John, it's not an area I'm expert in, but I would expect that much if not most of Russia's gas/oil refineries & exports, being formerly designed to flow to Europe before the current bunch of CIA puppet cretins took over Europe (I won't say "EU" because it includes Britain); probably still leave the St. P ports for the rest of the World Market. Maybe that isn't the case - certainly a lot more will be flowing eastwards and S-eastwards now - but still, losing the Baltic import-export trade is definitely going to hurt a LOT. And if Turkey closes the Straits too, damn.

Iran has put a 300kg satellite into orbit, ergo they can lob a warhead of at least 300kg to any point on Earth, and they already have hyper-sonics....
While the two technologies are obviously linked - and the Cold War "Moon Missions" were an obvious pump to the MIC, there is also clearly a difference. Satellite launches have to take off from specific launchpads; while fx US ICBMS are scattered across the country. The US could launch a nuclear first strike at any time - but it couldn't get to the International Space Station for its astronauts.
How long it would take for Iran to manage that final step is anyone's guess, but then they also have to build all those capable missiles too, and they are not cheap by any standards.

Rockets are rockets, the hard part is getting to orbit, an ICBM does NOT actually go to orbit (waits for nit-pick reply about partial orbit which intersects target co-ordinates).
You do know that the USA still launches payloads to orbit using old ICBM's? Because that's how different the technologies aren't...
Satellites are launched from wherever the launchpad *is*, there's nothing specific about the pad that dictates what a payload should be. Usually the most important part about launch pad location for satellite launch is that it is as close to the equator as possible, to maximise payload mass.
US ICBM's being scattered hither and yon is to ensure maximum survivability of said rockets for second strike capability, NOT for any other reason...
US not being able to get astronauts to the ISS was the result of political choices around the Space Shuttle, now being repeated with the Senate Launch System boondoggle.
There's nothing, technologically speaking, to stop Iran from scaling their IRBM's into ICBM's, they've already done the hard work, the rest is engineering.
