.
